I initially thought so, but it looks like there isn't even a weight limit, since Samoa Joe is 280 lbs. Given that, pretty much anyone is eligible for X Division action, even though they're all busy chasing the NWA Heavyweight.

Hm, no SD review by LordKooler? Bummer, what happened? And to think, I forgot all about TNA being on tonight...("God, I'm so STUPID!")

Yeah, DuMa is correct. "Ravishing" Rick Rude had the "Rude Awakening" as a finisher. And it was a damn neckbreaker. Then, you got Jake "The Snake" Roberts with the DDT. And, of course, the Ultimate Warrior's Guerilla Press Slam and Splash. Gay, but, hell. It made them money and that's all that mattered.

Well, I'd like to wish everyone a Merry (fucking) Christmas and a Happy (fucking) New Year. Now to watch the 60 minute adrenaline rush that is known as TNA iMPACT!!!!

I would say RVD because I've seen him in his ECW days and he has a ton of moves in his aresenal.

That would be an awsome match.

Watching TNA right now. Good to see christian in the main event.

As for finishers, it really depends on how it is done. Moves like the people's elbow are stupid in theory, but the crowd reacted to it like mad, same for the stunner. Also sometimes the suspense of them setting up for it will get the reaction, or in others case it becomes a surprise "out of nowhere" kind of move like the RKO which needs no buildup to be really effective. And what is teh RKO you ask? Why it's another version of a neck breaker. So don't be hating Carlito's move.

LordKooler's TNA iMPACT review
1.Christian Cage segment
Santa claus comes out with Traci and then Christian Cage comes out and asks Santa if he has something for him. Santa gives Christian Cage Jeff Jarrett's clothing and Christian Cage puts on the clothes to make fun of Jarrett. Who was the guy that played santa? I think Monty Brown came out and attacked Christian Cage and then Sting starts playing mind games on Planet Jarrett again.
2.Christopher Daniels vs Eric Young
During the match, Shannon Moore was watching the match on the top of the iMPACT entrance and he once again held up the sign, "The X Division needs to get punk'ed!" Alex Shelley also watched the match but he recorded it on his camcorder. Alex Shelley owns 200 wrestling tapes. Christopher Daniels won at the end. When will Shannon Moore wrestle on iMPACT?
3.Abyss vs Chris Sabin
Dave Hebner was watching the match with a clipboard and was standing on top of the entrance like what he did last week. Abyss won at the end. What does Dave Hebner write on that clipboard? And will we see Earl & Brian Hebner in TNA?
4.Ron Killings vs Kenny King
Ron Killings won the match. Then BG James' father "Bullet" Bob Armstrong came out to confront Ron Killings.
5.Christian Cage vs Chris Harris
Christian Cage won the match. Then all of Planet Jarrett attack Christian Cage.

SD! wrestlers just got lazy in the holiday season. :P But don't worry, RAW will be a normal episode. Like last year, it will be the "beat the clock" matches for all the six wrestlers who will be involved in the EC match. Let me pray that wigger Cena will not enter the chamber first which will ruin the match. :(

I agree that WWE needs to make him either the last, or the second to last man in the Chamber. I've heard of problems before where the chambers did not open in the way they were supposed to, but one would think by now they've figured out how to set the order up and avoid the screw-ups. Cena is already damaged in the popularity department these days, and letting him try to carry a match like this would just erode Cena's popularity further I think. Sure, you can argue that if he starts, he can basically punch on his first opponent for a little while, then the next guy pops and Cena can be "incapacitated" for some period while the other guys basically carry it, but, one of the smart builds WWE has always done with these matches is the idea of "when does the most popular babyface enter?" and that usually is right at the end, or close to it. So I don't think we neccessarily have to worry about Cena popping out very early on...well, those of us who are ordering the show anyway...I probably won't be one of those :)

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it.

Probably after Mania, I still think they're going to try and squeeze out and Orton/Batista match for the show, then I think they should make Batista take a rest, regardless of what it does to the show in the short term, it will due long term damage to the man, and the show, if he becomes even more injured then he is right now.

First of all, I'd lime to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Or, for some of you, Happy Chanuka, Merry Kwanza or simply, Happy Holidays. This report will be fairly short because not much stuff goes down over the holidays. I believe that Raw will have a bit of a Christmas theme this monday, and it airs @ 10pm for those of you in Canada (such as myself).

Current Headlines for Christmas 2005

More TNA News: Hemme Update, Kanyon, Kidman, Joe, Daniels, More

TNA has attempted to contact Christy Hemme from the moment she was released. No word on how things stand now but it is likely that she has a 90 day no compete clause anyways.

Chris Kanyon, or "Chris K" as he is referred to in TNA, was actually scheduled to wrestle Raven at the November TNA PPV instead of the December one. Kanyon asked for way more money than TNA was willing to pay and thus they brought in P.J. Polaco (Justin Credible) at the last minute instead. Soon after, Kanyon rescinded his pay demands and told TNA he would wrestle for next to nothing as he wanted the exposure.

Kanyon told TNA they could use his name for TV, but he then told them that they should change the spelling of his name to "Canyon" just in case. They both decided to just go with the name "Chris K."

Had Kanyon not been able to make the December pay-per-view, Billy Kidman was the alternative to wrestling Raven. Kidman was once a member of "Raven's Flock" in WCW. However, TNA officials are a bit leery of bringing him in as he is now on the "You can't trust him to show up" list after no-showing an AWE TV taping in Winnipeg two weeks ago, no-showing another independent wrestling show last month, and causing Torrie Wilson to rush home from Australia for some sort of family emergency.

Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels for the X title and Raven vs. A Mystery Opponent (Billy Kidman? - not confirmed) have both been announced for TNA's Final Resolution PPV.

Shane Douglas' wife gave birth to a baby on 12/13. Congrats Shane! Douglas actually left the TV tapings last week and Terry Taylor subbed in so Shane could attend to family business.

Big Evening Update: Vito, Cena, Coach, RAW, Lesnar, More News

WWE.com has posted an article with Big Vito where he talks about helping children in need during the holidays. Talk about a guy desperate to keep his job in WWE (or fearing that he's on the way out), read the interview and need we say more.

WWE.com has also posted an interview and some old photos of Romeo before he entered WWE.

A New Five Questions with the Champ, Coachcast, & a Miz column have all been added to WWE.com as well.

THQ announced today that while Forth-Quarters sales are trailing behind previous years, they are still on track to meet holday quarter expectations for this year due to the very strong sale of 'WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2006' on both. Playstation 2 and the PSP Platforms. The end result on the market today was that THZ doubled their average volume and closed up 5 percent at $23.65.

RAW will air Thursday, February 16th from 9-11EST due to the Westminster Dog Show.

WWE was denied their request for a temporary restraining order against Brock Lesnar on 12/13. A 1/3 hearing has been scheduled where both sides will present their sides of the situation. If WWE is victorious, Lesnar may be forced to not wrestle at the 1/4 New Japan show at the Tokyo Dome, their biggest show of the year. Lesnar is currently New Japan's IWGP Champion.

As noted earlier, WWE does plan to continue the Tim White angle on TV, meaning he isn't dead in the story yet. Vince McMahon apparently considers the story to be "dark humor."

Shawn Michaels Taken Off Of RAW Preview

A couple of days ago, the latest RAW preview for this upcoming episode mentioned that Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels would be critque the new DVD of Bret Hart.

Shawn Michaels' name was removed from the preview. No word as of yet as to why it was change. Possibly maybe because Michaels didn't want to get involved?

Backstage TNA News On Team 3D, Sting Update, & More

A few TNA wrestlers have been vocal as of late in regards to Sting coming back to TNA. Despite some wrestlers feeling this way, Sting has expressed to TNA management that he wants to help the company and use his star power to establish new stars. One TNA source even described Sting as sounding very motivated. Many are taking a wait and see approach.

Brother Devon (formerly D'Von Dudley) is said to be working out harder than ever right now to get in the best shape he can to show up WWE management after the company opted to not renew their deals earlier this year. Although not confirmed, there are said to be some "whispers" going on within TNA that it would be nice if Brother Ray (formerly Bubba Ray Dudley) would take on the same attitude and try to get in better shape as well.

On a related note, Brother Ray's stiffness in the ring as of late in TNA is reportedly becoming an issue with some wrestlers in the company. Despite some wrestlers being upset, others are said to be happy with how stiff Ray was with America's Most Wanted since Chris Harris and James Storm have taken on a reputation for being protected by TNA management and having larger egos since being put together. Of the two, James Storm is said to have the worse reputation. In regards to some of Ray's chest chops during matches, one TNA wrestler told The Torch, "He's just a jerk about it. And he's always been that way. That's what you get with him."

Just thought I'd offer some comment and critique where possible.

Current Headlines for Christmas 2005

Yeah, Hemme was released, so she would be under the standard WWE 90-day no compete clause, so TNA at this point can probably only tell her that they're interested, and can't sit down and talk contract, or consider bringing her in until the 90 days are up. Hemme would be a very good edition for TNA I think, as she's certainly a pretty girl, has popularity, and can even allow TNA to possibly pursue serious consideration of a Woman's Division of their own. One that isn't a non-existent joke.

How in the hell can Kanyon pull "I want more money!" on ANYBODY at this point? Kanyon is a very good worker, don't misunderstand me, I'm not disputing his abilities, what I'm disputing though is Kanyon's popularity and star power at this point. Kanyon has been out of the national spotlight for three years or better now, last appearing in the Alliance angle...and he was one of the biggest buffoons of said angle. So I don't see where he thinks he can try and command a big paycheck.

That's just sad to me, Kidman is talented, and I think WWE really missed the boat with him, he could have really been a lynchpin for the Cruiser division. But you know? If the guy dosen't want to work, he needs to do himself and everyone else a favor and get out of the business, because he's not going to make money, or have a good reputation if he continues to no-show places.

I would hope they have someone bigger lined up for Final Resolution, I think the last I heard Sandman was totally out of the business at this point, if Vampiro is available, that might work. You could try to get DDP in there for popping a buyrate. Lot of options for, quite frankly, use of a bigger name then Billy Kidman.

I've heard Vito has a lot of heat, even if he dosen't, just being paired with Nunzio who sadly seems to be going absolutely nowhere, has gotta have him fearing for his job. Vito was brought in specifically to be Nunzio's heavy, and if Nunzio isn't really getting used very much, neither will Vito, and if one of them is going out the door, you'd best believe that it's going to be Vito gone first.

WWE.com has also posted an interview and some old photos of Romeo before he entered WWE.

Ah, The Heart Throbs...who else thinks they'll be losing their jobs in the annual round of post-Mania cuts?

RAW will air Thursday, February 16th from 9-11EST due to the Westminster Dog Show.

I had really enjoyed not having to worry about the stupid pre-emptions...seriously, even now, does the Dog Show REALLY outdraw RAW?

WWE was denied their request for a temporary restraining order against Brock Lesnar on 12/13. A 1/3 hearing has been scheduled where both sides will present their sides of the situation. If WWE is victorious, Lesnar may be forced to not wrestle at the 1/4 New Japan show at the Tokyo Dome, their biggest show of the year. Lesnar is currently New Japan's IWGP Champion.

More and more, I think Vince is just looking for spite, and to try and destroy any value Lesnar may have ever had. I understand Vince is pissed, Lesnar is one of those guys that it is absolutely true he would have been nothing without Vince, and this is somebody that a lot of time and money was spent getting him to where he is, even BEFORE he debuted. Lesnar is a product of WWE's developmental system.

As noted earlier, WWE does plan to continue the Tim White angle on TV, meaning he isn't dead in the story yet. Vince McMahon apparently considers the story to be "dark humor."

I still however, consider Vince to have his head planted squarely up his ass. Or that he's just obssesed with the pursuit of publicity and controversial storylines and can't differentiate between when he's pushing the envelope and providing great entertainment, and when he's just pushing the envelope just to push it, and being vile.

If this is a "let's piss on Bret again" segment, and I'm sure it is knowing Vince's ideas lately on stuff like this, then unless Bret is going to show up on TV at some point, and somehow beat up on them and "get revenge" then there's no point in potentially destroying the good will that's been engendered by this production.

If he's smart? Yeah, he ran for the hills

I really would hope TNA would have said no to even bringing Sting in without assurance that he would do what was best for the company. But then again, this is the same company that pushes Jeff Jarrett to the moon

I think Bubba is in some of the best shape of his career, Joey Styles even commented on that on One Night Stand, so I have to wonder if this isn't just some people trying to tear down the bigger star so they can try and get some more attention for himself.

As for his work, Brother Ray has ALWAYS been stiff, everywhere he has worked, he has been known as a stiff worker, it's true of Devon too in certain cases. Those two guys are very old school, they refused to even break kayfabe for much of their ECW career, they were the Dudleys everywhere they went, and in every interview they did.

Consider the source on this one kids, if this one came of the Torch site, the Torch has a LONG history within the business of getting a hold of guys when they're in the worst possible mood or mental state, and getting them to bury themselves, and everyone in the company they work for, or had worked for. So before anybody decides to rank Brother Ray up there with Triple H or someone in their "book of bastard wrestlers" just consider the Torch dosen't always have the best reputation for pure honesty and journalistic integrity.

It is possible. It is almost granteed that Cena will carry the belt to WM22. It will be werid for me if WWE allows two champions to carry their belts for 1 year. So the chance for Batista to lose his belt before WM22 is quite big. I am not sure if Vince still wants to stick with the Batista/Randy Orton match at WM22 or not after the classic RO/Undertaker match at Armageddon. I will not be surprised if it is Taker/RO match at WM22 where RO gets the belt from Taker and ends his undefeated streak at WM. But if WWE still wants Taker to be the champion before he retires, they'd better do it at RR.
