COTC's Raw Review!
The show starts with Eric Bischoff in the ring, pissed about having essentially lost the entire SS PPV. He demands every RAW Superstar enter the ring, but Mr. McMahon comes out instead, announcing that Tonight, Bischoff has to decide on a goal to achieve and to achieve it, or else Shane McMahon replaces him as RAW GM.
The first match was HBK vs Carlito. HBK took a few attempts to connect with Sweet Chin Music due to a bad leg that he suffered. HBK won.
Maria went to interview Bischoff to ask if he was going to get fired or not. Bischoff, not liking Maria, puts her in a match with Kurt Angle, with Daivari as the referee. Daivari even traded punches with the referee who was already in the ring. The match did not officially end, since Cena interrupted after Angle connected with an Angle Slam on Maria. Masters came to Angle's aid, and Bischoff came out to announce that the night's main event would be Masters, Angle, and Cena in a Championship Triple Threat No DQ or Count-Out Submission match.
Trevor Murdoch scored an upset win against Shelton Benjamin. Benjy's been getting screwed, lately. Could he be next in line for TNA?
Shane McMahon had a confrontation with Eric Bischoff in his office, throwing Bischoff against the wall in anger.
Angle and Daivari were talking backstage, bragging about how Daivari would call in favor of Angle in the Triple Threat. Masters confronted him, saying that if he screws Cena, he screws Masters, too. He convinced Mr. McMahon to not allow Daivari to call the match.
HHH came out to discuss his victory over Ric Flair at SS. After saying that no man would stand up to him, Big Show came out in Flair's defense and stared HHH down, HHH backing down and walking away.
Apparently Snitsky and Tyson Tomko are a tag team now. Good for them I say, since they appear to have broken from their original 'henchmen' roles. Unfortunately for them, they came short of winning the Tag Team Championship from Show and Kane.
The Triple Threat match was short, but good for the amount of time it took. I liked the competition between Masters and Angle. Angle and Cena took turns freeing one another from the Master Lock, since they would have lost the match for themselves otherwise. Cena managed to KO Angle out of the ring, and crack the chair against Master's knee TWICE. More surprising, though, was Cena actually knowing a submission hold which took advantage, and he obtained. After the match, Vince was shown backstage saying that next week, he would 'Take out the trash.'
Well, Cena might have kept the Championship, but at least he apparently knows a submission hold.
And that's COTC's RAW Review of the week!
