I have some questions to ask about matt & jeff hardy.
I have some answers, I think. Opinions mostly/
What's the difference between Jeff Hardy's release from WWE and Matt's release from WWE?
Well, Jeff's release was a situation where he was fired for showing up late too often, and having basically no desire to be there. It was something that was a long time in coming, and I think a lot of fans in the know felt the company was justified. Thus, he was not brought back.
Matt's release was sudden, stupid, and totally over Matt making a situation in his personal life public that WWE didn't want public. Matt had a ton of sympathy, and almost every fan on the net on his side. WWE looked at this situation from their own need to control all information about their talents, and not from the perspective of what a sympathetic babyface the situation had made Matt. They dropped the ball, and the internet outcry was so strong, it made them rethink their position, and bring him back.
Who has a larger internet fanbase? Matt or Jeff?
I think it's easily Matt at the moment, unless WWE completely erodes it, WWE has more fans then TNA, and Matt is still riding the wave of his comeback to a certain degree.
Which release did people give a bigger deal about? Jeff Hardy's release from WWE or Matt Hardy's release from WWE?
Matt's release had people in a total uproar, and got him brought back. People hemmed and hawwed about Jeff, but it was pretty obvious he'd brought it on himself with his lack of commitment. Easily Matt here.
What did Jeff Hardy say about Matt's release from WWE?
I believe Jeff's official comment was that it sucked (and it did) and that he hoped Matt would come to TNA and they could work together again.
And who has had a more sucsessful singles career? Matt or Jeff?
I think Matt has been slightly more successful, Jeff is another of TNA's "hardcore" guys, which means he's there to do sick spots, but is not getting a real push within the company, plus his attitude and lack of commitment have gotten him into hot water with TNA management so far. Matt has had a title run or two since he split with Jeff, been involved in several high profile feuds, and has a chance to really make an impact now that he's back on SD! once more. I'd say Matt has been more successful then Jeff, but both are being treated as mid-carders who will not crash through into the main events any time soon in their respective promotions.
