sorry for teh double post but after watching the main event of Velocity I found out a new match for No Mercy:

Juventud vs. Nunzio for the cruiserweight title.

Juventud won a bettle royal against Funaki, Scotty, the other two mexicools, paul london and brian (spanky). it was a pretty good match too.

I see Juventud taking the win to give the mexicools their first title in the WWE.

I have a question. avie I am sure can answer it. my little brother and I are watching TNA and when we saw the fallen angle we both said to each other "he looks fimilar" so was he ever in WWE or wcw by another name?

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2005-10-09 00:11:09

I'm going with Juventud as well. Nunzio and Vito have been completely unable to do anything to the Mexicools. But I'd rather have Rey as cruiserweight champ. He hasn't had a singles belt for a long time, has he?

LordKooler's TNA Impact review
1.3 Live Kru vs Team Canada
A good six man tag team match to start off Impact. 3LK won after Ron Killings gave a member of Team Canada the scissors kick. One of Booker T's finishing moves. Who did Ron killings give the scissors kick to? Was it A-1, Eric young, or Bobby roode? After the match, Team canada attacked 3LK then Kip James came out to confront 3LK. Ever since he debuted on TNA in Febuary, The man formally known as Billy Gunn has always wanted to make BG James leave the 3 Live Kru and join Planet Jarrett to reunite the New Age Outlaws. Even though WWE owns the rights to the name Billy Gunn, He still uses that name when he wrestles in Indy promotions when he's not wrestling as Kip James in TNA.
2.Christopher Daniels vs Austin Aries vs Matt Bentley
An exiting X-Division match. During the match, Petey williams & Chris sabin were fighting outside the ring until Matt Bentley knocked them out with a flying attack from the rope. Matt Bentley is Shawn Michaels' cousin, What makes Matt Bentley Shawn Michaels' cousin? Did Shawn Michaels' father have a sister who married a man with the last name Bentley? Or did Shawn Michaels' mother have a brother with the last name Bentley or a sister who married a man with the last name Bentley? Christopher Daniels won at the end.
3.Abyss vs Sonny Siaki
Weeks before his Monster's ball match against Rhino, Sabu, and Jeff Hardy at Bound for glory, Abyss defeats Sonny Siaki after Abyss did his Black Hole finisher.
4.Tito Ortiz segment
Mike Tenay and Larry Zbyzsko are in the ring the reveal the guest referee for the Jeff Jarrett vs Kevin Nash match for the NWA World Heavyweight title at Bound for glory. The referee will be UFC legend Tito Ortiz. Tito Ortiz says that no one should disrespect him at Bound for glory. Then Jeff Jarrett comes out and talks bad about Tito ortiz. Then Kevin Nash comes out and attacks Jarrett and then Tito ortiz attacks both Jarrett and Nash.
5.Team 3D vs America's Most Wanted
Team 3D, Who are one of wrestling's best tag teams by winning the ECW, WCW, and WWE tag team titles as the Dudley Boyz, Make their TNA debut against America's Most Wanted, Who are the greatest tag team in the history of TNA by winning the NWA World tag team titles 5 times. Team 3D won by DQ after former WWE diva Gail Kim gave Brother Ray a low blow, Brother Devon was about to attack Gail Kim until Jeff Jarrett came out and then Jarrett and AMW attacked Team 3D. Then Jarrett, AMW, and Gail kim celebrate in the ring. Gail Kim became AMW's manager, And we might see a rematch at Bound for glory.

I don't believe so...I know Daniels was like AJ Styles, a huge name on the indys (a king of the indys if you will) before coming to TNA, he may or may not have worked a dark match or television squash for one of the big two, but I do not believe he was ever signed to a contract, or used in a prominent way, or I would probably remember him.

Wanted to quickly mention that WWE has actually gotten back some PPV numbers for the summer, and they are actually higher then previously reported (cept for the Great American Bash)

ECW One Night Stand in fact did 325,000 buys, that is up well over the 280,000 first reported, and exceeds internal estimates of 300,000 buys. Thank you to each and every one of you who bought that show, and helped give a company that meant so much to me, a proper send off, and now, an annual event for me to look forward to on the calender.

Unforgiven currently holds the record for lowest buyrate this year, however internally the company expects No Mercy to attain the record, as some fear it will do under 200,000 buys. That's just pathetic if it does.

the reason why WWE PPV sales are down is because they suck ass. they have no talent. it is the same BS over and over and people are tried of spending 35 and up for half assed wrestling. now that TNA hit tv those sales will go down more and TNA PPV will go up. I mean people can only take so much before they get sick and tried of the same cena vs heel fued for the 100th time

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2005-10-09 17:40:19

They have a lot of talent actually, they just don't use it properly, nor do they book interesting matches. The thing that will kill No Mercy is that it's simply not been promoted well at all, so much emphasis has been placed on the move of RAW to USA (and rightly so) not to mention all of SD!'s pre-emptions in major markets is going to combine to drive in a very low buyrate I'd say. It's a combination of a line-up that dosen't scream "must see" and problems promoting the show that were not entirely WWE's fault.

Guys, I can't find the No Mercy Bell by Bell. My mom doesn't like to pay for PPV wrestling shows (she thinks wrestling is silly) so seeing the Bell by Bell messages is as close as I get to actually watching it.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2005-10-09 22:34:46

I am watching No Mercy on TV. It has been quite good so far. ;)

If Smackdown is smart, they'll take Hardy in.

OK, No Mercy results.

LOD and Christy Hemme defeated MNM.

To nobody's great surprise, Bobby Lashley defeated Simon Dean.

And still to nobody's great surprise, Ken Kennedy defeated Hardcore Holly. Who's gonna end this guy's winning streak? That'll be an exciting moment when it happens.

JBL, much to the dismay of every good fan, defeated Rey Mysterio, getting away with all of his anti-Mexican talk. JBL needs another good ass whoopin' to straighten himself out.

Much to my surprise, the Ortons actually defeated the Undertaker in his very own Casket Match. But when they opened the casket, the Undertaker was not found inside. TO BE CONTINUED...

Juventud defeated Nunzio, and is now the new Cruiserweight Champion of the Universe! Too bad the Cruiserweight division has been damned to Velocity, eh?

Batista successfully defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Eddie Guerrero. To compensate for the victory, Batista hosted a birthday celebration for Eddie. Much to my surprise, RAW did not show up for No Mercy.

Or at least the "Inside No Mercy" whatevery thingy didn't say they did.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2005-10-09 23:43:15

And, as usual, the event I forgot to mention in my above post:

Chris Benoit, much to nobody's surprise, kept the US Championship from falling into the hands of Booker T, Orlando Jordan, or Christian.

Actually, thank you. I was one of those 325,000 people who bought that PPV. It was well worth the $34.95 I paid for it. Too bad that they arent coming back. Or are they? But it is a good thing WCW isnt coming back. They started sucking in their last years. The rivalries just werent all that interesting. Plus, they never got any "new" wrestlers. They just bought them from franchises like WWE.

Now about WWE PPV's. Well, the joint PPV's with both SD! and RAW are actually good. Now those solo ones, eh...those kinda suck. Not worth the money. It is still $34.95 (because I got Dish). All but WrestleMania. That was worth about 70 some dollars. Until then, I hope ECW comes back in the near future.

I was just thinking, what if they brought back the Light Heavyweight title for Raw, and the WWE Hardcore title for Raw, while giving Smackdown the WCW hardcore title and TV title. I was thinking of how it would make things somewhat more interesting around the WWE, since they have good talent available, but not using them in ways innovation and creativity.

Title double up is redundant. The Women's division is pretty well dead, so I think they can just retire that title again and put the Hardcore belt in it's place. They need to get all the Cruiser's onto SD! and actually work the division, and stick more of the guys who are actually comfortable and able to produce good Hardcore matches onto RAW with that division. There is no reason these "niche" divisions can't have better exposure then they currently do, I agree. Hopefully Juvy winning the Cruiser title will mean that it will be featured on SD! more, and this will be the impetus for the two remaining Mexicools (who have been working as a tandem) to chase the tag titles.

there wouldn't be any use for the light-heavyweight title on raw. Nor would having two of the same kind of specialty belt like having a hardcore title on each show. then it wouldn't be unique. Take what they have currently, each have a top belt, a middle belt and then a special type of belt. In this case it's the womens title and cruiserwight title. Basicly WWE has things kinda even. Plus look at things right now too, they seem to have no idea how to run the cruiserwight division, so it's been on velocity, and the major lack of women wrestlers has made that title a pretty much nothing belt. If they have a hard time putting in these belts plus the struggling tag belts, there would be no way they could fit another one in.

The only way I can see some other title come into play is if they got rid of the womens title. Course then they would probably bring back the belt that was gotten rid of and brought back the most, just to piss us off. The European title.

Good point. But even so, seeing those old title back does bring back some good nostalga, although that's the problem with the current WWE as it is, it's trying to bring back some of the things from the past, but it's just not working e.g. Hulk Hogan. But yeah, the Women's Division has went downhill, it would be nice to see the that hardcore title back. Something has to give.

Honestly I think when WWE gave the title, which was in a glass case, to Mick, I think they were saying that they were done with it. I would love to have that belt come back, but it's less likely. Vince had wanted less injury, which is why he banned a bunch of top rope moves, and would explain the lack of hardcore matches.

The wwe is just really watered down. see this is why I complain so much. so many years ago they had something that made it so intresting that you couldn't wait for the next one to start. but now they watered it down to the point where they will just call each other names till one guy gives up. I mean really think about it, vince banned alot cause his guys are pussies. TNA let's them do what they please and that is why they are getting more attention. Vince can't do that cause he wants it to be family friendly and he doesn't want kids to imitate some guy doing a 450 off the top rope. The wwe has the talent, they have the guys, and yes they have the writters to come up with such good storylines to make people com back and relive the old days. but they refuse becuase to them this watered down crap is the new wave, which is killing them and making them lose money.

here is a thought that I have been throwing in my mind alot. I want Avie to comment on this cause I think this would be the intresting twist that would make WWE somewhat good again. At taboo Tuesday, cena will fight someone and get teh shit beat out of him but he will win, after he wins the match edeg will use his title shot to call in a ref after the match, beat cen and walk away the champ. I am telling you if that happened it would be so kool and new that it would draw attention

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2005-10-10 20:54:21

Know what I really think we should do? Vote for the opposite of who the WWE really wants in there. If they were to say.. pick the contender for the IC title like they did last year, pick someone who will never get there, just to screw with the numbers. do this for each catagory. messing with data is fun
