Thats the answer I was looking for.

Now for SD I almost forgot it was on thank goodness for tvguide.
Hey I thought the FU wasnt that bad on Jbl.

Angle pwn Nunizo. That move nunizo did (the one rey always does) and angle counter was nice. I just he lose to undertaker not rey or rene because you known he is not going to WM has the wwe #1 Contender.

I guess the 619 is getting sold less and less remeber they flew back halfway across the ring. and the west coast pop now it just sucks.

Iron shiek and Nichol Volkoff the unamericanz (sd hctp) Is cowboy Orton Randys grandpa I think. Never heard of mr. wonderful looks like kevin sorbo. (hercules guy.)

Oh noesss what are reigns and jindrak doing out here its not hard to think about the logic cole. Nice scoop slam by Dupree. A doble countout so that might mean the winner of rey or kurt is in the finals. So it kurt vs. whoever at NwO and hbk will attack angle making him lose.

So whats going to happen next week Cena wins and angle will definately win too. 2 weeks cena will beat bookert then at nwo like I said will happen.

The highlight of the night was the HHH/Bravehart commercial. That had me in laughing for a long time.

WWE has rumored that they plan on having Cena and JBL go at it at WM. So this brings up the question of who or when he will lose the u.s. title to. Who do you think should be the next champ?

Thats what I predicted in my last post I think, I just going to guess and say eddie he be titleless for to long. but then agian hes not in midcard so maybe kenzo will get a break, lmao, seriously I dont know.

Why cant he keep both titles??

yeah... and mic skills to an extent... for instance, Jericho's one of my favorites because he's an excellent in ring wrestler, and is awesome on the mic. i don't care if he's heel or face. sometimes he's better as a heel though. it just depends. i loved it when he made fun of everyone all the time. he called Chris Benoit Chris Ben-oyt. and of course, when he always called Steph a "dirty nasty bottom feeding trashbag hoe" etc.

They should have stopped it right after Flair came out and told him he was the greatest, and wooed in the donkeys face. I really thought it was going too long when they got to the whole "how far is this road to Wrestlemania?" thing. I also wonder if perhaps they chose that commercial, and Triple H to portray and say the things he said to perhaps let Triple H get some digs in on his internet critics.

Thats what I predicted in my last post I think, I just going to guess and say eddie he be titleless for to long. but then agian hes not in midcard so maybe kenzo will get a break, lmao, seriously I dont know.

Hard to know, I don't think he'll honestly lose it though, or if he does, it'll be a big screw job. Since it would be absolutely stupid to have him drop the belt clean with a shot at Mania. You could argue that will give him his first feud since the guy who beats him could say "hey, I beat John Cena before he was champ, so now I should get a shot" but it would just create too much turmoil I feel. Cena as champ is risky business, he's by far the most popular guy on SD! but that dosen't neccessarily mean he can carry this, I hope he can though, and that WWE is smart enough to program him with some veterans who can help him grow into the role along the way.

Why cant he keep both titles??

Well, the storyline rule is that you are not allowed to hold two singles titles at once (although that was relaxed in the past for the interchangeable European and Intercontinental titles)

For real purposes, it's insane to allow the standard bearer to hold the mid-card title. The U.S. and IC belts exist as ways to test a guy you want to push to the next level, or as rewards for a guy who isn't going to make it to that plateau. I kind of feel like they'll probably put it on Eddie again. It'd be good if they swapped Benoit to Smackdown!, and I think there's a good possibility for that based on the Rumble, and they could feud for the belt.

Maybe they'll pull what they did on raw and merge the titles for a period, then have some tournament or battke royal bringing it back at WM or some other time. Or he could just lose the title.
Will taker ever get another title shot, or wil he be doing interpromotional at WM? Is it WM that he has an unbeaten streak in?

If Taker were to ever lose it, it would need to be against someone the company is really REALLY going to do something with. Snitsky and Heidenreich are just cannon fodder for Kane and Taker I think, so no, he shouldn't lose this year

He is mine too. His matches always seem to be more interesting than the others. He also has more interesting clauses in the matches. Like buried alive, casket, inferno, biker chain, etc..
Do you guys thhink there will ever be another inferno match, or one in the near future?

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2005-02-06 12:02:32

probably not. I think it might be too dangerous, either that or just too predictable. "Guy with more clothes on loses" seems to fit for each one there has been.

Or you just like predictability. Outlaw is right, it's ridicolous how they make one guy come out with more clothes then the other, it just screams "I'm going to lose this match!!!"

At least in an ECW barbed wire match, you weren't assured that the guy who dressed like he didn't want to be all cut up, was going to be the winner.

Foley really did nearly kill himself from his time in the ring, you look at towards the end of Foley's career, and a lot of his matches were bad. The only reason the last few were good is because he wasn't on the road full time, and he had weeks, or months, to get his body prepared for one nights work. I'm not trying to disrespect Mic, or the things he accomplished, as I'm a big big fan of his work, but I just want to point out why a full-time return would be a bad idea, and would actually tarnish the things he's done.

ECW was about more then just the hardcore though, and I cringe at some of their barbed wire bouts, I think it was the right thing to retire them after "Born to be Wired" since that one just absolutely crossed the bounds of wrestling, and could have very easily ended up as a very serious, potentially deadly situation for Sabu and Funk, they're lucky they made it out relatively unscathed.

Yeah. In his hey-day, he was untouchable in his hardcore matches. I only wish I had recorded them.

I know what you are saying, and I understand. But he was just so good of a wrestler that he....*sigh* I just wish he'd pop in from time to time. Maybe a match or two every so often. :'(

ECW was about more then just the hardcore though

Oh I know. If you ask me, it was some damn fine entertainment. It was all about the fans at times. Thats why I love RVD so much. He has so much dedication to the fans. Like a month or so back when Rey and him went up against the Bashams and they lost. Eventhough he got his knee torn up real bad, he was still there, ready to back up Rey.

and I cringe at some of their barbed wire bouts................... potentially deadly situation for Sabu and Funk, they're lucky they made it out relatively unscathed.

Would you mind re-telling that one. I'm afraid I missed that match.

On Foley having been beat up at the end of his career: He tells quite a bot of it in his books. Basicly he was willing to do whgatever but his body was just breaking down on him. All the wear and tear had caught up to him and it's a damn shame. He did look great the last time we saw him in the ring though, during his ic title match with randy.

I hope he doesnt feud with christian, Thats a peg down for randy.

RAW In Japan. Those people clapped in sync unlike americans. and cheered the chain wrestling part.

The submission match well I knew the wild pegaus kid would win. but the crossface is becoming the crossneck notice his hand isnt over the face anymore.

Yeeah tajiri got huge pop I wonder why err Regal and tajiri will lose it to LaResistance in 2-3 weeks.

What will Batista do hmm I dont know but if it is trips v. batista a H wins it would be teh suck.

Tomko orton match was a sent up for christian orton feud I guess but I hope not.

Edge use all 3 of the edge-moves Like always ref bump in a HHH. match.. Then at the end of the show batista stares at the belt while hhh cheers. Nice photo opp. for wmxxi promo.

So the bared cage match is only top of the cage. It should be escape only and the accessiable door on the side should not be there.

I'm not sure moving Orton is the best solution, they really fucked him up, they cut the legs out from under him, and now (un)creative seems to have no idea what to do with him. It's extremely sad, they spent a lot of time building him up, and Orton really worked to be a top player. Then one bad decision completely fucked him out of it. I'm not sure what they can do with him now. Going to SD! wouldn't make him instant main event, because Cena will be occupying the top babyface spot there. It's possible they'll keep Orton in a holding pattern for right now, then after Mania, he and Batista can have a nice feud for the strap.

I hope he doesnt feud with christian, Thats a peg down for randy.

Could be a step up for Christian though, he's one of the most talented guys they aren't really doing anything with.

RAW In Japan. Those people clapped in sync unlike americans. and cheered the chain wrestling part.

Yeah, Japan is much different from America. They view wrestling more as sport, and therefore are quiet during matches because they really want to study what happens in the ring, and what the guys are doing. They also deeply appreciate the athletes, that's why a lot of guys go to Japan when they have the oppurtunity. It really is a good place to be a wrestler.

The submission match well I knew the wild pegaus kid would win. but the crossface is becoming the crossneck notice his hand isnt over the face anymore.

Yeah, not sure why that is.

Yeeah tajiri got huge pop I wonder why err Regal and tajiri will lose it to LaResistance in 2-3 weeks.

I doubt that, I really don't think they're doing dick with the tag division right now, Regal and Tajiri will pick up where Regal and Eugene left off as being a feel good, comedic, act they can book on PPV when they need something like that to fill space.

What will Batista do hmm I dont know but if it is trips v. batista a H wins it would be teh suck.

H ain't winning, Heels almost never win at Mania, and if WWE is stupid enough to build Batista up, only to have him get smashed by H should, and probably will, cripple them. I think every fan is tired of H's reign, he's obviously not doing anything to draw people in, so someone like Batista, who the fans have chosen to get behind for the most part, being turned into the standard bearer could do a lot for the companies financial indicators. I'm not saying he's going to do Stone Cold or Rock business, or all the problems will be fixed, that just isn't going to happen at this point, but it WILL give fans the impression that the company is listening to them, and trying to give them what they want.

So the bared cage match is only top of the cage. It should be escape only and the accessiable door on the side should not be there.

Honestly? I think the shit is gonna be rubber tipped, and they'll probably want to avoid anybody really going near it so as to tip everyone off to the fact that it's rubber tipped. If they prove me wrong, I'll be the first one to apologize for the accusation, but Philadelphia has a law against real barbs, and ECW and PPV companies faught in the past when they would use the barbed wire gimmick.

The match was for the ECW World Heavyweight Championship, Funk had been champion coming out of ECW's first PPV Barely Legal. The match was a no-rope barbed wire match (for those unfamiliar with the term, this means that the ring ropes were removed, and strands of barbed wire had been strung up in it's place). The match was pretty brutal, Funk and Sabu aren't known for restraint, and Sabu insisted on not wearing a shirt. It cost him too as one of his biceps (I want to say his left) was sliced open by the razor sharp wire. Sabu rolled from the ring, and glued it shut, then continued on (later he'd need about a hundred stitches to close it properly). A table was involved, Funk cut strands of barbed wire loose, and wrapped Sabu to the table. Then he wrapped barbed wire around himself from the waist down. Funk then got a running start, and since there was no wire to impede him, jumped from the apron landing a leg drop onto Sabu and they went through the table. They became pretty entangled in the wire, managed to get back into the ring, and Sabu pinned Funk. They were now completely entangled and EMT's had to come out and cut them free of each other. After that, ECW decided not to do barbed wire matches any longer.

You can get a copy of this match on the ECW: Deep Impact DVD, or eBay maybe as "Born To be Wired" which was the original event.
