Well, you sure set us straight. We'll be sure to cease all activity in this club now that YOU'VE come along. Thanks for the concern and the swell pic of Uncle Jesse.

Got confirmation last night that the story about the possible ECW PPV is indeed true. We'll have to wait and see how they play this one.

Y'know, this would be the time that I would make a RAW Review. The only problem is that there was NOTHING to review. RAW this week was The Best of 2004 recap, so there was nothing that we didn't already watch. Sorry, but no review this week. You didn't miss anything, trust me. I WILL say this. Out of all the matches, they left out the Hardcore Match from Backlash, which kind of dissapointed me.

Other than that, I believe that all of the remaining matches for NYR will be announced at once next week, since there isn't a whole lot of time left before the PPV.

Goodbye, and stay off of crack!

I do agree with you, you can't duplicate the heart and soul of those guys, I went to three events, the last being the Massacre on 34th Street PPV. ECW guys busted their ass whether the event was televised or not. I would only hope that they give Paul Heyman control, and some ability to bring in some of the guys who made the promotion famous that have been working on indy's, even if this is the first and last show they ever do, I firmly believe the ECW workers deserve the chance to go out there one last time, and say goodbye. If you guys will let me, I'd like to share my favorite ECW memory with you, I was at the Massacre, best damn seats I ever had at any show, floor, by the ramp on the right side of the camera (as it shot the ramp). Anyway, main event that night was a three way dance between Jerry Lynn, Justin Credible, and Steve Corino for the ECW Heavyweight Title. For those not familiar with the way a REAL three way dance works, and are only familiar with the bastardized WWE version, the Triple Threat Match, a three way dance features three guys in the ring, and when a pinfall or submission occurs, the guy who was pinned or quit is eliminated, and then the match continues on until the next guy is eliminated. I was pretty jacked for this match since it would feature three of my favorite workers, and of course, I was a heavy Corino mark at the time, and still am, as I had emailed him earlier in the year praising his match at Hardcore Heaven with Yoshiro Tajiri (Yes, THAT Tajiri) and he wrote back with comments that I still have in a folder in my email box to this day (if anyone wants to read it, you have only to request). Again, I get off topic, anyway, match starts, damn good one. Jerry Lynn is the first man eliminated, and he's trudging up the ramp, and really, nobody was paying much attention to him, as Corino and Credible were absolutely busting it as they were involved in a hot feud at that point and I think Jerry was thrown in there as sort of an afterthought, well, I noticed no one was really noticing him, so I cupped my hands over my mouth, and screamed: "Hey Jerry! Hell of an effort man! Great match!" then flipped him his heavy metal sign, he turned and flashed it back at me, then he disappeared through the curtain. I came home, and watched the tape of the show and saw that after he had gone through the curtain, Jerry shot a vignette with Cyrus in which he turned heel (we had no way of knowing that at the arena as ECW had no Titantron or way of showing the fans in attendance any angles being shot in the back). I realized that I had been a part of Jerry Lynn's last babyface action, and that it was something only Jerry and I really seemed to know that he did. I'll carry that with me for the rest of my life.

and that is a true fans moment. Awsoem stpry dude, I wish I had been to an ECW event. And yeah I'd like to see that e-mail.

Since we're in the story telling mood I'll tell you guys about the first live event I ever went to. And how it almost drove me away from ever going again.

I'm not too sure on the year but I went to a WCW Nirto event the first time it came to the Office Depot Center a few yeasr back. This was around the time the monday night war was still going strong. Now I wasn't a big WCW fan but I had desparatly wanterd to see pro wrestling live so I was like, "what the hell, lets go" I went with my dad and a friend. It was the most boring show I had ever seen. The most entertaining match was with Disco Inferno. What made it worse was the people around us had gotten very drunk early on so they were being assholes the entire time and chanting Goldberg at the top of their lungs every two seconds. Said berg made a run-in at the very end of the show which sucked. I went home feeling very dissapointed. Thankfully a then WWF came to town not to long after that and restored what the WCW took away from the experience. I never did go to another WCW event.

Yeah, I can echo that about WCW, I remember going to a house show in 98, after they split the nWo, and while it was great to have a surprise appearance and match from Sting, I can honestly not remember much about the show itself, it was pretty bad. It's really no wonder WCW went out of business, they're product was good for maybe a year or two, and then once it got stale, Sleazy E had no idea how to make it better, except keep raiding the Turner ATM, and making idiot deals. Eric Bischoff is overrated in the wrestling business, I think Vince has been too to a degree, but at least he had one really good idea all his own (Rock and Wrestling) whereas Eric Bischoff stole everything he did from someone else (cruiserweights from ECW, and the idea for the nWo from the way Japan used to do those kinds of angles).

Yea, you had the red an black, the wolf pack headed by Kevin Nash, and you had the black and white, headed by Hulkamania. I wish I could've gone to a WCW match, but I've got something better, a Hulk Hogan T-shirt signed by him. And not just his signature, he made it out to me. Entitled :

To my loyal fan Jimmy, your cheers are what fuels me in my matches. Your hero, Hulk Hogan.

God I love that shirt. I've never worn it, nor will I in the future.

Batista needs a push in the worst way

As does akio

there will be a special cage type match sometime soon between two people. This isn't extraordanary, but the reason it is is because it is a barbed wire cage match. Watch for that.

It will be at the No Way Out PPV according to my sources, my speculation is that it'll probably involve JBL as a way to say "now he can't cheat his way out".

In other news, RVD has MAJOR heat on him from Vince himself because he absolutely refused to go on the tour of Iraq. WWE is heading into Tikrit, an actual war zone, and the talent was told the tour was voluntary. However, when Luther Reigns informed John Laurinitis the head of Talent Relations last week he would rather not go, he was told by Laurinitis that while the tour was voluntary, it was in Reigns's best interest to go as Vince would not be pleased if anyone who was asked to go did not, Reigns decided to go after that. RVD is adamant that he won't go, even if it costs him his push, he said this personally to Vince according to reports.

Can't blame RVD for not wanting to go into a war zone, and if Vince is honestly going to sit there and act like this is some sort of disrespect to the troops, I would like to take this moment to point out once more how offensive running angles involving 9/11, our President's attempts to make us hate French people for not supporting our war, and other angles I'm sure he'll come up with in the future.

I can side with RVD on this one to. I'm pretty sure he's againts the war anyway. And why not? War sucks, it's nothing to be celabrated. yes the troops need support because they are in a living hell but the key word there was volontary (Bad spelling) tour. You can't be like that to him if he didn't have to go. i would be scared to death to be over there right now.

hmmmmmm i wonder how kane will be when he returns.

he's can't become world champion because they're are already too many people going after the belt.

tag-team belts isn't gonna be with him for a while. whom likes him?! lol

he has a chance of getting the i.c. belt maybe.

i don't know really. i was just thinkin about it

if i was him i'd just go back to the mask and don't speak anymore.
because it seems like once he showed his face to the world, he started losing over stupid stuff, like dq.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2004-12-23 13:07:05

It's kind of a shame that Kane just can't seem to get the world title again. His new super evil character could do it, provided they stop with the stupid story lines they keep putting him in.

LordKooler's Smackdown Christmas in Iraq review
1.Booker T vs Rene dupree rating:***
A good match to start off Smackdown. I missed the beginning of the show and the beginning of the match because I didn't come home from the library until 7:16pm because I had to walk home in the cold winter weather. Booker T won at the end.
2.Santa claus segment rating:***
A good segment. Santa claus come out with the Smackdown divas and gives the troops and the divas presents. Then at the end, The divas unmask him, Revealing Mick foley!
3.Undertaker vs Heidenreich rating:**
I didn't really like this match. Heidenreich is nominated for the 2004 Wrestlecrap gooker award along with Chyna's sex tape, Shaniqua, The Kane/Lita pregnacy angle, Mordecai, Mark Jindrak's Reflection of prefection gimmick, The Booker T/Undertaker feud, JBL as the WWE champion, And the RAW diva search. Undertaker won by countout.
4.Hardcore holly vs Kenzo suzuki rating:***
A good match. Hardcore holly won at the end.
5.JBL segment rating:**
A boring segment. JBL comes to the ring in a biohazard suit and without Orlando jordan, Amy weber, and the Bashams. Then the big show comes out and attacks JBL. JBL's reign as WWE champion is nominated for the 2004 Wrestlecrap Gooker award.
6.Eddie guerrero & Rey mysterio vs Kurt angle & Luther reigns rating:***
A good tag team match to end Smackdown. Eddie & Rey won at the end.

Well, least they're getting some work here, Book is a solid hand, and even though he hasn't done anything spectacular for the brand and maybe never will, he's a strong worker to have on the shows. Dupree needs to be repackaged BADLY, he's gotten stale and they're doing nothing with him, time to repackage him into something new and see what happens.

2.Santa claus segment rating:***
A good segment. Santa claus come out with the Smackdown divas and gives the troops and the divas presents. Then at the end, The divas unmask him, Revealing Mick foley!

Nothing bad to say here, you knew they would have a segment like this, glad they decided to put someone in the suit who wasn't going to get beat up, as that's usually the tact they take with such an angle.

Undertaker won by countout.

ah god! Fuck me blind! Here I was hoping this would be the end of it...but now we're guaranteed another chapter in this sorry ass feud...please at LEAST tell me that Paul E wasn't out there having to lower himself trying to get this over. Hopefully Taker breaks a part of Heidenreich's body in their next match that puts him out of my misery forever.

4.Hardcore holly vs Kenzo suzuki rating:***
A good match. Hardcore holly won at the end.

I love how there are guys so much more talented then Holly (like most of the Cruiserweight division) with better attitudes and professionalism (just about anybody on the roster), who languish on Velocity or don't even get a TV pay check at all, yet this bastard gets time on Smackdown! on a tour I'm sure the guys are making at least a decent payday off of, and he's done nothing to earn it. Good call Vince...ya fucking putz!

JBL just continues to suck, I give him all the credit in the world for trying, but the only heat he ever gets from me is "I want to change the channel" heat, and that just isn't any good. I HATE Triple H, but I can at least stand to sit through his promos.

6.Eddie guerrero & Rey mysterio vs Kurt angle & Luther reigns rating:***
A good tag team match to end Smackdown. Eddie & Rey won at the end.

I really don't think Angle has much time left with all his neck problems, and the fact that he continues to be booked in tag matchs and squash's just seems to illustrate that, it's sad as hell in that it really could have been avoided. I give Angle huge amounts of credit for having gone out there, and never cheated the fans of a good show, and giving it his best, I just wish he'd been a little smarter about protecting his body.

Wrestlecrap is full of shit then (no pun intended), since the Kane/Lita pregnancy angle actually worked, imo (it had a fair amount of drama, I think, and provided a springboard for the Gene Snitsky character [which is coming off alot stronger than Kane's monster gimmick or Heidenreich's] and it helped build the Lita/Trish feud, making her title win aftre such bad luck seem more meaningful. Just because these type of angles don't usually work doesn't mean they can't.). Furthermore, despite what the naysayers still say, JBL's title reign HAS been a complete success. And finally, the Mordecai gimmick had unlimited potential, but they just didn't do anything with it. Plus, the Chyna sex tape has as much to do with wrestling as Rock's movie career or Lesnar's football, so it shouldn't even be there.
