oh fuck...i never realised the history behind that song...like i mean all instrumentals have a meaning behind em...i forget what The Call Of Ktulu was based on but i know it was somebodys favourite book who was somehow related with Metallica....

I once listened to the S&M version of Master of Puppets. I found it very interesting. I'll try and get S&M sometime, although there are quite a lot of Load/ReLoad songs on the album (which I have no opinion on those albums right since I havn't listened to them yet).

At 11/30/06 02:42 AM, HeavyMetalHarlow wrote: what say you peeps?

St. Anger sounded like it was made by a completely different band. The drums were awful, although I do laugh at them now. The guitars were odd, James' vocals didn't right and the lyrics for some of the songs on that album were retarded.

Load is a great album in my opinion, id see it fit to be a good road trip album or truck drivers album on long inter-state trips...but thats my opinion seeing as the songs have good steady riffs and drums etc.

I don't know what Pulling Teeth is about (Pulling teeth maybe???), but the only other instrumental is "To Live is to Die", a tribute to the life of Cliff.

H.P Lovecraft was Cliff's favourite writer, and his favourite book was "The Call Of Cthulu".

And it's so fucking great to see my club taking off like this.

I thought Load and Re-Load were not that great...but if I was stuck on a train trapped somewhere and that's all I had to listen to I wouldn't mind.

Now?

Hear the cry of War
Louder than before
With his sword in hand
to control the land
Crushing metal strikes
on this frightening night
Fall onto your knees
For the Phantom Lord

*Original name for Kill 'Em All*

"But the record company didn't like it"

It was supossed to be Cliff's response. I could imagine it now.....

"How can we possibly make any money of this with such profanity???"
"We've been advertising it for ages, all the fans know about it"
"Well too bad, you'll just have to think of a new album title"
"Let's fucking just kill 'em all"
"What are you doing with that... AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!"

I thought Load and Re-Load were not that great...but if I was stuck on a train trapped somewhere and that's all I had to listen to I wouldn't mind.

But if it were St. Anger, I'd kill myself.

I wouldn't. I'll just listen to it and laugh at the bad drumming and bass playing. XD St. Anger is good for one thing, which is humour. :P

I remember hearing something about a new album in 07.

But frankly, I don't give a shit, because in my mind, it has a rather large chance of sucking ass.
