So has anyone listened to any songs from United Abominations other than Sleepwalker and Gears of War? I managed to find about 5 different songs and I hate to say this.... But it doesn't sound like Megadeth's best work. I'm not saying its going to be a terrible album, just that fans of Megadeth shouldn't expect a masterpiece.

The only song that I've really liked so far (to the point its stuck in my head) is A Tout Le Monde (Set me Free). Which is a surprise because I didn't expect to like the tandem of Dave and Cristina from Lacuna Coil.

Never heard the original, so I wouldn't notice the difference anyways. And another song, Play For Blood, is good in terms of lyrics but musically it actually sounds a bit generic in my opinion... As the release date approaches I'm getting more and more nervous about this album.

Oh and Hi, I'm not gonna join because I'm not not an avid fan of Megadeth.They have some quite nice songs, and I agree that both Metallica and them rule ass. I like Metallica more because the sound sounds more full to me, Megadeth sometimes sounds really weak. Dave Mustaine is a waaaaaaay better guitarrist than Kirk Hammet or James Hetfield, too bad we was too much of a dick too stil be in the band. Dave had the right charisma and aggression for Metallica, but he was drinking too much and he was too busy beaing an arrogant asshole. That's why he's not there anymore. Althought, Kirk Hammet is the pussiest metalhead you'll find he still makes Metallica sound good. At least he wasns't as bitchy as Dave but then again Kirk never had the attitude for Metallica, and once you take out Dave and Cliff off Metallica, they kinda suck. Cliff was so awsome.I saw him playing with Dave.Man besides, either Dave or James would've quit sooner or later.

Megadeth is the only rmainder of how Metallica used to sound, but like them, they began to change their sound as time passed.Nw they're completly different bands, but they used to b rival bands, At least dave isn't pissed anymore because of his appearence in Some Kind Of Monster but still I feel sad for Mustaine, he just wanted to play and be famous with metallica.
I do think that hetfield is a way better singer than Mustaine, Ive heard mustaine a couple of times, and he's nothing compared to Hetfield. But the band is ok I guess, I don't hate none.

Dude I will GTFO but it Dave couldn't have made Ride The Lightning, because he was replaced before Kill 'Em All was even released, Ride The Lightning was their second CD, and I'm not saying no, but why would they release a demo song as the main title for their second CD when they didn't even release it on the first?I will read a few post nontheless

How sad is this. Dave Mustaine wrote 8, possibly 9 songs for Metallica. The Four Horsemen, Jump in the Fire, Phantom Lord, Metal Militia, Ride the Lightning, The Call of Ktulu, and, if you believe everything Dave says, he also wrote Leper Messiah. Metallica used his songs on their albums, changing lyrics and adding different sections where possible. DUMBASS.
