Having said that im beginning to enjoy Opeth. I've only heard two albums, Blackwater Park and Damnation and they're both really good.
Even though Damnation is purely clean vocals, listening to Opeth was probably the first time I started to enjoy Death Metal, except for a few death sequences in some Ayreon songs.

Damnation makes me feel warm.
Literally, I was on a train at like 7am a few weeks ago, so in winter, and it was freezing, and I thought 'Hmm what music can emphasise with my current mood of sadness and grief.... Opeth.... gar, but I'm in no mood for the excitingly arousing grunts of Mikael.... Damnation it is.'
AND THEN I FELT WARM!! :D

I'm with Nev here. PenisClown, quit being so damn closeminded.

I've heard Blackwater Park and Still Life (not got myself into it, but I'm sure listening to it a few more times I will like it).

I'm ok with death metal vocals, but not when it makes almost every song on an album sound the same. :( However, Opeth are good with the death metal vocals. :)

When I first got into Megadeth I was showing my dad Rust In Peace. I put Holy Wars on and I could immediately tell he didn't like it.
Then when the bit came up when Dave sings "Upon my podium, as the know it all scholar..." my dad thought it was death vocals, and he voiced how he wasn't into it.
I thought it was funny :P

Swing and a miss. I just said she likes 'lighter' music. She's already told me she listens to a wide range of metal, including heavy and cult shit. I know and respect that, and only said that she likes 'lighter' music, not "She only likes 'lighter music'. Learn to read, not to imply.
You're just a faggot
Nay, but I have nothing against homosexuals. Do you?
who's like 'OMG ITS HEAVY AND CULT AND THUS ITS AMAZING EVERYTHING ELSE ISN'T CULT AND NOT GOOD WHINE WHINE WHINE CRY CRY CRY'.
I like heavy and cult. I also listen to jazz and classical. Actually, though I have explained my love for Necrophagist and Celtic Frost, my favourite musician to date is Oscar Peterson, an incredible negro jazz pianist.
You're in some kind of cliché Metal Hell mentality and its pathetic.
I might of been, how dare you draw that conclusion from me saying someone likes more commercial metal.
You sir, have annoyed me.

Nah... though based upon homosexual couples that I have seen.. they're stupid... but thats just cause they were too tall to put an arm over the others shoulder... yet they did it anyway. I thought holding hands would of been more comfortable for the one who's arm had to be 6ft in the air.
I might of been, how dare you draw that conclusion from me saying someone likes more commercial metal.
I'm a member of the Metal Hell... you see it all the time in there. I'm not saying I'm better for it... but its still there... so to draw such a conclusion is very simple.
You sir, have annoyed me.
You'll get over it.

Well that was stupid, I'm not like that.
I'M STILL FUCKING LISTENING TO OSCAR PETERSON TRIO RIGHT FUCKING NOW.
What's your email, I need to send you this shit.
It will blow your mind.
Can i join, I first got into Megadeth about two years ago when my uncle gave me his record collection. My favorite album is Peace Sells. My favorite songs are Trust, Peace Sells, Wake up Dead, Symphony of Destruction, Hangar 18, Sweating Bullets, A Tout Le Monde, 99 Ways To die. The list goes on!

Ya, but I laffed when I saw the cutouts on Metallica's bodies, just because I was wondering why they were bodyless.

I bought The World Needs a Hero yesterday and it's not bad. Definitely better than Risk, but I'm not too sure if it is better than Cryptic Writings since that has She-Wolf. Anyway, I have all the Megadeth studio albums that have been released now. :D Now to wait for the release of United Abominations.

Ya know, I don't know if I could pick between Cryptic Writings and TWNAH, myself. I think it depends on what mood I'd be in, since I find they have very different feels.
Also, I'm getting nervous about this album. First they delay it, then they made Vic Rattlehead look like a douchebag, then I heard the Gears of War promo..
I am most definitely holding my breath.
Also, does anyone else think of horses when they think of Mustaine? And then, immediately followed by the image of a sports car? I'm probably alone on this.

I liked Gears of War. I think the fact it was inspired by the game is lame, but its still a decent song.
