Hey!
This club is for any of those who love Megadeth.
Whoever thinkgs Dave Mustaine is one of the (if not the) most influencial artists in Thrash and Speed Metal, this is the place for you!
Whoever prefers Megadeth over Metallica (within certain suitable parameters), this place is for you!
I for one love Megadeth, and got into them as I was exploring Metal, and I watched the VH1 Behind the music of Metallica. I saw their back story and found out about Megadeth.

The reason I like Megadeth? I like how the use their instruments. The guitarwork is highly melodic. This is a reason I prefer them to Metallica. Alot of Metallica's music I find bland, and too much drumming.
However I still love a few Metallica songs, so im not flaming!

My favourite Megadeth album is Rust In Peace. I love all the songs, if not for the music, then the lyrical themes.
Favourite songs include Holy Wars, Poison Was the Cure, Lucretia, Tornado of Souls, Rust In Peace...Polaris, Symphony of Destruction, Skin o' My Teeth, Peace Sells, Wake Up Dead, I Ain't Superstiscious, A Tout Le Monde, Train of Consequences, Almost Honest.

favourite guitarist is probably Marty Friedman. I like his solo work too.

I do :), Metallica were good while Cliff was about. But personally even my love for Cliff doesn't cancel out the fact Megadeth are merely a better band. Theres so much more going on at one time with Megadeth. The riffs are just insane.

I checked them out cause of Metallica too, and to be honest I hated them at first. 'This sounds really bland (recording wise) and his voice is awful'. However I've grown to love Dave's voice, to the point where I claim it is brilliant :).

They're touring the UK in April or March I believe, so excited :D.

I also need to get some more albums. I've got Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?, Rust In Peace, and Youthanasia.

I also agree at first I wasn't too sure about them, due to his voice. I'd seen "Megadeth" on people's T shirts, and I wasn't very keen on Metal at these times, and I thought "Megadeth must be another one of these horrid screaming devil bands." Haha, I was so naive.

Has anyone heard their "Unplugged: Live IN Buenos Aires" album?
It's basically a live show where they play a selection of their songs but acoustically. I thought it sounded interesting, and it is. It's great to hear some of their heavier songs in acoustic, and a softer side to them :P

If you get a chance you should definitely go see them. I was lucky enough to see them last year and let me tell you it was 2 hours of in your face thrash/speed metal. No gimmicks, just megadeth playing great music.

Best show (musically) I've ever been to, even better than The Rolling Stones.

The reason I like Megadeth is because of the great music they make and Dave's voice is weird, but it's given me a few laughs, especially on Sweating Bullets and Captive Honour.

That's half the problem for me.
There's only like 2 Metalheads in my year, and one of them isoign all the way up to Birmingham to see Iron Maiden. I wouldn't mind going to a show with him, but I don't know why he didn't think of London :/

Nothing said here for a few days. Anyway, according to one of my friends, Megadeth is a Metallica rip off and Dave Mustaine is an asshole. D: Too bad he hates Megadeth and he is a bit right about Dave. I do think Dave has been a dick in the past, but not anymore. Also, I've given Gears of War a proper listen to and I'm finding it very good. :)

Megadeth don't sound like Metallica, Metallica sound like Megadeth. Dave has writing credits on the first two albums and claims he wrote Leper Messiah. That means he wrote on the only good albums Metallica ever did. Coincidence??? No. Dave is just the riff master, he writes fucking awesome songs.

I think I've listened to it before. And it's from the demo, so I would like the No Life 'Til Leather demo, although it'll probably be almost impossible to get it now.
