I would very much like to be a forum mod. Even though I am oppinionated, I don't think I would let that cloud my judgement because I'm also pretty accepting of others' right to express their beliefs and I have a strong dislike for threads that exist to serve no other purpose than starting flamewars. I would use the ban feature only sparingly and would probably adopt the "three strikes" rule other than in really extreme cases.

Can't believe I missed out on this topic. Well, who knows, maybe I still got a shot!

If I were to become a mod, I'd be a review mod, as I am quite comfortable with the review guidelines, and have tons of experiance with it, after over 1,000 of them.

Everyone is probbaly chooseing forum mod, but I would want to be a review mod. It would be a great way to learn of flashes I've never seen and get rid of all the stupid reviews that people make. Thoughs really get me mad. A aduio mod would be sweet too. I've always liked the NG aduio portal even if its a little underapresheated.

Oh. and why would I make a good MOD? Well, I think that I would make a good MOD because I'm probably the most mature 13 year old on the site, I come here pretty much every single day, and I would defiantely stop spam.

As for review MODding. I have reviewed quite a bit myself, and I think that I would be a valuable asset to the review MOD team, because I recognize bad reviews.

Forum mod for me.

I love the BBS. The community here is so great. Everyone has the best humor, and with all the topics it NEVER gets old. I'm on it as soon as I get home (2:50pm) to 10pm. For the past 5 years I have always wanted to be a mod, sure maybe for the power to teach some noobs (that break the rules of course), but also some what for the respect as a mod and just the feeling of being able to say "I'm a FUCKING Newgrounds mod"!

Honestly, I'm banned at least once a month, but if I were a mod, that would change, I would be so careful in what I wrote not to lose my modship. Modship would mean too much to me. Everyday I would ask C.J (ziegeman) when I was younger to ask you about me being a mod. But of course I grew up and gave up as well.

i might make a good forum mod because im on the forums a lot and i hate it when people spam forums with pics or stupid shit no one cares about. i know ive been banned a lot so im good at spotting people who should get banned.i could mod anytime between 3:00 p.m. - 5:00p.m. or 9:30p.m. - 10:30p.m. (weekdays) 1:30a.m.(weekends)

i also listen to the audio portal a lot but never actually post reveiws. i know a shitty song when i hear one so i might be good for that to.

I do think that I would make a good Review or Icon Mod.

I have been spending a lot of time lately going to old submissions and finding the abusive reviews. I spend about half an hour compiling a list of links to help everyone else out in getting a whistle upgrade. If I was a mod, I would be very dedicated.

I spend most of my time here on NG. I get on around 3 pm, and am on for about 2 hours then go off and see if anything else is happening, then I have dinner and am back here. So basically, my most active time is anywhere from 3 to 10 weekdays. I try to do something with my friends outside, so I am usually not here as often on the weekends, but I am on later. I will love to spend more time here and will if I get one of these positions.

As for the Icon part, I just think that it would be a simple job.

I'm half tempted to bet everything I own that the Admins are actually interested in checking out whoever won't post in this thread, whilst scouting for mod-material :D

Anyhow, first things first:

I'm usually active from 5 to 7 PM circa (which over in the USA is from about 8 to 10 AM), and I usually pop in at other hours...usually not for too long, though.

If, hypothetically, I were to become mod-material at some point, I'd probably rather monitor the NG forum than the other sections of the site...mainly because mods can interact with normal chums a lot more in the forum. It's just a lot more interesting than modding the other sections, basically.

I hope this thread ends up actually producing some decent mods.

I have been around since 2002.
I know my way around.
I am usually on weekdays 3PM NG time to whenever.
Weekends are periodically when I am not doing something.
I have been wanting to be a BBS mod for a while.
My second choice would be review mod, deleting bad reviews sound fun.
Third would be icon mod, but I am not that interested in it.
Fourth would be Audio, I hardly ever visit the audio portal so it wouldn't work out well.
Helping the site could be fun (Except my 25 stickers and Shirt)
I even periodically appear on PalTalk.

I am easily contacted for BBS problems.

wade. i would like to be a forum mod. i have read and re read the rules over and over again,i understand and respect each and every rule on the books, i see a lot of spam topics that slip by the current mods,yes..maybe there are other people better for mod ship then i...i really think i deserve a chance, i am certain i would make a great mod.

You know, now that I think of it I basically don't do much besides joke around and give my right (or possibly wrong) opinion on matters. It really isn't much of a hastle for me, seeing as how I am barely requested any homework. This might bring up a minor issue though, I probably wouldn't be able to go to Mod meetups, but, putting into the matter that this is an internet modship, that won't be too much of a hassle right? I am nice, and generally don't demand much, but if the time comes for a little fun, why not have it?

I would probably want to monitor the general or the flash, because those are the two I'm most active in.

Well, usually like you said I keep hush-hush about it because you guys frown on people who would like to be a mod and it is usually against the rules. But I'll put my info out in spite of that because you have given us permission.

So,

I would like to be a forum mod. Why you ask a forum mod? Because I would not be fit for any other modship. I am and have been on the forums frequently since 2004 and have helped many people find their way on the forums. I'm extrmely active. I have over 10,000 posts which doesn't really mean anything because it's quality not quanity. Alot of users and regulars know of me. I try to help out and visit the forums as much as I can. For example, I held a contest that ultimately brought us the new Banners Page I am also very familiar with the staff, and easy to contact. I live In Sellersville (close to where NG started) So if personal mod meetings were required I would be of easy access. I have a AIM Screen name, MSN, Yahoo and an e-mail so I will be able to be contacted by any means that you wish. And of course PM. So, I'll try to sum it up for you in a neater, simplier way.

1.) I'm a regular and know the people on the forums very well
2.) I help out as much as I can and do my best to avoid trouble
3.) I am close by if needed personally. Doubt I would be but still.
4.) My hours on a normal bases would be 3:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. On weekdays. And 11:30 pm - Whenever AM on Weekends.
5.) I'm familiar with the mod team and get along with them, for the most part.
6,) I'm trying to be active in more then just general ex. Politics, C&C and WI/HT
7.) I wouldn't let you down. And would help out in anyway.
8.) I would be young fresh mod showing the youth we still have here at NG representing the youngins which you know is the vast majority on the forums.

Well I hope this gives you the jist of my resume. I know it's not much compared to some other users who have been here years before me. And I know you're probably tired of seeing wanna-be mods. But, I'm just putting it out there.

I would love to be a forum mod. I mean, pissing away hours of my life on this forum is one of the greatest joys in my life. I would love to sit at my chair and ban people, sending them HILARIOUS ban messages that I will laugh about in private. Oh, and you got to love the perks: You have an army of mindless drones sucking your dick every time you turn the corner!

After that, I would definitely love to be a review mod. That way, I can kill all the fun that people previously had in reading hilariously stupid reviews. I mean, they CLEARLY break rules. We can ignore the joy that the author actually derives from these reviews by enforcing rules meant to protect the author, right?

I guess lastly, I would like to be an Icon mod, simply because it's a funny title that sounds quite useless.

Realisticly I'd like to do a little something just to help the general smooth running of newgrounds, something small, tedious but neccesary, like review reveiwing?

Really, it's far easier and far more fun to abuse and have fun with the system rather then working for it. So yeah, don't give me any special status I'd just abuse it in a comic way haha.

Forum Mod

I use the bbs a lot. True I only joined in May this year, so my usership may seem like a passing phase but I'm addicted to the bbs and I won't just leave when I get bored. Of course that's not why I'd make a good mod though.

I'm a fair, decent user, I call when someone is being unreasonable, either if it's about me or about another user, I don't start agruments, I try to end them. Which in my view is what modding is about. A issue I think personally that needs to be sorted out a bit better.. is the user abuse. Meaning when two guys (or more) have a flaming battle over another 'PS3 vs wii' topic. I think the users who flame for petty reasons such as this need to be given a days ban as a warning, so that next time they will think before running their mouths off, thus making newgrounds a nice happy place ^_^ And me being one of them users who mostly likes to scan through every comment in a topic would stop the 'trouble makers'.

Like with work or college I don't bring my bad moods onto the internet, I don't hold grudges against people for their comments on previous posts.

I usually haunt the bbs between 6pm to 10 pm, (British time btw) but I don't follow this time pattern, it varies and depending on whether I'm at college or if it's the weekend I have used the bbs in the mornings for a few hours too on a somewhat regular basic.

Icon Mod

I can't of some many reasons as to 'why I would be good at this', I just have a keen eye for things, and like a kid I enjoy looking at pictures =| I would again just be fair, go over the options if there is an icon that looks as though it could be viewed as 'dangerous' even if it's not overly affending just weigh up who it could affend and why and go from there.

Why do I wanna be a mod? WHY? Cuz'I was a moderator at the KLKK for a while, posting comments and cussing out people that would poist some shitty comment that had nothing to do with anything. Like those those multiple account people who post omfg every second to gain attention. Would I be here 24/7? No. I'm a badmouthed 14 year old who cusses out adults for a good reason. I'm a level 1 who worships Santa and believes myself to be the ruler of all hamsters. Would I be an amusing moderator? Yes. I would compliment people who actually posted half-decent comments of course, but as soon as someone started spamming or bad-mouthing someone just to be "Funny" I'll cuss em'back. So, sure, why not? It's easy now since I've just gotten into reviewing and flagging more often. It would be easy to just delete abusive reviews than flag them for future or possibly never deletion.

I would love to be a forum moderator. I love the bbs, since it is the place that I mostly visit on Newgrounds. My working hours would be from 4:00 PM to about 1:00 AM. I have been posting in the bbs for a little over 4 months, so I know what kind of topics are good topics and which topics are just plain spam.

I would makje a great NG mod because I would make thius forum an already better posting place than it already is. I would try to help with banning any spammers that think that they can spam these NG forums. I would be very respectful to any users that need any help. I know that the job is not an easy one, and I am aware of that.

I'll give you some reasons to why I should be a forum moderator:

1.) I am familiar with the way moderating a forum well
2.) I get along with most users
3.) I can tell which topics are relevent topics and which topics
4.) I get along with most of the mods when i'm on the bbs.
5.) I respect anybody that has lower or higher authority than me.

Anyways, I would really appreciate it if I was given a chance to moderrate these great forums. I sent out my gratitude to Wade, The Moderating team(both past, present and future), and anybody that gets the position.

The reason I find myself to be a hounored moderator is because I've been seeing a few spam threads lately. I think I'd be a great forum moderator cuz I think it might be a big help to enforce the BBS rules of Newgrounds. You know, I used to think Newgrounds was against me, but now I realize now. Society was screwed up when we all came around, and I would like to help. I don't really care about power, and I'm not into it much anyway. I would be a proud supporter of the forum mods.
