Haven't too heard much about that yet butfrom what I've seen it doesn't seem like it's that great. If I hear anything else then I'll let you know.

For shits and giggles it's good to watch. But it's been butchered too. Bad voices as well. :(

Well i like Rave. It is a light hearted anime, with some nice fighting, plus he has a really cool sword that can change forms. I mean it is no Naruto or Slayers, but it isn't that bad.

It means that we can't download the episodes legally anymore and are stuck at episode #121 not having a clue as to what is going to happen until America catches up. Ok, it sucks immensely. ):<

It's 51 episodes and 1 movie. I can't wait til I'm able to see the movie. I don't even know if it's out in Japan yet... The series ends in a kinda wtf situation. Leaves you wanting a but more kinda. It's pretty cool though. If you feel you have to have an extremely happy ending then don't watch it. I'm not saying it's a bad ending... well nevermind just watch the damn thing.

Licensed Naruto Anime on Cartoon Network Toonami - Summer 2005
Licensed Naruto Anime on Cartoon Network Toonami - Summer 2005
Reported by: Tazmo on Wednesday, February 16th, 2005 at 12:16PM
Such a busy news day, make sure you read the previous couple of posts incase you missed anything, which you don't want to have. It has been announced that the newly licensed anime series, Naruto, will be airing on Toonami in late 2005. Third quarter 2005 refers to the period between July and September of this year. So it is coming a lot sooner then I personally thought.

Cartoon Network today announced several major acquisitions for their venerable Toonami action-animation block. Fan-favorite "Naruto" will join the block in the third quarter of 2005, while "One Piece" will move to Toonami in May. Toonami original IGPX will expand into a full series from Production IG. "The Batman" will see a Toonami airing beginning April 2, ShoPro acquisition "Zatch Bell" will start in March, and nosehair-fighting anime "Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo" is coming in the fourth quarter. The show will be aimed at young viwers and their parents. Which most likely means we will be seeing the same highly criticized translations that appear in the USA manga, I guess it will be just like American One Piece!

Well there is that little technicality. But I warn you of this. If for some reason they become suspicious of you and actually check your computer, you better be ready to shot a bullet straight through the hard drive. They don't check to see if you deleted it after 24 hours or not. They merely check to see if it was EVER on your comp. There is nothing you can do to hide it once you have it. You'll really have to destroy your modemn if you want to avoid fines and lawsuits. =/

What the fuck are you bringing up now? With Cartoon Network you'll be hearing voices that seem VERY childish. They will really make the characters look the age that they are known for. It's horrid. I already checked with Narutofan, ANBU, Detbayo, Animesuki, The Grand High Licensing List, and plenty of other places as well. There is a LOT of opposition to this, even though we can do absolutly NOTHING to stop it. I was really hoping they'd license the series AFTER it was over. >_<

Yes, it will be coming out a lot sooner than I had believed and hoped for as well. I don't want to see it get aired over the summer or it really is doomed. If they can delay it until fall of '05 then I won't be as angry. And of course, it's going to be aired on Toonami instead of Adult Swim. That's really bad. The maturity level of the anime will drop a drastic about because of that. It's a big annoyance for me.

That is the part that really makes me just want to either kill someone or cry. The American One Piece was a disgrace to anime. And it looks like they plan on having Naruto suffer the same hectic fate that One Piece experienced. Expect HEAVY restrictions. You'll be seeing very bad translations as well. They'll be cutting out any and all offensive words and the things that should be said at parts will be replaced with "viewer-friendly" phrases that'll just not fit and make you want to gag. Also, there will probably be very low amounts of blood involved in it all. PS: almost all of that other stuff they have lined up will just suck.

THIS IS THE WORTS THING IN THE WORLD I WISH THEY STILL MAKE SUB EPISODES I BEG U GOD

Stupid corperations. >_<

Yes, exactly. They need to make subbing episodes more. I mean, had anyone seen the movie "Hero"? It was an original Chinese film and very well done. It was released 2002 in China and 2004 in America. The Chinese director actually PAID them money to use subs instead of cheesy American dubs that don't feel right. Of course, this WON'T happen for an anime no matter how much we hope or protest, especially since Cartoon Network got it. There are a ton of little kids who tune in and many can't read quickly, thus to keep up the ratings you can expect to see the series with American dubs that make you want to gag. ):<

At 2/17/05 02:04 PM, AUb wrote: Well, if someone stands in front of my door who want's to control that, I'll just delete 'em!

HAHAHAHAHA. That's the kind of thinking that shows how little people really know about their computers. Deleting it will do nothing. You can do a FULL memory wipe for your ENTIRE computer which will take over a day if you are doing it correctly. But if they come over, you won't have time for that. All you can do it destroy it. That's IT. Look up some in one of my paragraphs to see what I mean.

At 2/17/05 06:21 PM, gaarashukaku wrote: *sighs* naruto licensed.. :'(...too bad they didnt even keep going with the torrents (dun hurt me cause i mentioned downloading),

Eh, I won't mention names or give links but SOME places will continue subbing for everyone regardless of the consequences involved. You can take the risk if you please.

at least that would give me some peace of mind than listen to the most probable horrible dubbing that will be naruto.. *cries* i need some alone time now..

Yeah, dubbing is horrid. But it's been done before and shall be done again. We can do NOTHING about this except sit, complain, be disappointed with the American version of the anime, and lastly, GET OVER IT. ;_;

HAZZAH. I've been watching Bleach since the first day that it came out. It is a very good series. But seriously, don't get your hopes up in seeing all of it before it gets licensed. Because that'll happen. But for now let's enjoy it.

Also, some other recent licenses that are horrible for me:
Naruto, School Rumble, The Melody of Oblivion... :'(

At least these were never licensed and have a low chance of it happening:
Hikaru no Go, Tsukihime, Hunter X Hunter.... =D

Cartoon Network is the WORST place that could have gotten it. At least if Funimation or 4Kids got it then it wouldn't become a pile of crap.

Any company that got ahold of them other than VIZ or AVD, or other said licencing companies that are actually good would suck.

They have horrible voice editing and low quality dubs, they overglorify anime until the point where you can't understand it.

I'm just going to wait untill they release the legal subs. There isn't a chance in hell that I'm going to watch some good quality anime turned to crap with bad voice overs.

Although the other two you mentioned are bad as well.

Urgh, indeed. Watch One Piece now that it is on eh FOXBOX. It's horrible, I can't watch 2 seconds of that without throwing up. The same thing for Shaman King. I just hope they don't get anymore anime featured in Shonen Jump, like Hakaru No Go. I'd hate to see that anime tuned to crap.

:Those are the bottom three of the licensing barrel. If any one of them gets hold of an anime expect the worse.

Urgh indeed. I cried the day Yu-Gi-Oh[yes, I like the show, but not the english one, good for laughs though]was taken by the cold butchering hands of 4Kids.

I wouldn't have minded as much if oh say ADV or Bandai got their hands on it. Because we'd still see some justice with them.

Indeed. In my oppinon, Bandai is the best in the buisness for bringing anime over here. O why o why couldn't have been them? :: sobs ::

What the fuck are you bringing up now? With Cartoon Network you'll be hearing voices that seem VERY childish. They will really make the characters look the age that they are known for. It's horrid.

Yes you are right. If you ever watched FMA, Alphonse is supposed to be fourteen, but he still has the same voice he did when he was 6. And Edward sounds too old. They never get the voices right ever.

There is a LOT of opposition to this, even though we can do absolutly NOTHING to stop it.

You can sign an online petition to stop it. But there is a snowballs chance in hell that the petition would stop them.

I was really hoping they'd license the series AFTER it was over. >_<

Yeah, but I don't that was going to happen. There is so much want for Naruto here, that I doubt even if ShoPro hadin't gotten their hands on it that another licencing company would have.

Yes, it will be coming out a lot sooner than I had believed and hoped for as well. I don't want to see it get aired over the summer or it really is doomed.

It was doomed the day it hit america. Any anime that comes to america un-licenced is doomed to be so some day. I just wish it didn't happen this way. :'(

If they can delay it until fall of '05 then I won't be as angry. And of course, it's going to be aired on Toonami instead of Adult Swim.

Yes, if it was to be aired on AS, it would be much better. Half of the action would still be in the show, instead of 2 second, dumbed down fight scenes.

That's really bad. The maturity level of the anime will drop a drastic about because of that. It's a big annoyance for me.

Well Toonami is for little kids, but it has gotten better with editing in these past few years. But it still sucks anyways.

That is the part that really makes me just want to either kill someone or cry.

Do both. It will make you feel much better.

The American One Piece was a disgrace to anime. And it looks like they plan on having Naruto suffer the same hectic fate that One Piece experienced.

Indeed. I'd rather watch the chinese english sub with the bad name translations than the american dubed version.

Expect HEAVY restrictions. You'll be seeing very bad translations as well. They'll be cutting out any and all offensive words and the things that should be said at parts will be replaced with "viewer-friendly" phrases that'll just not fit and make you want to gag.

Yes I'm 100% sure that will happen. And some how, some way I know there is going to be references to religion in it too. I've seen at times that happen in anime, in the hopes that people who don't watch anime who are religious, do watch it because it has their religion in it.

Also, there will probably be very low amounts of blood involved in it all. PS: almost all of that other stuff they have lined up will just suck.

Indeed. So we can all say bye-bye to Gaaras Sabaku Kyuu. God how I loved seeing his victems go *SQUISH*. :'(

It doesn't surprise me. That's what makes the series' fate so dire in this situation. Viewers like that will run the series until it's nothing more than a dragged out cash-cow and a pile of shit. It's horrendous. ):<

Well the companies don't care, alls they want is more money so they can buy that new car that they saw at the Porche dealership. Any fan who endorses anime that is brought over by ShoPro, Funimaiton, or 4Kids, or CN related in any way deserves to be drug into the street and beaten with a sturdy lead pipe.

Well, this is truelly a dark day for anime. Naruto licenced by CN. Concidering how long it took them to bring the DBZ eps up to the Cell saga, we won't know the outcome of the eps past 122 for YEARS! Screw a petition. I say we start a fucking boycot of CN!! All who oppose Naruto's death at their hands should cease watchin CN at all. animenfo.com It's where I get most of my information. There's also animenewsnetwork.com which I have found to be pretty helpful also. It also tells when most anime is licensed.

Oh and btw, I probably won't be around much til Tuesday. I'm REALLY busy with things. I might be here Sunday night though. I'm not sure. Talk to you guys soon!
