I though an otaku would take over. I have another question though. Is Furi Kuri or FLCL worth my money? I know I can see it for free on adult swim but I barely stay up that long and there are still other anime dvds I can buy but if I had the money would the Furi Kuri dvd's be worth it?

The most simple explanation is: A japanese cartoon.

Actually I goes deeper than that, onto the whole style thing, but lets stick with the simple one for now. There are anime that come from other countries like Korea or CHina, but most is Japanese.

Anime is sort for Animation which usually comes from japan. Everything is usually inked or cg rendered but there is a greater level of detail than a normal cartoon. It is a drawing style that has many varations from Vampire Hunter D to Azumanga Daioh. It also has its own catigories with mostly comedys,action,or romance or a mix of any of the three.

Seen a few episodes. I thought the only parts worth watching were the opening credits, and the bit where the main character is dressed like a girland he start poking his own boobs. I'd say more of a cross between Tenchi and Evangelion than a light-hearted Eva.

I remeber that episode: "We're testing the shock asorbatation? *SLAP*" I got the whole series all 4 dvds for about 90 bucks so I would say it was a good deal. The director of this series did direct Tenchi and in the last episodes theres a refence to a tenchi myo thing but I don't remember which.

I'm angry cause they wont print colors and its always black and white too. Also its weird they have manga in about 100 pages and they make you pay 10 dollars for it which does seem a lil expensive sometimes. But I like right to left mangas.
