If you mean Spirits Within, maybe it's just that I seen it at a young age but I've always sort of liked it. You can't hate it for being different in a series as inconsistent as Final Fantasy.

Recent and decent anime? Well, you shold try some of the following: Steins;gate, usagi drop, chihayafuru, mawaru penguindrum, yondemasu yo azazel san, level e, kuragehime, tiger and bunny, dantalian no shoka, danshi koukousei no nichijou, C, ano hana.

Carnival Phantom is what I'm currently watching. I wanted to also play Fate/HA before heading to it but still worth it. Watching Melty Blood's "Magic Circuit" appear at the bottom of the screen made my day. Of course, I don't only enjoy it cause of Melty Blood alone. I've seen and played Fate/Stay Night, Zero, and also played Tsukihime. Wish they would come out with an anime for it though. . .

I've been watching it recently but there is way too much clashing information for me to be okay with. Often 2 or 3 conversations happening at once, and I simply cant read that fast or process that much so quickly.

I've never been a fan of subtitles, it doesn't really feel like im watching an anime, it feels like im reading it.

Anyway, I would prefer if the dub was free BTW. Currently im in episode 3.

I know at least one of the fansubs explains some references and cultural things that would normally go over your head, but it's constant text all over the place.

I never knew it was on adult swim. Well, can you point me to the dub? Its not the cultural things that get to me BTW its the previously mentioned 2 or 3 simultaneous conversations, when its subbed all the subtitles interfere with each other and then I have trouble tracking who said what.

Especially in that comic segment in episode 2, soooo much stuff on screen, it was also hard to see given the white background and white subtitles T_T

um...I dunno. sorry. I just checked Hulu and they only have it subbed. Although, that sub is probably better than whatever you're watching, especially if you're streaming. You don't happen to have Netflix, do you? If so, I'm sure they still have it on DVD.

No, I get you. I was just saying that it may be kind of a plus in a way. It helps you understand. But it's all over the place and doesn't work out too well.

That's exactly the part that came to mind when I made that comment. What a mess. The sub I saw didn't have white text, though.
