btw how necessary is it to have seen anything previous to do with Lupin III before watching this new series? It looks interesting but i've not seen anything else to do with it.

not at all, but the second series (red jacket series) is the best, in my opinion. There's lots of awesome movies, too.

Absolutely zilch, but it wouldn't hurt to see a bit of something else just so you know the characters. I've only watched The Castle Of Caligostro, the ghibli lupin movie, before this
Mirai Nikki is blowing my mind, brothas.
I can't believe I backlisted this shit fuck it's good.
fuck yuo idiote

You should see some episodes of the first and second series, at least. Some of the other movies are really good, too. Secret of Mamo is one of the best.

I forget the name of this anime where the main characters are like a group and they have special abilities, and whenever they use their abilities they have to do something. One guy has to read a book, and another guy has to break one of his own fingers or something. Halp guise.
Darker Than Black
Darker Than Black is sick.
I watched the new Trigun movie recently. It's awesome, and the animation is much better than it is in the series.
Just finished Fafner.
It's an amazing show, and the Hiraiface isn't as distracting as it was in Gundam Seed. Great cast of characters, writing, etc, make it an engaging anime.
Definitely go watch it, bros.
Anyone here who likes a good comedy, particularly a Nichijou (every day life) anime, you guys have to watch Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou. I'm fucking tellin' you, this shit is fucking grand 10/10. I'd say it's probably the best comedy anime I've ever seen.
Also this Sora no Otoshimono shit is getting interesting lol
fuck yuo idiote
Oh, and, uh.
If you had to pick one of these, which would it be?
Ano Natsu de Matteru
Higashi no Eden
Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi
Hyakko
Kyouran Kazoku Nikki
R-15

There were a few bits in that show where I just completely lost it. The bit where they're dubbing the middle school girls in particular

I really really cared for the scenes with the Literature Girl.

One with heart and story and characters worth a damn.
Gurren lagaan hands down. You can watch the entire series on YT. It's great because it's only 30 something episodes in length.

Heart? Uhhhmmm.
Clannad, oodles of heart.
Usagi Drop, also oodles of heart.
Angel Beats! has heart, I guess.
Nichijou has heart, but absolutely no story.
Mayo Chikki! also has heart, and a pretty good story.
Eve no Jikan, it's a chibbi movie PUMPED with heart.
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai kinda has heart I guess.
Same with Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai.
Also, Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! is pretty heartwarming.
So, I finally finished watching Nichijou, and god damn, talk about utter lack of conclusion, even for anime.
And tell me guys, which of the following should I start watching first?
-Ano Natsu de Matteru
-Dog Days
-Higashi no Eden
-Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi
-Hotarubi no Mori e
-Hyakko
-Hotarubi no Mori e
-Natsume Yuujinchou

chibbi? You mean chibi? No it's not?
Chibi means like, super deformed.
Chibi is like the faces in the image I'm posting, from the anime Aria, which incidentally, has loads of heart and characters worth a damn.

One of those three. I've had my eyes on them, but not actually watched any.
Which anime on my plan to watch list should I watch next? Ignore Soul Eater, my friend is going to lend me that on DVD at some point no matter which one I choose.

Texhnolyze is really good, though, despite having the absolute ultimate downer ending.

None of the episodes made any sense in succession, though.
Yeah it's pretty great.

yeah Lupin will do, then once I've watched that I'll start that Lupin prequel that's currently airing.

It's all about the red jacket series, baby.

I didn't realize until today that I have the Anime Channel on demand. It doesn't have much, though. I watched an episode of Hell Girl, which was interesting.

It's fucking great, one of the best manga/anime ever, I like how well it balances action, comedy, and drama and how imaginative the world and characters are.
i just finished Hischool DxD, which other anime of that style would you recomend?
Man, the general forum is getting massacred with anime thread bumps.
Also I found this remix entertaining, out of the horrible Jpop song that has ended up stuck in my head since yesterday.
Fukkireta *shutters*

I still haven't watched it, but it looks like it could be entertaining. I have a demo for a PS2 game based on it that seems decent.
Well, I think I'm going to start watching anime again, although I've not seen to much of it in the past. Saw a complete Tokko set going cheap on Amazon which sparked my interest again. Never actually bought it but it did make me want to start watching FMA: Brotherhood from where I left off which was like episode 10 or something.
It will probably take me a while to get through it all but I do plan to finish it before I move onto something else. After that it will probably be Cowboy Bebop, since I've heard a few people say it's pretty good.
Never stuck around in this thread for long the last time I started watching anime but who knows. This time might be different.

I wholeheartedly agree, as long as you steer clear of the 4Kids dub version. I watched that on Cartoon Network and it nearly ruined it for me.
Long time no see, Trivia.
And Dean, I can't believe you still haven't seen Cowboy Bebop.
