Finished Genius Party + Beyond. Overall, most of the shorts were worth watching and had great visuals.

My favorites are mostly based on face value: Gala, Toujin Kit, Happy Machine, Baby Blue and Wanwa the Doggy.

Also read Kyoumei Suru Echo.

It's short, but I liked it. The eponymous short was the best of the volume.

Thanks for recommending it.

I plan to watch Fantastic Planet tomorrow, and then Zeta Gundam.

And if you like interesting, trippy sci fi and unique art style, you should see the French movie, Fantastic Planet.

Re-quoting this, and definitely seconding it. It really was a unique and surreal film.

The closest comparison I can think of is the original Planet of the Apes but the visuals/imagery/audio are definitely superior in Fantastic Planet. They are also end on different notes: depressing cliffhanger for the former, happy ending for the latter.

I'd like to stress the fact that the score/music was the best part.

It's nice to see someone actually considering my recommendations. Y'all don't know how good my taste is. And I agree that the score is great. I have it on my computer, but haven't gotten around to adding it to my Zune.

Also check out this Quasimoto (Madlib under a different name) song and see if you recognize the samples, other than Melvin Van Peebles saying "come on, feet". Also, Madlib was tripping on shrooms the entire time he made that album.

Took a few listens, but that really is a great track. I actually have that full album (+Instrumentals), but haven't listened to it completely yet.

Have some Ugly Duckling.

I know it is. I'm just lame. I've never really been one to watch anime, but one of my friends is quite avid. He suggested it to me a few days ago.

Shakugan no Shana is another well know one with a new season. The 3rd season of Shakugan no Shana and Fate/Zero are both really really good, its just that its a shame that what happens in Fate/Zero is a foregone conclusion since its a prequel...

I still need to watch that. From what I've heard, it seems like an amazing film albeit lacking in story.

It's a shame that they know how to end it? I don't see how, and isn't that the case with everything that's adapted from a finished source?

Watching the TV series

Ehhhhh I hope you enjoy it.

Better read the manga next, and then watch Hellsing Ultimate.

never heard of this. I'll check out the rest later. I don't listen to a lot of rap, but I like a few tracks. I'm more into instrumental hip hop, trip hop, and the like. I still haven't gotten the non-instrumental version of the Unseen, which I intend to do, especially since the instrumental version of Come on Feet omits a lot of the things that make the song good, including the Fantastic Planet samples.
