i'm pretty hyped for redline also. the art direction looks so nice.
as far as I know the ironman adaption was supposed to be done in a similar fashion as well but madhouse didn't follow through.

Then why were you saying he was wrong when he said it was explained, it was in the manga and you went into some fat rant about the anime that wasn't even relevant.
Yeah, looking forward to redline too, no idea how hyped it's been over in japland but at least it comes with eng subs so should be pretty soon before i can get my dirty little pirate mitts on it.
is cowboy bebop any good i might start watching it, but need some opinions before i dedicate myself.

No it's complete and utter garbage don't waste your time you should watch K-ON! instead.
Steins;Gate 19
This series is definitely going in my top 10, this episode was just great.

It isn't amazing, but it is a good anime and DEFINITELY an anime classic that is at least worth watching for the fact it's such a commonly discussed show.
do you guys ever have anime music on your mp3s and listen to them?
i made an extra effort to make a playlist containing only anime tunes (mostly just catchy openings) and it's become my guilty pleasure while driving to and from work.

going to go snooping around for classical/jazz remixes now
cowboy bebop
No, it is amazing, it is one of the most accessible anime ever and is well worth anyone's time.

I've got a few floating around my HDD, "Anime that jazz" (and anime that jazz II), and Rasmus Faber presents Platina Jazz - Anime Standards Vols 1 and 2 as well.
But I don't have much in the way of anime OSTs or songs in my media library. I've got a little bit, but they're all predictable stuff. cowboy bebop, baccano, michiko e hatchin, panty + stocking. Think that's about it. And I've only got a couple of songs from each actually in my playlist rotations.

Think Quentin Tarantino in anime form. In other words, it's awesome.

Awesome, i'll give it a try.

At the moment am finishing off soul eater, and my favs are anime like bleach, eiken, desert punk, death note, etc. i've sadly not read much manga only bleach and ikki tousen. But i've found a great site for free on line manga.
Whats better subbed or dubbed anime?

I usually watch dubs unless the English voice acting is atrociously bad.
Redline was great. Most fun I've had watching an anime movie since disappearance and rebuild. If you haven't seen it, I really suggest you watch the best animated movie of 2011.

Only if bluray rips are out, Otherwise it's pointless watching something that was meant to be seen in high resolution.
Internet's been acting up, on shit connection.
Finished Gundam Seed, and I have to say I enjoyed it -- I'm glad I didn't have high expectations for it, however. I find it unfair that Kira's called a 'mary sue' (though I can understand Lacus being considered one), and I was disappointed at Le Creuset (like Ribbons) as they both just lose it and consider themselves gods (less so for Creuset, but still there. Shame considering all of his potential). Flay was an annoying cunt. Muu was the best by far, and he had a sad (but great) sendoff while defending the Archangel.
Loved the Gundam designs especially, though the METEOR attachments made Justice/Freedom look uglier (disliked Shania/Orga/Clotho's mechs and characters, too. The character designs are just bad [another guy with hair over eye, for example]. Overuse of stock footage is a big minus (hahaha, I don't mind Murrue's bouncing tits though), and it just declines really fast in the last episodes. The desert arc was probably the peak for me, all the way up to Orb's last stand. Their return to space, although needed to progress the plot, just ruins the show for me.
And now I'm onto Seed Destiny. The first episodes have left a bad impression on me and Shinn's a jerkass (it's nice that he's honest with his feelings I guess), especially to Cagalli. I hope it picks up later.
Zeta Gundam, on the other hand, is looking great from what I've already seen, and I can't wait to watch it when I'm finished with Destiny.
Also, it's one of the worst Gundam series but I'd say watch it at least once to make up your own mind about it. I'd rank the Strike and Buster as some of my favorite mobile suits, and the Impulse is also looking good in Destiny. Loved the packs/"silhouettes" they both have (Aile/Sword/Force/etc), too.
Change of plans with my watchlist on the previous page, I'm just gonna watch all the Gundam series I have before heading on (think I'll save Turn A for last).
Have any of you been watching a new show called Blue Exorcist?
I know if it because a lot of my anime friends in the real world have been watching it and raving about it as if it was the new trigun or something, and it also features loads of famous Japanese voice actors.
So yeah, have any of you seen this? And if so, would you recommend it?

Yes and as of now it is my favourite shounen ever.
No power levels or rubbish like that.

Of course, I mean.
There are totally power levels in every shounen ever. I mean, you would know that of course, given how experienced you are yourself.

You directly implied that shounens have power level 'rubbish'. Otherwise you would have mentioned something like DBZ to state that you meant that title specifically.
Speaking of shounen, I checked out OP Movie 10: Strong World. Reasonably impressive, and tighter written thanks to Oda himself working on the directing and writing, also the best looking OP has ever gotten. I was impressed with the production values.
Picked up and finished all of Honey & Clover to boot, which has been I think my second leap into the josei genre. Pretty solid, moving and a good watch overall, but some parts are too slow and my god fuck Takumi. What a dork.
Might work on Record of Lodoss or something, in the mood for another oldschool ova.

So what you are saying is that I didn't actually say that.
