hah. I have Cyber City on VHS. The second OVA is definitely the best. I would have preferred that they forgot about the effeminate vampire and kept the big dude as the main character in the last one.

Hell no, Benten was my favorite character. And he wasn't a vampire.

Watching GaoGaiGar at the moment. It's a great show all around, but definitely for SR/mecha fans only since it's a throwback.

Also, fuck TTGL, GGG made drills cool years before GL did.

After that, more One Piece, it's going to take forever to catch up...

finished Tekkaman Blade (90s version), some spoilers at the end of post.

The first series was really amazing + epic, but II was a disappointing sequel (it was still enjoyable, though). The latter may have had better animation/production, but it doesn't come close to the former. Perhaps I would've enjoyed it more had it not been just a six episodes, and Levin wasn't in it (one of my favorite characters from TB1, despite being a F-A-G).

Everything in the first was pretty much perfect (atmosphere, music, characters, plot, designs, etc), and while II did have some of those qualities they weren't as neatly done as the TB1.

TB1 had some sad moments near the end of the show (Evil/Shinya, Balzac, and Pegas's death) and a darker atmosphere than TBII which was more cheerful/optimistic.

Yeah, it's really good. I haven't finished it yet (on ep. 17 at the moment) because I've been watching TB.

TB is something I should force myself to get back into one of these days, it looked like a pretty good show from what I've seen of it.

As far as I can tell, it has nothing to do with the meme. episode 1. Not sure but it peeks my interest for some odd reason...too cute to resist? I dunno. If thats all I like about it though it won't be long before my subconscious gets bored and moves on......

So Mawaru Penguindrum is interesting to say the least. I have high hopes considering it's from the director of Revolutionary Girl Utena.

Now that Princess Tutu is on Netflix and I finally finished 24 i'm gonna finish up that series and then get back to watching Gundam again because I kinda just stopped at episode 5 for no real reason.

Yeah, to be expected since Utena was fantastic. I liked it, has potential at least. Also checked out Usagi Drop and found that one pleasant, only thing I didn't like was the sappy piano. The same kind of boring playing that you hear in almost every 'drama' these days.

No.6 was such a huge disappointment. Read the description thought it sounded great. Watched the first episode and its nothing but yandere pandering. Usagi Drop was pretty cute though and I look forward to watch more of that.

Uhh, no, there was no yandere there at all actually. If you were trying to save face you just look like a bigger idiot now.

I really, really hate these guys.

Just watch some of their videos, namely their 'top worst english dubs' video. They put Dragon Ball Z's Funimation dub on their, and well, they just have no idea what the hell they're talking about.

You won't regret it, bro. It really is a great show.

Started watching New Getter Robo after finishing the original manga. Ishikawa is a good artist, and New Getter is a great re-imagining of the manga/series. Lack of Dinosaur/Hyakki empire is easily compensated for, and some of the character designs (Michiru, in particular) have been improved.

Also, I think I've become gay for Ryoma.

Just finished it. Overall, a really good experience, despite it not having a 'deep'/quality story (it's not like I expected one either). That's more than made of for with awesomeness, and great OST.

FUCK YEAR RYOMA, HAYATO AND BENKEI -- Y'ALL ARE A BUNCH OF BADASSES. All of the Getters are sexy machines, too.

All I've seen you ever do is constantly post pictures of your anime girl crushes and make a whiny post if said character dies in the mentioned anime, all in the summary of a very poetic one word or one sentence post.

So don't bother coming back till you make a decent post or two, buddy boy.

I can think of exactly one post that your statement is true about and it was almost a year ago. Try harder.

So I watched Blood C expecting another cool adaptation of Saya and her vampire hunting adventures. For some reason they have turned her into a comic relief character, completely opposite of the dark and brooding character she's supposed to be.

Highly disappointing.

Just watched the pilot episodes of Usagi Drop and Sacred Seven, and I plan to watch R-15, NO. 6, and Kamisama no Memochou very soon. I'm looking forward to Dantalian no Shoka's release as well.

So, my opinions...

Usagi Drop: Holy fuck, Rin is DAWWWWWWWWWW-inspiring. Seriously, this show looks promising. One thing that caught my attention was the background art; it kind of reminded me of watercolor paintings. Anyways, I dig this.

SAYKACREEDO SEVENU: What the hell did I just watch? Granted, this is the pilot episode, but I have no idea what's going and what this "power" is. I can't say I'm impressed; I'll keep watching for now, though. Although, I will say that wish for a private army comprised of maids... :3

Also, finished the Madoka manga. Of course, pages in a book don't do the witch barriers and fighting scenes justice, but the manga should not be passed up. Yes, there are minor differences, such as in characters' demeanor and some other details and dialogue, but I approve of Hanokage-san's adaptation. I'd say it's a bit more mature incarnation of the series, especially considering the 'looser' language and the use of gore. All in all, I like.
