HSoD was far from average and not in a good way.

TB is okay, but it really is nothing special. I always felt it was basically Rurouni Kenshin in the future with guns. hahaha
Anyway guys, I was wondering on your opinions on this list.
It's a countdown of some chick's opinion on who the best anime villains are along with a short review of each and what makes them so great.
In case you guys are too lazy to watch, or your computer doesn't have audio, or something out there i'll just post the list for you guys:
20. Delphine Eraclea (Last Exile)
19. Phibrizzo (Slayers)
18. Vicious (Cowboy Bebop)
17. Choji Surtengo (Speed Grapher)
16. Gauron (Full Metal Panic)
15. Ario Ootori (Revolutionary Girl Utena?)
14. Narago (Fushigi Yuugi)
13. Darcia The Third (Wolf's Rain)
12. Dio Brando (Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure)
11. Gankutsuou (The Count Of Monte Cristo)
10. The Major (Hellsing Ultimate)
9. Frieza (Dragonball Z)
8. Shinobu Sensui (Yu Yu Hakasho)
7. Makoto Shishio (Rurouni Kenshin)
6. Griffith (Berserk)
5. Ladd Russo (Baccano)
4. Aizen Sousake (Bleach)
3. Light Yagami (Death Note)
2. Legato Bluesummers (Trigun)
1. Johan Liebert (Monster)
What do you guys think of the list? In before *insert animes here* all suck dick.

I didn't know all of the villains in that list but the ones I did recognize were good.
Aizen is a surprisingly good villain in an otherwise shallow cast of characters for Bleach.
Makoto in Kenshin was cool too, I always love the kind of villain that is as strong or stronger than the protagonist and the way they did Makoto was a great example of that.
I always thought Crococdile was a great villain for One Piece too for the same reasons as Makoto.
There are a couple others I like for similar reasons but since I didn't even recognize half that list I figure I should reserve judgement.
I'll need to watch Monster at some point for sure since I hear a lot of good things about it

Frieza above Vicious?
Completely invalid.

Frieza was a perfectly menacing and cruel antagonist. Vicious just pops up every now and then.
Plural of anime is not animes. Plural of anime is anime. It's like with Pokemon you don't say Pokemons. There is no s.
I actually didn't notice Ladd Russo the first time I looked over the list
Ladd is my absolute favorite villain in anime ever.
I haven't seen as much anime as some so that may be a little preemptive but he was awesome, especially in the English dub.

I'm going to have to disagree.
As a former Bleach fanboy, Aizen is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too fucking perfect.
While Aizen's plotting and whatnot in the soul society ark does make him probably worthy of being on the list, the fact that he knows and somehow predicts EVERYTHING in the future arks along with the fact that he shits on every character except ichigo himself makes him so boring and uninspired.
And they don't even explain Aizen's personality or past in the slightest... I.E. he doesn't have any known motive or trauma that inspires him.
Ugh, what a terrible show. I can't believe I wasted so much time watching/reading that series when I was younger.

As much as I hate DBZ, i'm going to have to agree.
Frieza and Shishio were two villains from shows I watched on Toonami as a kid that actually scared me. Hahaha
Also Somaguya, if you watch the video she explains why each villain got the spot they did. While I didn't agree with all of their placements, her logic for Vicious's place I agree with 100%: "He's just one really big stereotype, just pulled off really well."

Spoilers I guess if anyone even cares
I've always figured he was almost a force of nature in some senses. He is without motive, he is simply cruel, powerful, and deceptive. As far as predicting stuff goes he probably just went with the protocols of soul society because they're all about that kind of thing so it was easier for him to predict what was going to happen as far as he could control. Considering the power of his illusions it's not improbable that any misstep was easily moved around by just fooling everyone back onto his agenda.
Beyond that though I wouldn't really know.
He wasn't a very interesting character or anything but he is a good kind of villain. The all but insurmountable fiend who seems to always be one step ahead and has no motivation other than the fact that he is simply evil. Not every villain needs a motive to be great, kind of like The Joker.
That logic works with villains like Ladd Russo and The Major, not with characters who are so methodical and calculated that they understand everything going on with every character enough to be ahead of them. :P
If it's of any worth, I think Legato should've been number 1, Griffith number 2 and Johan at number 3. But that's just my opinion.
Brigadoon was a great little gem from back in the early 2000's. Some elements were implemented properly, and I didn't like the story during the second half. But it's a creative show, with a lot of genre's mixed in, giving something cool for everybody to watch.
Shame Sunrise dropped the ball with Code Geass, they were off to a nice start.
Figured you guys might want to know Doki just released the new Ghibli movie Karigurashi no Arrietty
it's been out for about a week now through most people. I watched grohotun's rip, not familiar with them but I have no complaints.
Ah I just follow Doki's RSS feed because there one of the bigger more reputable groups. Didn't realize other groups already did it.

Doki are a fucking joke you can't honestly be serious. I've posted comparisons before, they don't know what the fuck they're doing.

Doki tends to do a great job on movies imo. They have different translators for different things. I agree that they did a shit job on Ano Hana but they had a newer translator working on that. Also they are just using a edited official sub for this so they can't really mess it up much.
Alright I think it's high time I join this group. For the past year and a half I've been going on a huge anime watching binge on Netflix and even went to AnimeNEXT.
I don't really know how else to introduce myself but so far I'm currently watching:
Shin Chan
Trigun
Hetalia
Black Butler
and lots more
I'll try to be more active on here.
Btw sorry if there was a specific guideline needed to join. I'm not on here that often truth be told.
Steins; Gate 13 ;_;. Also The Borrower Arrietty turned out to be a great movie.

I know some people who went to that. I've never actually been to an anime convention, despite the fact that Anime Boston is held only about an hour away and that other anime conventions are always within a few hours drive.
Are they actually any fun? I get the impression that it's just a bunch of naruto or haruhi S. fans running around talking about how awesome they are.
Trigun
Amazing show, one of the best.
Hetalia
Black Butler
I've never even heard of either of these, are they any good?
I just watched C in the last few days, enjoyed it. A good, inoffensive look at recession and had some interesting moments. I think they hit a very good balance between the battles and the characters, I'm glad they had a few episodes in the middle without/barely any battles, it had some pretty good pacing.
Still, ending was a bit muddled though.

I know. I was just like, wat is this supposed to be. Is that God. Why are they shoehorning in sequel opportunity.
(fair C spoilers)
Also was a bit disappointed that nothing really came of his relationship with his father. In the earlier episodes I had surmised that he used to have a sister, who was erased after his dad became bankrupt, who then comitted suicide before the same happened to his son... Then mushyu could have been the personification or whatever of his missing sister but no nothing came of his dad's whole plight at all really.

I thought C was just a really boring shounen. I expected better from the guy who directed Kuuchuu Buranko.
also, just watched end of evangelion, what on earth. while i'm not entirely sure what actually happened in the second half apart from rei merging with lilith, initialising instrumentality on her own, and then letting shinji choose to reject it... but along the way they sought to prove that the last two eps weren't just crazy cos they were low on budget at the time of making the first series or something
still i enjoyed it, though i think a lot of it went over my head and the sound was mixed terribly, speaking way too low and assorted sound effects way too loud. Maybe thats how they wanted it to be, but it's awkward when the rest of the house is all asleep and I want to hear conversations then suddenly KABOOM

Assets are a personification of the futures that are in collateral not of the past. It would make more sense if Mashu where a future lover or something. Plus at the end they clearly establish some romance between Mashu and Yoga and I doubt they would want to get in to incest in a show like this. I too would have enjoyed seeing more depth in his fathers character though.
