Holy fuck Steins;Gate.
Someone spoiled it for me way back before the first episode but I was still hoping it wasn't true.

Yes but someone with your tastes wouldn't appreciate it.
What's there to appreciate? It's really not a very interesting show, not nearly as interesting as it should have been. The chemistry between Holo and Lawrence was so-so. But lawrence was such a hollow character.
Almost everything was lacking. Actually had to force myself to finish it.
Just watched The Borrower Arrietty, really enjoyed it. A pretty faithful reproduction, from what I remember, of the original book, and some great touches such as the surface tension of the water in their teeny tiny cups and things really made it stand out. The ending was a little ambiguous and I'm not sure if I like that, but the original book had a similarly vague ending iirc so yeah. Pacing was perhaps a little iffy, but still its another ghibli film. Great production values, great plot, great movie.
Hello everyone. I'm kinda tired so I'll cut to the chase.
I haven't watched anime since I grew out of Naruto. I've always wanted to get back to watching anime, but everyone I ever asked irl said something like Death Note. I figure you guys know your shit, so where better to ask? I would like to know if there are any anime that have a good, yet accessible plot, are easily able to find online, are relatively new, and have little to no pornographic content. I am also wondering if there are any anime that don't use the seemingly generic art style used by most other anime. You probably know what I'm talking about.
All and any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Cowboy Bebop.
Yeah, cowboy bebop's a good suggestion too, it was my first anime too. My second anime was planetes, which I really enjoyed. It's a "hard sci-fi" (ie: relatively realistic sci-fi setting) about a crew of a spaceship that flies around the earth cleaning up rubbish from orbit so that it doesn't smash into things exploding and stuff. It's a fantastic anime.
Also some other accessible anime that I can think of off the top of my head are Baccano, Samurai Champloo, Michiko e Hatchin, and then most of the Studio Ghibli films, also Satoshi Kon films, also if you're looking for a different art style to normal try Tekkon Kinkreet (a film), Mushishi, Kaiba maybe, etc.
peace out bro

Assuming I do, here's all the shows that I can think of with radical art styles: Tatami Galaxy, Kemonozume, Kaiba, Mononoke, Gankutsuou, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, and Katanagatari.
Yeah, I'm thinking I'm back.
The Ano Hana finale was kind of disappointing. I wanted it to be amazing but tbh it was one of my least favorite episodes. It made me feel fuzzy and sad but everyone could see that ending a mile away. I kinda hoped it would surprise me.

You're an idiot, there was no other way it could have ended.
C was incredibly disappointing. Pretentious out the ass to boot.
Enjoying Darker Than Black so far. It's like if X-Men was a violent anime without the costumes.
Also looking forward to how Deadman Wonderland ends. Ganta sums himself up nicely in the most recent episode.
Wow I dun see whats so good about anohana... it's just about a bunch of cliche dorks and some loli ghost girl...*yawn* lol
but considering the taste of members in this club, im not suprized that everyone baws to this because they need a show to tell them how to feel

Man you're dumb.
Ok so i just noticed this after a netflix anime binge...
trigun and trinity blood are sooo stupidly similar
- both have tri = 3 (not much but its the icing on the cake)
- Main heroes who have a troubled past vowing never to kill again
- Toward the end they have to kill someone
- They both are not humans who are almost immortal
- seemingly strongest being in their universe
- Any technology that seems somewhat normal to us is known as "lost technology"
- They both deal with the colonization of a new planet
- Both heroes are the founders of the civilization and began in some space program
- Both have evil brothers that seem to be stronger and they are twins
- Both have secret organizations working to destroy the world
- The only thing the separates them is their underlying theme of this is cowboy times and this is religious times
I like both animes but come on so many similarities
I'm still not sure if I want this, but hopefully it will turn out really good. Now we just need Persona 5...

Watched the first couple episodes of Chobits I like the OP but thats all I like about it. Way to much fanservice, the characters are ugly, and the story is pretty boring.

A show that caters solely to zombie fetishists.
eh, highschool of the dead was pulpy shlocky shtick. Pretty rubbish once you get past the gigantic tits and the girls touching themselves in the intro.
and that softcore porn ova

I liked the manga.
Did they get to the mall in the anime?
Highschool of the Dead was very average especially compared to Gantz which is much better at the whole apocalyptic chaos deal.

You are talking about the manga aren't you.
Because the anime was a fucking joke.
