Death Note is just like Full Metal Alchemist:

Overhyped, loved by scene kids who also probably think My Chemical Romance is cool and is played to death on TV.

But they're still good shows nonetheless.

Compared to animes like Elfien Lied, Lucky Star, Naruto, Inuyasha, DBZ, etc, etc. Death Note really isn't that bad. The worst part about Death Note, is the hardcore DN fans. haha

Plural of anime is anime. I have too much nostalgia related to DBZ to ever agree with this post. It's kinda like if someone where to say the original Pokemon games suck. I have too many happy memories associated with them to think poorly about them. These where just my generations things and if you talk negatively about then a lot of people will get butthurt.

I'm gonna agree with animetal. Well, I can't say anything about Elfen Lied, though it doesn't look good. What I saw of Lucky Star was dumb, though, and holy shit do Naruto and Inuyasha blow hard. Inuyasha especially is one of the worst animes I've seen. That shit is annoying. And Dragonball Z, I only watch because I liked it when I was like 10 years old and I get nostalgic. If it came out now, I wouldn't make it through an episode.

Death Note...meh. It was okay. It's better than those shows, but I'd still rather watch a few episodes of DBZ than Death Note.

To each their own, I suppose. But at least Death Note ATTEMPTED to have a plot unlike say Code Geass, which is just one clusterfuck of bad ideas after another.

In before you say "LOLOLOL DEATH NOTE IS WAY WORSE THEN CODE GEASS HERP DERP" because you obviously just have some hatred for death note that nobody really cares to listen to.

Now that I think about it though, Death Note always seemed to have some plot flaws though. For the first 15 or so episodes everything when exactly according to L's plans without flaw then once Light regains the Death Note, that huge plot he made to take out L/Rem/suspicion upon himself happened PERFECTLY without flaw despite it all being a bunch of gambles.

But animes are rarely realistic anyway.

Finished Gundam Wing + Endless Waltz.

Some comments:
- The TV series was well-done, but EW was disappointing. If it weren't so fast-paced, and was longer, it could've been way better.

- I loved the mech designs -- my favorites were Wing Zero, Tallgeese and Deathscythe.

- Treize was one of the best characters in the anime, along with Zechs.

Can't really compare it with the other Gundam show I've watched [G Gundam).

Marathoned Noien last night the character design was a little funky but it was a great show. I have had it sitting on my hard drive for a couple months so I figured what the hell and it blew me away. It wasnt amazing or anything I just kinda expected it to be shit.

I got netflix so I been watching a ton of the M rated Anime shows. Japanese know how to make a good tv series. Just got done watching Eden of the East. It was amazing, has to me one of the top 3 series I ever watched.

Protip: Don't watch the films, seriously. The first was eh and the second was a complete mess. They should have finished it with the series finale, which I thought was perfectly fine.

Tallgeese is probably my favorite overall in the mech line up of that show. Sandrock Custom is the best gundam IMO. Though, Heavy Arms Custom is pretty beast as well.

Trieze and Zechs give the show a nice political tone that a lot of Gundam series have. They compliment each other pretty good. Being that it's pretty much in it's own universe it really is hard to compare it to others. It's not bad but it's not great either. Good at best for me with a seven on the scale.

Yeah, the Sandrock was great as well. In fact, Quatre is my favorite out of the Gundam pilots (in Wing), and Trowa ranks second.
