Not much interesting things happened so far in G-Gundam (mostly monster/robot of the week) that I can remark on. Chapman/London was definitely my favorite of the batch of episodes I saw.

Which should I watch next: Darker than Black or Angel Beats? I'm leaning toward the former.

It's only about 10 episodes in, give it a few more, and then I promise you the plot gets moving.

Darker Than Black.

This is apparently incredibly misleading and has nothing to do with anything after the first episode.

Seconding darker than black, it's great fun and is just how action animes should be made. I need to go back and rewatch it at some point, just didn't really understand the end that much.
The second series is also very good and well worth a watch.

Not watched angel beats but I haven't heard much about it other than it's pretty good or something.

Watched Sword of the Stranger just now. Absolutely stunning, and I'm disappointed that I haven't seen this years ago(It came out in 2007). It's a throwback to how a samurai film should be, but with a very light tint of fantasy elements included.

Great sword fights, some of the best I've seen aside from maybe Samurai Champloo's. Although I think the most pleasant aspect was it's music - it sounded like, you know, a film score. And no hipster j-pop song playing during the ending credits.

Loved it.

This is why today I recommend you a special little title - it's like a 23 minute OVA. And the golden title that I'd like to bring up now, is called "Mars of Destruction". Simply beautiful, this is by far one of the greatest titles I've ever seen.

I mean fuck Gundam, or Rose of Versailles. MoD blows both out of the water with style and grace.

Complete shit... On another note I got offered editor (cleaner/typesetter) position in a group that is about to start translating XBlade. Is this manga any good?

I remember that series.

I didn't like it the first time I saw it, but then the later episodes got better. I'll leave it at that before spoiling something.

Watched Summer Wars just now. And I have to say that it surpassed all expectations I had for it, I absolutely loved it. At first I felt it was weird that it was playing off as a slice of life, but then there were the scenes with all the avatars on OZ. But it worked out shortly after. Loved the emphasis on the themes of family, they were entertaining to watch.

See it if you haven't.

Well, I've just marathoned 16 episodes and, MOTHER OF GOD, it was fucking amazing. Everything -- the characters, plot, fights -- develops well. Shinjuku arc was great and Schwarz is awesome.

Words can't express how epic this show is.

Look! The east is burning red!

I fucking told you, dude. Like goddamn, shit gets going after Master Asia's little 'revelation'. I love that part, my favorite though would have to be the world tournament that starts a bit later on.

So anyway, done with City Hunter season 1, back to Kimagure Orange Road for now, maybe start getting in a little One Piece now and then.

I'm going to take a short break from watching, but I think I'm at the beginning of that tournament (Domon has just got the Burning Gundam and defeated Neo-Greece).

Some extra thoughts:
- The second OP/ED aren't bad, but I still prefer the first OP.

- Master Asia has the best voice actor by far in the dub.

Yeah, the reveal regarding Schwarz Bruder took me by surprise. You'll know what I mean right after Domon's fight against him.

Have some more G-Gundam. I think I should be finished by the end of this week.

Chibodee has the best harem, and Allenby is my waif.

So shit just got real during episode 34 (the tag battle), and Wong is a cool villain. He's better than Kyoji, who barely has any screentime and lines (aside from episode 6, his only dialogue has consisted of an evil laugh).

Noble Gundam is Mai Gundam Waifu

Yep, it's a beautiful work of machinery; Burning and Noble Gundam are a great combination.

Kyoji's got his reasons. You'll see why he's so stoic soon.

Oh goody, can't wait for it. I've gotta admit, the evil laugh was worth the small amount of time he appeared.

And Wong was as big of an unintentional weaboo as any american, with his DANG Pocky habits.

So that's what he's been eating/smoking all of this time? I barely paid any attention to that.

I would go with Yay on this one, It has a decent story and some amazing action to it's credit, so I highly recommend buying it right now.

Yay.

Depends how much it's being sold for. Amazon has it for $50, a little steep for a 26 episode series, and not even bluray.

I think it's a great show, just make sure you've seen an episode or two before you decide to purchase the DVD set.

Slowly finishing casshern sins. Pretty good stuff, but I'm hoping for some more plot development towards the end of the story. First 10 episodes are a little slow.
