Wow, I can't believe that you are this dumb. I don't know where in the hell you got all this from, but I can tell you that you need to play outside and leave the anime discussions to the big boys.

Anime is considered cartoons, even if the majority of anime is targeted towards a much older audience compared to western animation. The only key difference between anime and stuff from Disney is anime is made in Japan, that's it. With that said, even though anime is considered cartoons, it's not really a good idea to let your children watch Hellsing or Black Lagoon and expect them to really be normal after that.

I watched the first episode of Fractale, it's got an interesting(almost) ghibli vibe, almost, with the characters and how the story plays out. Hopefully 11 episodes will be enough, even though a second season could always happen-- but I'm sick and tired of studios pulling that shit.

Also getting back to Future Boy Conan.

Since I'm much better at talking about stuff I didn't like than what I did like, I'm just going to say that the last saga sucked. It started out ok, but once Yusuke proposed a tournament, it's like at that precise moment, the series shit itself.

It's as if halfway through, there were major budget cuts and the entire saga had to be rushed to finish. I just didn't feel there was proper closure, and the way everything resolved was really anticlimactic.

im about halfway through, and i like it so far. Did you like the rest of the saga? If your answer is yes, then that is what really matters. That thus means it is a good show overally. Can't judge a series by the last few episodes, if so Dragon Ball would have a 5 out of ten cuz Gt sucked mostly (Some parts were cool though)

So far almost everything I'm watching this season is entertaining enough for me to keep watching them, some more than others. As for the shows I think have the most potential right now, that would be Madoka, Zombie, and Level E, since they seem to be the least generic so far. Depending on what happens in the next episode of Merry that could possibly be up there as well. Freezing also has massive amounts of PLOT, and is in 4:3 for some ass backwards reason.

I started reading Freezing a while ago, it's alright, not terribly compelling

I strongly urge you all to utter a prayer with me:

dear jesus, thank you for your gift of eternal life and the forgiveness of my sins, I accept it and I recant all of my sinful ways so that I may not pay the wages of death but remain in the gift of everlasting life. please forgive me now and forever, amen.

Now I know you're trying to get attention here once again, you're not fooling any of us. It's fine and dandy if you are now a born again Christian or whatever, but take your religious discussion somewhere else. This is {and always will be} the Anime Club, not the christian club.

Which means about 95% of anime that has ever been made. Whatever, I'm still watching those types of anime anyway, so put that in your pipe and smoke it.

I finally got around to seeing the Haruhi movie, and for what's it worth, It was extremely enjoyable, albeit long movie. Certainly takes the sting out of the nosedive that was the second season, and the rather pointless and crappy Endless Eight episode, *shudders*

I got all the episodes of Fist of the Blue Sky. For a modern anime, I'm not too sure about the quality of the art and animation, but we'll see, that is if I can get the sound to work. And I got Zombie Loan (I don't know much about this show but I heard it was good) the Darkstalkers OVAs, and the rest of the Golgo 13 series. I also got Fist of the North Star: Legend of Kenshiro. I can't seem to get my hands on the other new movies. I got a couple of other anime movies I hadn't heard of before such as Brave Story , Night on the Galactic Railroad, King of Thorn, First Squad, and Sky Blue/Wonderful Days, which I'm pretty sure is a Korean animated movie. I have no idea if I'm going to enjoy any of them.

Speaking of Korean animation, have any of you seen Aachi wa Ssipak yet? I've mentioned it before. It's awesome and hilarious.

Not that I'm defending his ridiculous statement, but you have to admit that while Anime is technically cartoons, it can be considered a specific genre of cartoon. When people hear the word "cartoon" they instantly think of slapstick comedies that have no existing plots, whereas "anime" makes them think of serious plotlines in animation, with much more violence, innuendo, politics, and religion than most American cartoons are known for.

I understand, and it is true that people tend to think of that sort of thing when they hear that word, but I feel my response to something as asinine as "anime is better than cartoons" was appropriate. Although I think a high amount of those who don't watch anime might think of simply more violence and perversion rather than the rest of what you suggested. I remember when one year for Christmas, I got a good amount of anime movies and my sister made a comment like "oh cool, more violent porn" or some shit.

Saying "Japanese cartoon" simply doesn't sound right to western audiences when you consider the common themes associated with it.

It sounds right to me, but probably not to some.

I wish they would hurry up and sub ep 3 of Robertas Blood Trail. I have literally no clue of what's going on, apart from the fact that Roberta is in batshit mode (firing a Barrett with one hand AND from the hip, WTF) . Also, back to proper Bleach next week.

I was thinking around the lines of Bible Black, but I don't think it's really Christian approved despite having the name "Bible" in it.

Anyways, finished watching Soul Eater after putting that off for a while, and now I'm going on to Durarara, which seems to have gotten a lot of positive hype for the series. I don't really know what I'm expecting at this time, but nothing ventured, nothing gained I guess.

I remember watching that a short while ago, it was pretty interesting. It has a somewhat interesting sense of political intrigue and overall what I watched of it was certainly good enough to warrant watching. I wouldn't say it's spectacular, but I've never really followed Gundam much anyway,

Amen, why Kermit is still with his little facade is beyond me, but I'll stick to the high road here, before I get cussed out by him.

Anyway, I watched the second Gundam movie, Soldiers of Sorrow. I'm surprised, this was much more interesting than the first movie, and actually made me want to watch the third.

I have only seen the first one in Sub, and it was pretty good, although I haven't gotten around to seeing the other 2 movies, I probably should check out the 2nd and 3rd movies when I get the chance.

I decided to skip Wing and Seed because they looked like shit.

I agree with you about Seed, I think that one just sucked ass overall, but Wing wasn't that bad, even though I was a kid when I first saw it on Toonami, and I thought it was the shit at the time.

Gundam 00 just has great reviews all-around and may be the highest-rated Gundam ever besides the first.

I have seen Gundam 00 on Syfy just a few months ago, and I can say it was one of the best Gundam series I have seen, right up there with 0079.

I have seen 00, and it really isn't anything special. I don't get the fascination with this show, when the characters personalities are as flat as a board, and the only saving grace that people care about is the fact that it's all gloss and no substance.

Why do you have to be so hostile when I'm only giving you advice? I think you need to sit in the fucking corner for 10 minutes or something.

Why would you want to watch these recent alt universe Gundams anyway? All they do is take tropes from the UC series, they're really not anything special. At least with UC you can get comfortable and develop a sense of familiarity with everything.

The only alternative Universe shows I'd suggest are G-Gundam and Turn A Gundam. G-Gundam is the perfect show because of it's camp factor, and Turn A because it at least has a fascinating landscape and premise.

I had no intention of insulting you as a user, once again I merely said "Enjoy your awful show". That in no way implied anything other than that 00 is a pile of shit.

Cowboy Bebop! Oh yeah... oh YES. The cream of the crop, the best anime that has ever been produced in the history of Japanese animation! Shinichiro Watanabe will always be my savior for making the hippest and coolest animated production of all time. I dare say that the soundtrack and distinctly american culture of Cowboy Bebop is also so hip and swinging that I feel almost like a free spirit for watching this.

Cowboy Bebop forever! The coolest anime of all time. Because I haven't watched anything else.

That's right, Kermit. Cowboy Bebop is the greatest anime of all time for a REASON. What makes it so good is the hip and nonchalant 'antics' of Spike, as he represents a lost generation, a hero to the underground. Cowboy Bebop has such an attitude and pace that reeks of confidence and style. Now, even though I haven't seen anything and unfairely compare it to the more stereotypical animes of the time. I dare say that it creates new dreams and films by breaking traditional styles. The work, which becomes a new genre itself, will be called... "COWBOY BEBOP"
