Boy, it sure is lame in here.
I just checked out the first episode of Highschool of the Dead.
The action is entertaining, and it's well animated, and that's what kept me watching. The writing isn't very good, but it's serviceable, I guess. I wasn't expecting much in that department from the title. The opening is incredibly formulaic. But hey, a zombie apocalypse opening still manages to entertain me, even when I know exactly what's going to happen.
I don't really like the character designs, but whatever. I usually don't with anime these days.
The biggest problem, which I'm sure would be obvious to anybody that's seen the show, is the ridiculous amount of 'fanservice'. It's terrible, awful, and way too prevalent in the show. I have to wonder about the
'fans' that are being 'serviced' by a shot of a girl with her skirt up, while she's having the top half of her body torn apart by zombies. It's a disturbing double image.
It's just so... Ugh. Annoying.
If I watch any more of it, it'll be because the action in the first episode was good. If I don't watch any more, it'll be because of the god damn pantyshots.
