Have any of you guys played the Dragonball game for the Wii? any good? Also, I played a demo of the Fist of the North Star game for 360. I actually thought it was fun.

the dub is great. better than the original audio.

Which one. There's like two. The one that follows Biribi (never bothered to know her name) and the one with the little priest girl.
The first one was the best obviously, but I found the other one quite intriguing.
On the topic of anime. I just finished the Haruhi movie and shit was fucking GOLD.
I can listen to this song over and over again tbh.

I have got to make a note to pick up this game, hopefully it will turn out better than the NES counterpart.

No argument here, especially when the director said it was better in English than the original audio.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
So far this season I've seen the first episodes of:
GOSICK
Infinite Stratos
Freezing
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica
Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka
Oniichan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne
I liked all of them, apart from GOSICK but I think that'll pick up soon enough. Apart from those the only other shows I have the intention of picking up is Fractale, but I may pick up others along the way, particularly that Lovecraft one. Anyone else watching anything this season?

I plan on watching Madoka Magica at some point, Beelzebub maybe, gosick maybe, not sure about anything else.
everyone at ANN seems to be all over their raging hardons for madoka magica so it cant be that bad

Dude screw you, fucking WINCEST. Even if the characters look tired constantly and are all anorexic.
This season looks a lot better than last season anyway, even if last season did have The World God Only Knows.

No. Aside from Fractale, everything else looks fucking awful.

I said 'looks', not 'is'. If I said 'is' then you could talk shit. If I'm unimpressed by the synopsis alone, why waste my time?

You don't see the ridiculousness in judging a show only on it's primary synopsis?

Yeah, I actually do. So, sorry about that.
Perhaps I shall take your advice and try out Oniichan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne!! I shall enjoy a splendid half hour of incestuous lust, I must admit it sounds like quite the lol!XD

I'm only planning on watching one or two series (Madoka, in particular. Dat trippy sequence, yo) since I'm running on shitty internet. I have a lot of manga to read anyway (planning on reading Saikano next).
Anyone play Pokémon Black/White yet? I've been playing it nonstop -- shit fucking rocks. Zuruzukin, Denchura, Zeburaika, I've got a lot of favorites already.

Sorry for double post, but I can't wait for its release in the States even though I've pretty much beaten it on an emulator. I'm planning on pre-ordering it over the weekend.

Yeah, I'm going to watch Madoka next, although I know very little about it. Then get to Durarara when I get the chance, everyone seems to be clamoring for this for some reason, might as well join the bandwagon.

I gave up after the GSC, also around the time I gave up on the Pokemon anime series as well, can't stand those bastardized 4kids dubs at all.

Inspired by my love of Pluto, I decided to check out the original Astro Boy.
I read the first volume of the comic, which was interesting enough. I liked having the little avatar of Tezuka commenting on his stories. But I really hate reading comics on my computer, and the comic was perhaps a little too 'for kids' for me, so I found it hard to get enthralled.
Then I heard about a cartoon of Astro Boy made in 2003 with supposedly great production values, and checked out the first episode of that.
The production values were indeed very good, and it's great to see anime in Tezuka's style. It really shows how far in the wrong direction most anime today seems to have gone stylistically. The show itself seems quite enjoyable. I might watch the rest of it.
What the fuck did they do to Wolverine? This anime looks like shit.

I'd say a lot of anime has gone in the wrong direction more than just stylistically. Hardly any anime that's been coming out now seems appealing in the slightest bit to me. I'm sick of the same "shounen" show coming out with a different name and all the girly "moe" stuff that's somehow supposed to be "seinen". A lot of anime looks the same to me lately. And the stuff that looks like it might be worth watching often ends up hindered by really annoying gags, creepy perversion, or annoying voice acting.
I'd really like to see something new from Kazuhiro Otomo or Shinichiro Watanabe. What have they been doing? People like them and Miyazaki and Yuasa Masaki give me some hope.
Just finished durarara.......... wow
it rocked so much, so many of the supporting characters were immensely enjoyable, especially the trifecta of badasses izaya simon and shizuo. I'm excited for the two special eps in feb or march or whenever they said they're being released.
Ending was a bit eh though, not enough closure and the last ep didnt really go anywhere, especially compared to the two before it.
9/10

I'm saving any old series til after exams, since I tend to get caught up in them and marathon them. Doing that now would ruin any chance I have of doing well.

Just wait til DRRR Season 2, Mikado's character gets pretty interesting, as well as delicious Izaya's sisters.

seriously. They made him a typical scrawny, pale, girly anime boy. And he has long hair for some reason. He's fucking Wolverine, not Kenshin. way to shit on one of the coolest American comic book heroes ever.

It's a really good show. Just be ready for the ultimate downer ending.
Just finished watching Shaman King and man the ending was kinda' meh but whatever I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Now trying to figure out what to watch next, either Flame Of Recca or YuYu Hakusho (yeah yeah I know, i still haven't seen all of the episodes so go troll on me).
Oh btw, Kore wa zombie desuka rocks. Being a zombie is totally badass.

Watching another episode of it, I'm actually really enjoying it. The animation is amazing, it's funny, and it doesn't seem to condescend like so many children's shows do these days (which, of course, stops me from feeling bad about watching a children's show).
I'll be disappointed when I run out of episodes that have been subbed, because I checked out the dub and I am not at all a fan of the way they portray Astro/Atom. Also apparently they changed a bunch of the dialogue, and cut scenes from the original version with which I am not okay.
Observations of the show Bleach (up to episode 150):
- Ichigo needs to learn to use his sword correctly. Seriously, when is he going to learn that the bandages and chain can be used as a whip-like ranged attack. It's annoying...
- Ichigo also needs to learn to use his controlled zanpakuto. The 2nd state is pretty awesome, but it loses it's touch when ALWAYS used in the 2nd state.
- When did everyone decide to go crazy with Bankai? Isn't Bankai an extreme measure of spiritual pressure? Renji, Hitsugaya, and Ichigo all decide "Hey, I'm a master at unleashing Bankai, let's use it all the time, amirite?"
- Rukia seems to have power shifts. The very beginning she's what? An advanced footsoldier I think? Now she is supposed to be a ranked officer with footsoldier missions, yet sometimes she'll get her ass handed to her and others (i.e. her fight with Espada #9) she'll be awesomely badass.
- Orihime needs to learn to use a real weapon. When she is (Censored) she better train with Rukia to learn advanced hand-to-hand or a sword or something. Hell, Uryu used the Quincy "Sword" as soon as he had it. He may have trained with it a LITTLE while staying at the Urahara shop, but damn.
- Bleach is similar to a Shakespear play in that there's always a light moment in between or right after a dramatic moment, excluding very important events. It can be funny, and sometimes it can be annoying.
- Major fights with Ichigo and his opponent are always a tease. TWICE now, he's encounterd Grimmjow and still they haven't completely fought. It's so damn annoying...
- The relationship tension is a pain in the ass... I know it's Shonen, but god damn. Let's get a love interest involved. It's been teased so many times... It's impossible if both Orihime and Rukia "love" him, (Rukia has never completely shown loving affection, besides her execution brawl, up to this point)
Ugh. That's it so far. Now, time to get my homework done in 20 minutes to keep watching. Also, I've watched 40 episodes in the last two days. I think... around 18 hours I've been watching straight. I may need to go to ER for back surgery. Oh, and random filler episodes. Such a pain in the ass... kk, just wanted to rant. Love you!

Unlike Kratos, Ichigo can't use the chains to attack enimies from afar, rather he the kind of Soul Reaper who prefers to go head on with his sword, and often times, when he gets cut up, he loses enough blood to fill up Lake Erie. {Slight Exaggeration}
- Ichigo also needs to learn to use his controlled zanpakuto. The 2nd state is pretty awesome, but it loses it's touch when ALWAYS used in the 2nd state.
At this time, he is trying to fully control the power without becoming a hollow. The battles before the espada proves this point.
- When did everyone decide to go crazy with Bankai? Isn't Bankai an extreme measure of spiritual pressure? Renji, Hitsugaya, and Ichigo all decide "Hey, I'm a master at unleashing Bankai, let's use it all the time, amirite?"
Much like the Super Saiyan transformation in DBZ, once you seen it the first time, almost everyone else can pull this off, even though some of them really shouldn't.
The random power shifts tend to get annoying, of course Rukia is only a footsoldier with more skills than most others in her position, but she's not even in the ballpark compared to Kenpachi's power.
Orihime is the white mage of the series, she is only for healing purposes and the occasional damsel in distress, I don't know what everyone else sees in here to be honest.
- Bleach is similar to a Shakespear play in that there's always a light moment in between or right after a dramatic moment, excluding very important events. It can be funny, and sometimes it can be annoying.
They would probably do this to prevent the series from turning all doom and gloom with saving souls and gutting hollows before they get to turn people into their lunch.
- Major fights with Ichigo and his opponent are always a tease. TWICE now, he's encounterd Grimmjow and still they haven't completely fought. It's so damn annoying...
I agree tenfold, the fights always seem like a tease, either that or they end up anti-climatic and predictable.
- The relationship tension is a pain in the ass... I know it's Shonen, but god damn. Let's get a love interest involved. It's been teased so many times... If I were in Ichigo's shoes, I would probably consider passing up any love interest with either Rukia or Orihime, Seriously. Orihime is a dumb bimbo who seems to get caught up in all the wrong places and at the wrong time, which isn't a surprise considering her brain is the size of a peeble, and her tits are about the size of boulders. Rukia is a passive aggressive bitch that is as flat as a pancake, and about as mean as a snake in the grass.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

Never really paid attention to the anime, but have you tried playing any other games in the series?
Gen III isn't the best, but they aren't terrible.
D/P/Pt is my favorite generation.
HG/SS and FR/LG are well-made remakes of the originals, but I do have nostalgia for the original games.
B/W is amazing as well.

There are so many reasons why I hate you right now. You completely failed to make a point as why a person should like anime and manga and your list comes across as nonsense. Kill yourself.
Also, watched Rebuild of EVA 1 and 2... So, it took them 10 years and they finally managed to make the series good. Also, Mari Makinami is best character on show.
