I saw something interesting in a bizarre way today.

At my university, they're doing some remodeling of the inner courtyard. So before everything gets torn down, they decided to do this wacky thing where they give anyone that wants it a paintbrush and some paint, and lets them go to town, writing or drawing whatever they want.

Anyway, the anime-related thing.

On one four sided pillar, one guy/gal obviously marked his/her geeky territory. On one side of the pillar was the words 'HARUHI IS ART'. On another 'HARUHI IS LOVE'. A third, 'SOS DAN' (that being SOS Brigade in Japanese. 'Dan' was in kanji). And on the fourth was the words 'K-ON' about ten times.

So there is a pillar in my university's inner courtyard covered in references to Haruhi Suzumiya and K-On! in massive eye-catching red letters.

All I could think of when I walked past it was 'what the fuck was that dude/dudette thinking?' Complete creative freedom and all he or she could think of was Kyoto Animation.

I really don't see how so many of you give a shit that KermitTheMuppet is here. Protip, If you'd all stop being such a bunch of whiny bitches and not actually give a shit that he's trolling the "drama" from his antics would be non-existent.
Of course I'd not share this bit of knowledge with those of you who are so easily offended if I'd assume you'd actually take my advice and stop, as I enjoy seeing so many of you getting your panties in a bunch.
(I'm definitely a big fan of Anime, Hentai and all that goodness, but I'm also a fan of seeing E-Drama as it's good for lolz.)

Also, the odds of this topic getting locked because of his occasional trolling is ridiculous. But again, if you'd actually care enough to prevent that from happening, you'd not bite when he'd throw his troll bait out. It would seem impossible that some of you could hold back your serious business enough to allow for his random trolling.
If any of you continuously bring to the moderation staff your frustration for his posting here, you're also increasing the risk this topic would have to get locked.
Though if a moderator were to actually care enough to lock this due to spamming, they'd no doubt be on par with any other serious business fag, and as such, shouldn't even be moderating here on the BBS.
Anyhow, with that said, don't expect any reply to any debate you'd throw back out at me.

Damn, I was kind of pumped when I saw the first few episodes of Devil May Cry, but there is no story to it really... At least not yet and I'm five episodes in out of twelve... I guess I shouldn't have expected much... I suppose I'll have to check out Darker Than Black right away.

Yeah, I've played a few of the games and the show is nothing like them, I wasn't very fond of the games either but the show is just random missions for Dante, and that's about it... It's really not even that entertaining to be honest.

Well, as much as I enjoyed that Kermit I thought it would be alright if I injected some actual discussion to the thread for a short while

Continuing on that tangent, I was browsing Netflix today and saw Darker than Black Vol 1 available. I figured it would be fun and I watched all five episodes included today.

I actually really enjoyed the choreography of the action pieces and the quirks each Contractor has makes them more interesting and diverse from each other.

In not doing the thing that you were doing.

Using the audio of the Grumpy Old Men trailer and overlaying it over some Naruto scenes is a fundamentally flawed idea. There is absolutely no point in doing it. Just... Don't do anything like that. Anime Music Videos are bad enough.

If you insisted on doing such a banal, pointless, horrible task, then here's some advice. You should really try to put some meaning behind whatever clips you use. From what I saw, all you were doing was finding times when Naruto's lips (and the other guy's) could sync to the audio and not paying much attention to what was going on in the scene. You should at least have some scenes that go with the audio in such a way that some semblance of a joke is made.

Also, choose more appropriate characters. I, uh, really don't understand what you were thinking when you decided that the most appropriate anime characters for the audio from Grumpy Old Men were children from Naruto.

Now I'm no expert on the medium, but if I felt some bizarre need to do what you did I probably would have used, say, Spike, Jet, and Faye from Cowboy Bebop. Something a little more apt, I don't know.

But yeah, there was no point to any of it. I don't know what you were thinking.
