DTB having a second season and a sequel with a different title is definitely news to me. Is the sequel manga only?

It's a stupid name.

It isn't a very good name, but the show is very cool if you're into some good sci fi action and nice artwork. Also, the music is good. Yoko Kanno.

Well, with Speed Racer, I think it's a question of what exactly Speed's fighting style would be.

You would think that it would have been a good idea to add them to the U.S. version for more appeal, like they did when they added Frank West.

I can't believe he's in that. Looking at the list, I think the choice of Capcom characters is a little odd.

Nein, esta une anime. Hmm...four languages in one sentence. Not nearly enough.

But yes, Darker Than Black 'tis a silly name.

Started watching some animes again. Cromartie high school and Samurai champloo, Kaiji and death note for the 3rd time, and watched Akira 2 times last month. I have also downloaded all the episodes of Initial D but haven't started watching that yet.

Samurai Champloo is cool because it does something new with the samurai genre instead of the same old cliches.
Cromartie high school is hilarious, and it reminds me of Detroit metal city.

Does that count?

Probably. my comment was sarcasm, anyway. I'm actually somewhat hostile at the notion of Japanese Culture, the country tends to lapse in to pre-WWII attitudes every now and then.

So, I just finished Katanagatari episode 1. It was alright, not as good as I expected. The beginning of the episode was really slow, and I was really close to hitting the x button, but I stuck it out and it was pretty good. Eh.

Now that I've run out of things to watch, I'm about to check out sora no woto. I really need to find some better series. It's fucking militiary k-on. I'd really like something better to watch, but I can't find anything amidst all of the "letter bee"-esque shit out there right now. Oh well, it might turn out to be decent.

I watched sora no woto's first episode. Really really not my speed. I need good humor or asplosions. This had neither.

Dance in the vampire bund's okay. The characters are bad, but I really like the premise of it. At least the vampires don't sparkle in the sunlight. The best part of the series has to be everyone who read the manga crying about how different it is. I got really hooked in by the first episode, but every episode after that seemed to be lacking. For now, I'll keep watching.

I have a question.
what's the name of the anime where people can kinda fuse and become 1 person with a weapon.
i saw that anime 5 years ago and I can't remember the name.
the main character is a boy. he fuses with a girl who refuses to fuse with anybody except him.
he becomes a boy with a weird mighty sword.
(srry for my grammar, i'm Dutch)

I you liked Lucky Star then you should watch Azumanga Daioh. It has a similar sense of humour, but done in a much better way. The characters and overall show is much more interesting.

Elfen lied
I honestly never thought that show was as bad as everyone said it was. Sure, it was extremely pretentious, but it was also entertaining.

thanks i was watching it and lmao and wtf for a while. thanks dude.
Elfen lied is a good show, of course the ending is way different from the manga, cuz the manga made me cry. but the show was good, i didnt see anything bad about it

I would recomend Slayers Revolution, great action comedy,

then there are those comedy romance ones where multiple girls go after one guy those are common but some are good, let's see there are, Magikano, Rosario Vampire, Maburaho, Happy Lesson, and Shuffle.

For a short one just watch Fooly Cooly.

I started watching a few of the shows you recommended and, i liked them, harems are pretty much read half the time, so it was awesome to watch a few animes that had harems. Slayers Revolution is a kick ass anime. oh yeah, dude....you are on my awesome list now

I despise harem anime. I find nothing abut them to be funny, and the less said about "fanservice" the better.

It depends on the harem in my case. I think that some anime like school rumble, and golden boy (yes, it's a harem. kinda) really went farther than the genre. Also, there are plenty of honorable mentions like toradora and ouran host club that made you laugh despite the faggotry of the red headed twins. Not all harem follow the same "guy gets popular out of nowhere and has to choose between a blonde/gray haired loli that calls him onee-chan, an energetic green/red haired girl that always hits him and is most likely his childhood friend, a shy and reserved blue haired girl who's most likely the top of her class, and the black haired student counsel president who's also most likely tied with blue bitch for being top of class" routine.

Eh, I forgot to throw in the chick who's the best in her school at sports.

I just love it how that show breaks up the action to give lengthy exposition about what the creators found out about computers and technology over the course of creating that show.

Or, should I say, I like it how the show breaks up the lengthy exposition to show some action.

Ugh. I won't buy manga off the shelf anymore because I can't trust the translators, and thanks to our friend in Iowa, it's now ILLEGAL to import the original stuff! Hence why I'm out of touch on some things...
