Well, that truly depends in the book publisher. They are ones with really nice translations and quality, and others with horribles one, like Just 4 Kids.

I have a question.
what's the name of the anime where people can kinda fuse and become 1 person with a weapon.
i saw that anime 5 years ago and I can't remember the name.
the main character is a boy. he fuses with a girl who refuses to fuse with anybody except him.
he becomes a boy with a weird mighty sword.
(srry for my grammar, i'm Dutch)

You asked this before, and we can't answer. If you could be less vague and more specific we might be able to help you.

I won't buy manga off the shelf anymore because of how crazy expensive it has become here.

It's about $30 NZD for a single issue of a manga, and that is far too expensive.

Well, I am lucky in my country the recent volumes of all mangas are just in $3.20. I was really surprise that the second volume of Evangelion (really old) was very cheap $2.40. I can buy many mangas, that is the reason I should buy them before.

More specifically, why not? I think most series are translated decently, of course, they're not going to be 100% perfect.

The problem is censorship.
After an infamous court case in 1999, American manga licensors/distributors (Viz in particular) were forced to vamp up their censorship policies. You ever seen any images from the original Pokémon manga (both original and translated)? You'll instantly know what I mean.
Before you correct me and say it was just Viz who did this, think about this:
The Pichi Pichi Pitch manga (which I have 4 volumes of) has some considerably graphic sexual content. Since I don't/didn't buy manga all that often, I had to wait several months if not years in between volumes, and when I tried to find the fifth volume up, it was all gone. This led me to the conclusion that Del Rey had pulled it from the market due to complaints (which I cannot find any other evidence of, but you get my point) or worse.
And before you say they don't do that anymore, think about this:
I once owned a copy of the first Yu-Gi-Oh! manga volume, and as we all know, it was rife with pantyshots, guns, blood and sex references. However, at least according to Wikipedia, subsequent editions (after I got my hands on it) of the same manga had a lot of this content edited out, both visually and through modified dialogue. This drove a very sharp point home that Viz was not to be trusted; I have since extended this to other publishers as well.
I don't even trust scanlations (yes, I know I'm putting my ass on the line by writing this); the translators often take MUCH more creative license than I believe they are entitled to, in addition to the fact that the images are typically littered with watermarks.
As I said before, I'd buy original, raw manga online if it were not for Christopher Handley and the uproar he caused.

Oh fuck right off. I've seen plenty of manga come out with relatively little censorship. Especially in recent years. The case you're talking about happened a decade ago. And I am not surprised that Pokemon was being censored, y'know, considering that the games, and anime was being marketed to kids. Young kids. Same for Yu-Gi-Oh which was a little more mature but still was heavily edited and marketed to kids. VIZ has some problems, particulary with One Piece especially after 4Kids gave their butchered take. But I've seen alot of manga not edited heavily from VIZ. NANA, JJBA, Ouran Host Club. Plus Viz has pretty good translations nowadays. As for heavily sexualized shit, Battle Club is one that sticks vividly in my mind, considering it involves women wrestling with alot of ecchi.

So, I find your elitism absolutely stupid with no real evidence. I find the case against Mr. Handley absolutely bullshit, and is no way a real case. But, that has no real bearing on what you're talking about. You're just being a baby because you found some very bad errors on the parts of translators for major companies. Things have improved greatly, though there is still a long way to go.

So, stop bitching. Be glad that they are even making the manga available to you.

True, the case was over a decade ago, but the prerequisite still remains. The plaintiff argued that the images in the Dragonball manga were "borderline soft porn" and thus federal obscenity law was drawn in.

Even if the overall situation is better than it was 10 years ago, it's still not enough to satisfy me.
I suggest you stop being a blind consumer whore and do some research before you buy everything thrown at you by licensors; if you've seen what I've seen, you'd be pretty pissed off as well.

Rofl, everyone got so hostile so fast.

Anyway, I tried out To Aru Kagaku no Railgun, and I'm disappointed. See, it's the generic "academy for superpowered highschoolers/middleschoolers" thing, but it's with all girls. The anime goes far too much in the "slice of life" category, and barely touches on superpower whoring. It's annoying when there's a person who can teleport like it's her fucking job, and she doesn't use the power once in a whole episode. If I could teleport, I would be abusing that shit all day. What's up with that?

Other than that, I gave serial experiment lain a shot, and it seemed like it was trying too hard. I guess I wasn't in the mood for such a "deep" anime, but I literally fell asleep half way through the second episode. I'll have to give it another shot considering all the praise it gets.

Finished up Kure-nai, and I enjoyed it. My favorite part of the series was the little girl female lead. She was cute and funny, the way "ojou-sama" leads should be in anime land.

In other news in shit nobody cares about, I'm about to finish up the "sayonara zetsubou sensei" series very soon. I have 3 episodes left in zan sayonara zetsubou sensei left, and it's a shame that I'm almost finished with it. I really enjoyed it; it had me laughing the whole way through.

Can't wait for the next episode of durarara. There's something about that series that really makes me cream my man panties. Also, really getting into katanagatari. I'm digging the fact that the episodes are 45~ minutes instead of the usual 23:40.

So, I need a new awesum action series to watch. Something really really really badass. I'm talking needless, sengoku basara, ttgl, black lagoon, gungrave badass. Any suggestions?

Fuck you, gungrave was great

Now, even though I haven't watched that yet, if you mean this current Winter 2009/2010 season, I'm pretty sure that there are plenty of others that are just as, if not more ecchi.

Ones like Chu-Bra and Omamori Himari come to mind.

Now that I think about it, does it seem like it to anyone else that there's just like an influx of fanservice filled anime this season?

I've had the displeasure of seeing the first episode of chu-bra, and a couple episodes of omamori himari, and ladies vs butlers is way more ecchi then that. You see uncovered titties at least 3 times an episode. The first episode consisted of the main running around campus running into women and tripping into them with his hands on their tits, and a very showing camera angle. Most ecchi anime I've seen in a long time.
