Computer Information Systems and Computer Forensics, respectively.

Wing is alright but I'd rather not watch that ever again.

I've tried several times to watch Wing, I never made it past episode 3.

Diablo 2 LoD anyone?

I still play that game. I love the Necromancer.

Which ones did you not like?

I can't really get into ZZ with it's super slow start. Wing is alright but I'd rather not watch that ever again.

I actually haven't seen a whole lot of Gundams. For UC Original Gundam to ZZ, and the only non UC one is AC: Wing.

Heard some bad things about Victory but I'd watch it anyway to see the insanity of Tomino.

Anyway, I purchased Cowboy Bebop Remix boxset as wall as Takashi Miike's Audition (one of my favourite films).

Speaking of box-sets I was going to buy the Samurai Champloo DVD Box-set since I couldn't find it in any stores where I live.....hmmmm I wonder if there is any anime on Blu-ray.

Me neither. I often find this club boring (no offense) because I don't know what people are talking about half the time.
So I guess I'll bring up something that makes sense to me and see if anyone follows...

Has anyone watched Chi's Sweet Home: Chi's New Address?
I noticed something in one of the episodes that caught my eye...

Anyway, aside from that wanna tell us what other anime you like?

Response to Anime Club 2010-01-23 23:38:14

Yeah, sure. ( I might not use correct terms, me being a noob and all. )
Bleach, Inuyasha, Hellsing and Naruto. A few others, but those are my favorites.
What about you?

Duels at dawn are also permitted, as well as biological warfare.

But mostly just discussing anime, yeah. To answer your previous statement, I started on Code Geass, and was slightly intrigued but I never got around to finishing it.

Good choices. Seems like everyone I know is going for something with computers or at least having it as their minor. At this point I'm not sure what I should go for but if it'll get my family off of my back about it.

I've tried several times to watch Wing, I never made it past episode 3.

Haha! You're not missing much.

Diablo 2 LoD anyone?

Same. But I've hit a plateau. 20 into poison nova and 15 into golem mastery. I do alright in nightmare but some of the monsters in Act 3 and most in Act 4 take forever to bring down. Not to mention when they are immune to poison. Starting to pump points into dexterity and skeletal mastery. Dex of attack rating and blocking and the other for the army.

Give G and Turn A a try. I'm sure you can find a few episodes on line. That way you don't spend money or resources on something you might not like.

Heard some bad things about Victory but I'd watch it anyway to see the insanity of Tomino.

V has it's highs and lows but Tomino put a good spin on this one. It's like the black sheep of the UC in a way but it really does shine. Oh man, not to mention the beast that is V2.

You like more moe anime than anything else it seems. Seeing how this is a male dominated club I can see how you'd find this place boring.

Trigun was good. I would strongly suggest it to you, just be prepared for the fact that the first half is lighthearted, and then it takes a rather sudden turn for the dramatic.

I never understood Ghost in the shell, so I really didn't like it.

I liked the movies, but not the series

Alot of companies have been licensing their animes so alot of shows have been removed from viewing in some sites, also the some sites want you to pay them monthly, like Funimation, if you can try Youtube though if you don't do it qickly it will be removed soon.

True, Crunchyroll charges upwards of $7 a month for full services, but I've been scraping by using what free users can access. (Be warned; the "CR Bucks" offer is a phishing scam.)
Also, Viz Media has been streaming some anime (dubbed, most likely) on Hulu and Joost, if you want to check them out.

Complete opposite for me.

I liked the first film well enough, but the second was incomprehensible. It was just a hurricane of technobabble and first year philosophy.

The series was great, though. It had some amazing action, coupled with genuinely interesting mystery. And I didn't even find the excessive exposition boring.

So, I caught up on Dance in the Vampire Bund. Fucking great. This, durarara!, and the breast milk anime are the only 3 new promising ones I see this winter. Gainax is making some super loli anime. When I say super loli, I mean kindergarten. Who the fuck would watch that shit.

Don't forget the horribly integrated CGI. None of these made me dislike it, can't explain why. I still don't know what standards I set to judge anime by, I just like some and hate others, there doesn't seem to be any specific genre.

It's not you I was talking about; HnK references are sometime thrown into today's anime. (If you remember Bottle Fairy, there was one thrown in there, and I think there might have been one in the early episodes of Shugo Chara!)

I haven't seen too many Gainax anime but if what you say is true then maybe I'll check those shows out then since I'm still waiting for Slayers Revolution DvD to get in my mail.
