Watched two episodes of the Black Jack OVA series today. It's pretty good, in spite of its poor animation and cheesy triple cuts.
One thing, though.
Why does nobody make any reference to Black Jack's appearance?
This guy would look like a freak if he was a real person, so why are all of the female characters attracted to him?

Hey, I'm just posting here cuz i love anime, but i've been hard pressed to find anything that keeps my attention lately.
I started off my anime 'career' watching Naruto, Chobits and Fullmetal Alchemist. Loved them all, but got bored of Naruto once i caught up and had to wait every week for a bunch of talking and a cliffanger.
My favorites for a while have been FLCL, Neon Genesis, and Cowboy Bebop.
So basically I'm looking for something along those lines, to get me back into anime.
Any suggestions?

If you liked FLCL then I would suggest watching Gurren Lagann since it has that same craziness that FLCL had.

Elfen Lied? Oh boy where do I begin. It's shit. It's one of the most god awful pieces of turd that has been shot out of the ass of Japan. Don't watch it as it's one of the worst piece of crap ever. That's saying alot considering I watched Manos: The Hands of Fate. That's more enjoyable then Elfen Lied.

Cromartie High is a good comedy that you should check out. Lupin III is another one as well. You 'might' like Monster but that's a long shot. Lastly, Mushishi is a really relaxing series which would probably suck you right in and get you back into anime for sure.

I FUCKING AGREE! im not the type to leave in one ep but my god it is one of the dumbest shit i ever seen, and the danm opening was hell. the show was nudity for no reason, and the fighting was to crazy. the insanisty was fun. either way it was way to over-rated.

Oh how I love Mystery Science Theater 3000. Moving on, Queen's Blade. Yeah if you've heard of this show you're going to look at me with an expession that just says "pervert." Seriously. Desert Punk was awesome, but I didn't like the end. I just got all 3 Violence Jack OVAs today (on one DVD). It's the uncut version. I just watched a little bit of Evil Town, which was the only one I've seen before. I just got a chance to watch the first episode of Ergo Proxy it was good. I haven't got a chance to watch much anime lately but I have been keeping up with bakemonogatari and bleach. Avatar isn't actually an anime, it's an american cartoon - And yes, it is for kids. (Although I know other teenagers who watch it)
In my opinion the show's concept is very flat and unoriginal, but the show itself makes it work. I liked the series.

I loved Mushishi, Gurren Laggan (until it got lame) and Samurai Champloo. Guess i forgot to mention them. Ergo Proxy was incredible as well, although i had the same problem as TTGL; after about episode 27 it just changed too much and i lost interest.
I'll give Cromartie High a chance, byt as for Lupin III, i watched a couple episodes and just wasn't interested enough to continue. To be fair though, I almost stopped watching Cowboy Bebop after the first episode, and boy would that have been a mistake :P

If you're into more action based animes then I would suggest watching Black Lagoon and Hellsing. You might also like FLCL and Gurren Lagann, but I would suggest watching my first two suggestions before checking these ones out.
If anyone cares, I am watching, and reading One Piece rite now. The Manga just got fucking epic.
Watched Afro Samurai, rewatched both Samurai Shamploo and Shaman King. And playing to watch GaoGaiGar and G-Gundam.

Majority of the series was worth watching, but it got a little crappy around the end. Either way, I didn't like it is much as most people did. I still haven't even watched the OVA's yet, so I can't really give an opinion on them.
