Are you talking about season 1 or 2?

Already seen all of 1.

The Disappearance of HS, season 2, of course. I thought the first series was great.

Just got back from AnimeFest... the lines were fucked up and everything else was a drag...

damn swine flu scare took out all the guests

I just watched episode 98 of Shugo Chara! (I can't afford an anime membership) and am now desperately bored. I had my eyes on some titles like Kaleido Star season 2 and Wedding Peach, but with ADV Films' fate sealed, I don't know what I'm going to do.

What the fuck is with this?

Why would they want to waste 8 of the 14 episodes looping with only slight changes every time?

Jesus Christ, I think three episodes of the loop would've been enough. BUT EIGHT?

Wow, just wow.

I got 2 questions to ask everybody.

Who is your favourite State alchemist? [FullMetal Alchemist]

If Kira was real, would you think he's good or bad? [Death Note]

Does anybody besides me ever get that feeling where you're watching an anime that sucks, and you know it does, but you just can't stop watching?
I kinda got that with a few.

Who?

Light Yagami, Misa Amane, Kyosuke Higuchi, and Teru Mikami were all Kira.
I hope I didn't miss anybody...

Code Geass and Death Note.

Although the first 15 or so episodes of Death Note and the first season of Geass were both really good, after that both those shows blew mega ass.

But I kept watching hoping they would redeem themselves eventually. (Death Note did on the last three episodes, Geass didn't)

You know I REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLY wouldn't be surprised if another huge Death Note anime and/or manga comes out.

Why?

1.) Death note = MEGA UBER SUCCESSFUL ANIME. Both the American and jap. versions brought in a fuckload of money, and the manga itself did great as well.
2.) At the end of the manga does it say on the last past on the last chapter something along the lines of "This is the end of this Death Note story" or something like that?
3.) On one of the episode segments where it tells you something about the Death Note it says the world can have up to 6 death notes in it at once and any after that wouldn't work. Why would they tell us that if the series was only going to have two(I think) death notes in the whole series.

So yeah, another death note series is bound to happen eventually. Personally I hope it won't be about a huge mass murdered again though, I can't see them making that work again.

Supposedly Zac Efron Is going to play Light.

I actually liked the second season of Code Geass. Sure, it wasn't anywhere good as the first season, but it still had a really good ending. As for Death Note, I was never really a fan of the anime, but I did enjoy the manga.

A new series would be extremely pointless since it would be way too similar to the original series. There's not really much more that they could do with the series, so I think it's at an end.

They did however make a prequel to the series which was released as a novel, but it didn't have the actual death note in it. From what I've heard it was mainly ment to give L more back story.

Season 2 basically ruined the anime to me.

Shame, it could've been so great based off of how good season 1 ended.

No, not a "I got a death note, must kill bad guys, ah unnamed detective in the shadows I MUST KILL HIM!"

They don't necessarily have to make another death note series based off a insane serial murder genius or filled with physiological warfare.

I mean, the only thing that would have to be for certain is 1.) Death Note, 2.) A shinigami.

Anything else could be a completely original plot.

Yup, that's right.

Here is my summation of the second season of Code Gayass.

Who am I, oh wait I'm zero. You're not my brother but I'm going to use you anyway. Plot twist, plot twist, plot twist. Battle is like chess. Plot twist, Plot twist. I am zero everybody. I don't like you. I'm becoming my father. Who is that guy? I thought he was dead. He's coming at me with an odd sword. Hey he's pretty good. Umm... he's too close. Get away from me, get awaaay from me. Boom, dead.... or am I.

Pretty much, apparently the reason 2 was so much different and so much worse from season 1 was because a different person made the story for each season, and also time slots in japan changed.

When season 1 aired, it broadcasted episodes at 11 of their night. Then when season 2 came out their time schedule was changed to 8, a time much more accessible by many more casual TV watchers and younger viewers.

They basically needed to change completely to appeal to people channel flipping and to keep the show appropriate enough for younger viewers.

....Or at least, this all was Ichiro Okouchi claimed.

But I don't forgive them, even if they were moved to a more viewed time slot they shouldn't change the story to be more entertaining to people with short attention spans.

My laptop charger shitted out I can't watch any anime for like a week. Stuck on my shitty iPod. Hopes I get my new charger before school starts. Hope college shit won't be too hard and I will still have time for shit. Also watched Last Exile it was okay. Seemed aimed at a younger audience though. I don't understand there is like a mix of time periods. The ships have parts that are futeristic at the same time though it has some really outdated stuff like there mean of communication. The animation was nice though.

I agree on you with the cut scenes, american VA's and Graves name. Shying away from the blood didn't really bother me all that much. Points I will give it are story and OST. Some to character development as well. I can see why you feel how you do with it now.

That's about right. Even though people can still be a character if they want to, it just doesn't mean anything. Just for fun or whatever.

I still remember the heated conversations in character between Inuyasha (Wonko) and Kouga (LLStarks) with Kagome (Tink) in the middle trying to keep the peace.

I remember coming in when Wonko was still Inuyasha and asking for the name. Even changed my name to Inuyasha for a while.

Almost threw up in my mouth there.

No one uses that wiki of the rules anymore, although I still try to enforce some of them. Like no direct statements of piracy, most of us know how you "obtained" your anime.

You by chance have a link to that old thing anywhere?

Was I ever Inuyasha? I was Vicious, I remember that. I don't recall ever liking Inuyasha. The show or the idiot who took that character. Remember, the first time I left the club was because that fucking show was all anyone here would talk about.

You were Inuyasha after Vicious, then changed to Sauske and back to Vicious. I was the idiot who wanted Inuyasha. Tink probably talked you into it.

Brotherhood? I recommend giving it a go. FUNimation has dubbed episodes on their site, all the way up to the most recent which is 22 I think. Some great animations and gets brutal at parts believe it or not.

Now now, you can't watch anything else until you finish your G Gundam son. DBZ is alright, still a classic but I wouldn't watch it again until I'm dead. Mushishi is great as well. Another series you can find on FUNimations site or youtube one.

Younger than you? No, definitely not.

I enjoyed Last Exile, though it had its share of problems.

It had a great beginning, dipped a bit in the middle when there were a few ridiculous reveals, picked back up to being great again, and then had a pretty terrible ending.

But it's still one of my favourite animes.

I don't understand there is like a mix of time periods. The ships have parts that are futeristic at the same time though it has some really outdated stuff like there mean of communication.

How can you not understand it?

It's set in a fantasy world. Fantasy worlds develop in different ways to ours.

As far as I can tell, the evil dudes were just more technologically advanced than the good guys, who were trapped in steampunk.

It's really something that happens a lot in fantasy anime, and in every Final Fantasy game.
