I've been wanting to see it. A volume keeps switching between available and wait status on Netflix. I don't want to be in the middle of it and end up having to wait to be able to continue it which is what happened to me with Escaflowne on the LAST freaking volume. I finished an entire series before I got to see the last couple episodes of the stupid show.

Was there ever an anime you watched and thought was amazing, until it was ruined by a bad ending?

yeah. But I force myself to get over it and look back fondly or enjoy it again.

Why do you guys think that show is so great? I was annoyed through most of it. All I saw good about it was the designs of the mechs and the action scenes. And I guess the score was good, too. The rest was painful to me. I didn't like the plot or the characters.

I actually kinda liked Azumanga Daioh as well. Lucky Star is not as good as everyone has made it out to be. It's the least bit random, there were only a few good parts and well it wasn't that interesting. Now Azumanga Daioh had moments that made you think what the fuck.

Here is one of my all-time favorite Osaka moments. I thought the one teacher was cool too, you know the one.

Lucky Star tried way too hard to be like Azumanga Daioh, but ended up falling flat on its face. The only funny part of the show were the segments with Akira Kogami, but they were too short to make an entire episode worth watching just to see.

I thought the one teacher was cool too, you know the one.

Are you talking about the perverted one?

I've seen a bit of Lucky Star on Livestream and each time, I ended up putting it on mute until something else came on. I would try to listen to the dialogue and then my brain would just take a big shit and I'd zone out until they stopped talking. Someone said "It's like Seinfeld" which I guess I can sorta see in the "show about nothing" aspect, but...uh...no. The show doesn't seem very good. But I've been curious about Azumanga Daioh for a while. It looks to me like it could possibly be funny.

I actually enjoyed watching Lucky Star, but looking back on it I have no idea why.

I very rarely laughed while watching it. Sure I laughed at some of the Akira Kogami stuff, and most of the comic book shop guy stuff, but I really didn't laugh in an episode any more than I'd laugh at an episode of How I Met Your Mother.

It's the same with Azumanga Daioh, really. I rarely laughed in that as well, but I still enjoyed it.

I guess I just liked the characters, or something. Or maybe I was just entranced by the bright colours.

As everyone else had said, the only good part was the shop owner's sections. And there really wasn't enough of him.

When shows have little side gags like that it helps to keep them reoccurring. Like with Excel Saga, Pedro had a 1-3 minute slot in each episode and I rather enjoyed it. That show also bred some of the most ridiculous shots in anime.

Simply put, it was one of the better animes I have seen in a while, although I thought the ending could have been a bit more "closed" (I still feel like there is something missing in that ending). I recommend this to anyone who hasn't seen it. Well, now time to start on Elfen Lied!

I like to call Elfen Lied, Chobits but with blood and nudity. Think about it for a second will you.

Some may have reached America but weren't widely televised.

Chobits, Excel Saga, Devil May Cry, Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, Urusei Yatsura, Tokyo Mew Mew, Speed Racer (originally from Japan), Azumanga Daioh, Paranoia Agent, and well I can't remember all that I've watched.

I thought that Kurokami was a really good series, but I've never heard anyone talk about it, so I can't really say what everyone else thinks of it. Anyway, the series is really good in my opinion, but it gets a little cliche and over the top by the end. If you look past its flaws, you'll find an enjoyable series. You can watch the entire series for free on Bandai's YouTube channel.

I just watched Lupin III vs Detective Conan, and well if I was to lean which show it actually was I would say Detective Conan. I also thought there wasn't enough Goemon in it. The story was Lupin quality, which is good, and well the culprit was Conan quality, easy to figure out. I did enjoy watching it though, it's been a while since Lupin's face graced my monitor.

Don't question a good thing, oh wait question everything.

But I believe the sudden spurt of conversation started well I don't know, I think that we were all on at the same time and we started a conversation about how Azumanga Daioh outranks Lucky Star and then we kind of went around from there.

It's like I said,

Chobits+Girls Bravo+Blood+Incest=Elfen Lied

That is all that really needs to be said about this show.

I just started Kirarin Revolution after a few years, and I think I know why Viz hasn't put in on American television (besides the obvoius motive of torturing fans, building up frustration and ultimately feeding them shit):
- Stalking
- Possible animal cruelty
- Cross-dressing
Among other issues.

Other than this, the show is awesome. It reminds me of Kaleido Star (which I have yet to start the second season of).

I maek lolz. I play Steam. I fight for genital integrity.
