Hah, intellectual.

The series is pretty silly and ridiculous overall.

I wouldn't watch the thing because I thought the idea of a teenage God was thought provoking. I watched it because I thought it was funny, and entertaining.

I enjoyed it, in any case.

Found out one of the delivery guys that drops off muffins and loaves at work has a huge collection of anime on his computer--he was like "HEY COOL ANIME CHARACTER!".

He was a pretty chill guy beforehand, but now he's like super awesomesauce.

Funny thing is Geass doesn't seem to have caught on in Canada.

None of the TV stations air it, haven't seen the DVDs in stores and nobody but the fags in my English class talks about it.

Hell, even the hardcore Wapanese types who cosplay and watch Naruto don't seem to care about it.

We have very few channels with anime.

And the most widely available network has an exclusitivity agreement with Viz for some reason.

hahaha, Max. An english class with Geass fanboys sounds horrible.

It is.

Because they don't watch anything else good (except for Max, but that's only because me and Shane introduced him to Akagi and DMC).

Yeah you would, I'm over-opinionated enough to let everyone know what my BEST SHOW EVER of the week is.

Swell, you should ask him what series he likes most next time you see him. Hope he doesn't like Geass or anything.

I know my co-worker likes Geass and Naruto. :( And I think the newest Gundam, I dunno, I'll ask him tomorrow.

I'll ask him the next time i see him. which might have to wait till Monday or whenever it is I'm working during the week when he pops in with delicious treats.

god, I want banana bread right now.

Did anyone do something special for Halloween this year? I took the day off work so I could pass out candy to the trick-or-treaters, and I saw one girl who went as Sakura Haruno. It wasn't some cheap store-bought costume - I think it was hand-crafted with attention to detail. She and her little brother even said "Arigato" after getting their pieces of candy.

I give up. That's just how I read the show. I don't know about the books, I have no patience with reading pdf's and there are no print translations available (and if I have to read translations, I'd prefer them in finnish).

I'm just saying taht you don't have to like every character to like a show, in a sense, Haruhi is a villain in the show (she has, after all, almost caused the end of the world over a jealous fit, you're not supposed to understand her motivation to do so, but Kyon and the others' motivation to stop it from happening).

Regarding my place in the NG/A/, will I have to re-apply for membership and so?

I doubt that. I remember a couple years ago there was a rule that if you were inactive for a certain amount of time (I think it was 2 or 3 months) then you had to reapply.

Big deal in Japan. Because

1) The final season just ended

2) Every genre is in there including lolicon, shotacon, yaoi, yuri etc

I swear every anime forum on the internet probably went ballistic once the final episode was out. Kind of disgusting.

Nice Cart.

If no here has seen it yet than I suggest you do.

First season then 2nd. You won't understand anything if you watch straight to 2nd

Well, that depends on the definition of Maistream. Of shows that are licenced here, I liked FMA and the One Piece Manga.

We used to have one. It was color coded, too.

Anyway, I started Now and Then, Here and There earlier the other day. It's been a while since I last watched it, but it's just as powerful and intense as I remember.

If no here has seen it yet than I suggest you do.

I remember raving about it before and nobody payed attention. Then you started watching it and I was like "what the hell...".

It has some nostalgia with me for being the first series I started watching on my computer, thus kickstarting my Animu habit.

I can watch an episode or two once in a while for nostalgia. That's about it.

I do too, even though they fucked it up by adding Near and Mello.

DBZ is a show that I have no desire to watch again.

Back when I was young, that show was the shit. I loved it.

Though it did get ruined a bit by the horrible airing of the show where they'd go up to the Namek saga, then repeat the show from the start, then go up to the saga after the Namek saga, and repeat the Namek saga, etc.

There seems a decent possibility that if I went and watched it now, I'd decide "wait, this show isn't really as good as I remember it."

Sort've like Pokemon, only my nostalgia for that is big enough that I just don't care. Everyone I know (that is around my age) has huge nostalgia for Pokemon; it's awesome. In fact, just the other day a collection of people in my form went through all the names on the list of people in my form, and then assigned a Pokemon to them based on their personality.

I was an abra for whatever reason.

Speaking of soundtracks, I got the Darker than Black OST by Yoko Kanno. awesome stuff. And I'm getting close to finishing Darker Than Black. It's a good show.
