Holy fuck, man, that really really sucks. I'm sorry to hear (read) that. That's like one of my worst fears. I've had thoughts about that since I was a child. I wish you luck.

I'll give it another try. It does have Rei, who I couldn't seem to find for MUGEN.

They have a Rei, and a Souther, and A Shin. check ahuron's site, or go to mugenation and it'll link you to his site.

Also, this game rules because it has Mamiya. MAMIYA!!!!

Just got back from ICON, a video game/ anime convention I went to. Now, I went as Dean the gamer, not as Dean the hardcore Otaku, because when it comes down to it, the anime section is lacking to say in the least. However, this did not prevent tons of people from cosplaying, sadly, they all lacked originality. Out of everyone I saw, the majority were either Narutards or Ichigo from Bleach. I did see someone who was dressed as Ryoga, who, ironically enough, was lost.(he was trying to find the video game building) I kicked ass in the brawl tournament, but lost in the finals, so I just missed winning the prize. What scared me was the amount of old people there. By old people I mean like 60+ wearing cat ears and stuff like that. There was an animosity between the gamers and the cosplayers, and I really felt disgusted by like 99% of the cosplayers. After all, you can only see so much fail in so little time. In the end though, it was good fun, and I'll see if I can get some pics uploaded to show you.

What are the names of some Nazi based anime? I feel like looking at some.
also if this is from one what is it? As I have had several people asking and I realised I don't know myself.

Hellsing
Black Lagoon
the FMA movie
Urda

And I can't recall since I only saw it once like a year ago (even though I own it on VHS), but maybe Jin-Roh?

Speaking of which, I really should watch that movie again.

Jin-Roh is somewhat related, since it takes place in an alternate timeline where the Third Reich won WWII.

Yeah, I remember it was about the Axis winning WWII instead of the Allies, but I couldn't remember anything else.

Well, I do remember those cops that look like the cover of Retaliation by Carnivore....and Agent Orange by Sodom...and the Hellghast from Killzone.

Clearly, I'm missing something. What's up with this?

The Kerberos Corps uniforms are based on Schutzstaffel stormtroopers, so it's not surprising to see other art with Fascist themes looking similar.

On a related (and slightly humourous note), in the 90s, riot cops in Tokyo wore uniforms that looked nigh-indentical to Kerberos ones, complete with red goggles.

Black Lagoon

Not really, only there for about two episodes. It is very interesting how the japanese view World War two though...

It doesn't really give any indication of how the Japanese view World War II.

Just how the series creators view Neo-Nazis.

Wait, I never said the anime did. I said it is interesting how the Japanese view it, based on political parties in Japan and certain statistics. I wasn't implying that because the Anime said one thing, Japan must have the views of that anime. My first sentence was telling him the amount of episodes that nazies appear in, my second one was saying it is interesting how the Japanese view WW2. I never stated that the anime was any indication of Japanese opinion....

I just finished Code Geass and Hatenkou Yugi. They were very great.
Code Geass is now one of the few mecha anime that I actually like. Everything in it was just brilliant. The only thing I'd say that I didn't like about it were the opening and ending songs. =P
Hatenkou Yugi was pretty good. I really don't know how to describe it. =P
Also, I watched the first episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's... Playing a children's card game on motorcycles ftl. XD

Well, thing about sword fights is that they are tough to do, most of it is blocking or hitting a guy who blocks your hits. Now, fist fights are easy cause you can take mutiple hits and not die. Gun fights are easy to pull off because as long as there is distance, you can extend the fight however long you want. Sword vs Gun is doable, because you can have teh L33T sword ninjaz who can slice bullets. But sword vs sword is harder to do, because one good hit and the other guys done.

Now, battle axe vs sniper fights don't really last all that long, sadly....

Well, there was Black Lagoon with the HIGHLY unrealistic gun versus sword battle. But yeah. Not enough.

Just like right now, where I'm saying that I always have something to say, and am about to praise myself for it.

And I'm doing a damn fine job of it too.

so i just finished one called Mahou Shoujotai (Magic Girl Squad).

its about a human girl that winds up in a magical dimension where meets two apprentice witches that get caught in her adventure. she learns magic, causes havoc, and saves the day.

While it was on the fruity side, it got pretty bad ass. the main characters were fun. basic save the world kinda plot but with enough twists to keep it interesting. gorgeous animation too.

its really easy to watch too. 26 episodes all under 10 minutes. its definitely worth watching if your ok with a little girly childishness.

Anyone pleased with the Spring Anime lineup?

A lot of childish shows and such, but some good ones like Frontier and the continuation to Code Geass are something to look forward too.
