Unfunny filler?

OH GOD NO!

THE SHOW ISN'T UNWATCHABLE FOR SEASONS ON END OR ANYTHING!

It was also too long.

Yeah, especially given the amount of anime-only story material.

If they trimmed the fat, they likely could have delivered a good show in 50 episodes.

Like travel or something. Also wouldn't hurt to make some worthwhile cool antagonist.

Instead of one shot lame villains.

Well, in the Manga they had "boss" arcs. The anime only covered Mariko and Pantyhose though. The ones that they should have put in were Ryu Kumon(Bonafide Badass), Herb, Lime and Mint (One of the best arcs in the series) and finally Saffron (Only character to really "die" but not really..)
Anyone of those arcs would have made a great movie. Instead they gave us some loser who refers to himself in the third person and a gay version of Herb, Lime, and Mint.

I think I gave up on the show after about... 30 or so.

26 would have been a good number.

26 is always a good number.

---

I finished Clannad (though I hear there's another episode to go, I have no idea what it's like since this was a clear ending, and I also hear there's an OVA going to be released. I assume that the extra episode will be an epilogue, of sorts).

The show had a good ending, despite Nagisa being by far the least interesting character on the show (I would have preferred a Kyou/Ryou ending, even if the only reason is because they are almost entirely the twins from Lucky Star (even down to the way they look)).

Oh well.

Good series.

I might wait for the Clannad game translation project I've heard about.

UGH, SO MANY DAMN FLAWS. DAMN IT TAKAHASHI, YOU COULD HAVE MADE SOMETHING FLAWLESS.

Well, truth be told Takahashi's not to blame when it comes to the anime. What she IS to blame for is Ranma's lackluster ending, and also for creating Inu-yasha.

Bad place to stop, seeing as you missed a fair amount of good episodes.

Regardless, it's really only truly worth seeing the first 40 or so, because the rest (until the middle hundreds) is pretty weak stuff.

26 would have been a good number.

Nah, not when you're talking a show based on a manga that outlived its TV run by four years.

They just needed a better writing staff clearly, since the initial 18 episode season was really damn good and actually had a story.

Then season two hits and BAM, plot's closed till season three (and even then not much else happens).

Four, five and six have no real defining marks, and then seven is great up until the final two-parter.

Considering I didn't really like the first season all that much, I'm sure it was a fine place to stop.

It wasn't going to turn me around within those next 10 episodes.

I watched thirty episodes of the show.

That's longer than any one of those "adapted from a bishojo" game animes that I've seen.

Besides.

They're prettier.

You're a shallow faggot.

I win.

If you're going to watch pretty stuff, go for the pretty stuff with substance.

Like Gintama, which is probably the most underrated series in the history of mankind.

Or on the flipside, go for balls-out for more stream-of-consciousness comedy with 2X2 = Shinobuden. Ridiculously well-animated and with witty dialogue. Almost makes up for the fact the story goes absolutely nowhere after episode one.

OR MAYBE YOU SHOULD JUST LEARN TO WATCH BADLY ANIMATED OLD CRAP

I could do that.

Or I could listen to my brain, which tells me that I actually legitimately like the series I've been watching, and have not just been watching them for the animation.

If I decided to watch an entire series just because it was well animated, I'd probably go insane.

I've just found the funny parts of the shows I've been watching more funny than Ranma 1/2, and the serious parts more poignant.

I just like to annoy people sometimes, and it clearly annoys you to think that someone might be watching something for reasons which aren't the ones that you use.

MAYBE I SHOULD MAKE MY RIDICULOUSLY APPARENT SARCASM MORE OBVIOUS

I really don't care why you watch the stuff you do, because I'm not a complete idiot. I just dislike it for my own reasons.

I'm not a fraction of the elitist my caps-tastic posts make me look like, I'd go insane if I was. Fanboyism does not totally cloud my logic.

It's when you get more specific.
