My Galaxy Express 999 Vol. 1 arrived today. It's amazing. The art style is so unique, compared to the manga of today. Even though this is technically the sequel to the first GE999, the story still makes sense to me. Knowledge of the "Leijiverse" would help, but I jumped into it, and I'm enjoying it without any confusion.

Now, I have to order Vol. 2. Twenty bucks a volume, but it's worth it.

Well, fuck.

I'm pissed that you have a pathetic excuse, though.

Distracted by the "raging awesome"? That just means you were too ignorant to use two seconds to do something other than hyperventilate.

God forbid you could ask a clerk where the wallscrolls are located...

Well, can you wait for your birthday present? The store is getting your wall scroll, and my Revy it'll take a while. Give a man break. Geez, Plus I'll get Josh a present while I'm at it. Since I'm nice.

I watched some of the uncut version of Kite.

The sex scenes felt thematically unimportant, and rather tacked on.

I hear that the plot is messed up somewhat due to the cuts, and that concerns me a little. However, if it's coherent, then I don't mind if the plot's been changed. People said the same thing about the R-rated version of "Ichi the Killer" but I thought it made plenty sense, and only saw differences in the violence in the uncut version.

Ichi The Killer is totally untouched plotwise in its censored form, indeed.

Urotsukidoji's edits do cause some plot points to be glossed over/ignored/totally left out, but you can still get the gist of the story without going "Gee, what the fuck is this shit?" every five minutes.

Also, I have the same question regarding the heavily cut 45-minute version of "Kite".

The edited version of Kite is totally coherent.

Just not good.

Mezzo Forte and to a lesser extent Mezzo DSA are the non-hentai Yasuomi Umetsu productions worth watching.

Kite is just like a blatant rip-off of every Luc Besson film ever.

I like a little variety in my life. I can't just watch one type of show from one type of country. I want to watch it all.

I had obtained a bunch of Shin Chan a little while ago and spent a lot of time watching it, but I'm getting kind of bummed out now because I'm almost out of episodes to watch.

I got most of the first season of Lupin III. I have not yet watched any of the episodes, but I saw the openings. I laughed. Well, at least the second season had awesome music.

And welcome back, Kuro.

Alright, thanks for the info. I'll stop watching all anime now, thanks to you. I'm sure that happens every time you tell somebody anime sucks, right?

Watching re-runs still keeps a smile on my face, but I crave more.

Yeah, the opening theme is a bit weak on the lyrics side of things...

But I assure you, the episodes themselves do not disappoint.

I felt in the mood for an anime series with high production values, so the first thing that popped into my mind was Kyoto Animation.

This led me to watching the first episode of Air.

Is it possible to die of a moe overdose?

Other than that, so far I am enjoying it.

Oh yes, it is.

Too much moe causes one's grip on reality to shatter, thus slowly killing the brain like the syphillitic horror it is.

Well from what I can gather, the series has every single attractive anime girl stereotype.

The cheerful, clumsy girl (inc. silly phrases).
The outgoing, energetic, strange girl.
The quiet, smart girl.

It's basically The Melancholy again, in a sense.

That explains a lot about you there, Gary. Clearly you have a highly progressed case, and the inly cure is amputation at the neck.

Also, I find this site very boring now. Is this normal?

Maybe it's because my computer hates running for more than an hour and likes to restart whenever it feels like, or it loves to freeze up constantly or dislikes running flash and video files but other than that my statement stands.

Random encounters shall be quite random and vary in time.

I'm still having a little trouble rebuilding my anime theme playlist. I don't know if I should start it alphabetically by series or just try to put it back the way it was, and all I truly remember is that I always started it out with Cowboy Bebop's opening theme, Tank. If anyone wants to see my extensive list of songs, I can PM them; I just don't think it would be right to post it here (it feels a little spammy)

And it's all Judau's fault for rejecting a healthy 21 year old Commander of Neo Zeon the First.

And what did Judau do afterwards? Follow the Jupitris Fleet and came back as a badass old man in Crossbone AND V Gundam.

Judau is a flexible man. He has both Ple Clones, Elle, Roux, Chara, Haman and even his own sister Reina but nooo...

Why he went for Roux instead of Haman despite Haman's clear advantage is beyond me.
Maybe Judau doesn't like big hair? That, or he doesn't like powerful women.

Wait when you mean V Gundam, you mean Victory Gundam right? Whoa, if so i never knew he showed up there.

Yes.
He was proven to have appeared in both Crossbone Gundam and V Gundam though under a different name. The evidence is that under his apparent MS is the ZZ Gundam itself.

I personally think it's her healthy appearance that is attractive. She is likely a Tsundere too.

Was he like Amuro in zeta where he was around for a few episodes? Or was it just a one episode thing?

I don't have the full details, he only appeared in the Manga but because those events were like a side story, it's considered part of the story's Canon.

I still have not even completed Sousei no Aquarion, You're Under Arrest! FULL THROTTLE, Layzner, Dragonar, Guyver (OVA), Mellowlink or even Mahoromatic 2nd Season.

And yes; I have become more craving for Hard Science/Military than simply Mecha.
