I went into the comic book store yesterday, and discovered something.

Manga have doubled in price since I last went in there.

They're like 25-30 NZD, which is bloody ridiculous.

I also noticed that the store's stock has also doubled.

I was quite impressed with its reasonably extensive yaoi section, though.

Well definatly I gotta say my 5 fav are:

1) Chrono Crusade... Saddest ending of any anime ever, eh? Cos-played as Chrono one time (no pics on this computer, remind me another time n I'll show you the costume!)

2) PeaceMaker Kurogane... This could have been my favourite, but it is my most recently completed series... Another rather-sad ending. Tetsu & Saya are one of my favourite charector-relationships ever!

3) Fruits Basket... Self Explanitory... Thats just simply the funniest Anime ever! Nothing Beats an Angry version of Kyo!

4) Vampire Knight... Even though they havent released an Anime of it yet (not to my knowledge at least) It is the best... Zero n Yuki are SO ment to be... gotta love a good gory-romance manga!

5) Nausica: Valley of the Wind.... While I thought the manga was MUCH better... the Anime still had its flare. A good Action-drama. A true Studio Ghibli film at its best.

Other favs include but are not limited to: Excel Saga, Akira, Afro Samurai, Negima, Midori Days & Mar (Havent seen the anime tho, only read Mar's mangas!)

I really dont like anime's that abondon the original story-line of the manga completly... I mean Akira as an example... In the anime They killed of the charectors and changed up the plot after the Volume 1 manga!!!

My Ex-GF got me into it. She was reading and watching all that sorts of stuff. Not the best topic because it brings back unwanted memories, but basically she loaned me her stash from time-to-time.

The Fujiyama Gangster arc is much more story oriented than action oriented.

The OVA's are done in a more "unleashed" style than the other series, and that is what kicks ass about it. The other good thing is that they can make a new movie anytime they want to, and they don't have to put up with that bullshit "once a week" schedule.

In my opinion everyone likes different types of shows. The best way to figure it out is to browse through your list of titles, find one or two names that catch your eye and watch the first 3 or 4 episodes of those shows, if you like them keep watching if you don't remove the name from your list.

I tend to browse the web, and the past pages of this club for anime/manga names. I write the names down on a sheet of paper then I do just that.

Its a good method, I recommend you good people do that if you got a long list of animes/manga you have yet to watch/read. Hell its how I found hellsing, ranma 1/2, berserk, tsubasa chronicles and several other animes/mangas.

And don't discuss having that much anime on your computer, pretend you watch the shows on DVD even if you don't.
