I tried watching Final Fantasy Unlimited, dubbed, and I can already see how bad the voice acting is. I stopped watching the first episode about 10 minutes in. God, what were they thinking? I'm going to watch it not-dubbed, because it was BAD!!!

Watched the first four episodes and FUCK YES, best probability anime ever.

Matt.........i thought FF unlimited was shit, regardless of which voice acting you prefer.

Well, yeah. I already new that. I though I'd get a taste of watching one of the worst animes of all time. So, regardless, I'll watch the whole series thoroughly. But from reading the wikipage Square totally fucked up. One reason why it was bad is that Tetsuya wasn't a character designer, nor was he a directer. As you guys know, Tetsuya was behind Kingdom Hearts, and Advent Children. Both are top notch in my book. Though, the graphics on the people in advent Children was rather scary, because they all had no iris'. So, basically, the only redeeming quality in FFU is the music, I mean, Nobuo Uematsu is a god, they just hired him for the WRONG job.

Sorry that I haven't been active in this Club that much. I'll try to find more time for it.

Anyway, today I got Paprika and the first volume of +Anima at the mall. It's been awhile since I last bought an anime movie (or manga for that matter), so I just went ahead and bought them, anyway. I've yet to watch/read them, however, but I will as soon as possible. I've got an urgent "WATCH IT" from Mendou about Paprika when I commented in his blog, so I assumed it's really good.

So, yeah, I'll leave a response on what I thought of them both after I watch/read them, so expect it by sometime tomorrow. :)

I don't think it ever hit theaters in my neck of the woods (which is odd because Columbus, Ohio is a test market), but Netflix has it on DVD. It's buried in my queue, but I might bump it up to the top; I can't wait to finally see it.

I may be a bit late saying this, but anything by Satoshi Kon is great..particularly Paprika. It has a few great mind-fucks, and is just all around enjoyable. It's pretty obvious that Satoshi Kon is my favorite anime artist :P. There are a few things by him that I haven't seen, but meh. Still working on it.

Yeah, he's probably my favourite anime director.

I've seen all his movies, and Paranoia Agent.

Paranoia Agent is probably the best thing he's done, though the movies are also excellent.

I bought Paprika there, yayyyyy i'm finally part of the cool crowd.

The local Wally-Worlds do not have Paprika.

I'm praying that's a joke.

I greatly regret spending the sixty-something dollars I spent on the two Platinum Collection volumes I own.

The show isn't completely terrible, but it isn't amazing and borders on unwatchable near the end.

Bins and bins of films i saw there. FOR LOW LOW PRICES HURRRRRR.

I've sadly bought all the good bargain shit 'round here.

I guess you can only strike gold eight times before the well dries up.

Odd, they should.

Of course they should, but they don't.

As expected, there anime stock was poor. All i saw was Paprika, DBZ box sets 1 and 2, and Inuyasha box sets.

All our local one has is DBZ boxsets 2 and 3, some FMA and Tsubasa Chronicles.

We gotta hike over to Futureshop for our vastly overpriced Inuyasha fix.

Actually, I believe $89 Canadian dollars is slightly more than $89 American dollars.

Like... $89.2 USD or something.

I like how the US dollar is so low at the moment; it means that I'm able to import things for cheap.

Now if only I took advantage of that...

What else is on your little Netflix list?

My entire first queue and a large part of my second is filled with anime titles. For example, Urusei Yatsura is a 50-disk series, plus the 6 OVA and 6 movies, and that makes up 1/8 of a queue. There's also every Gundam series available on the site, in sequential order; every series I saw and liked on the Anime Network, Toonami, Adult Swim, or the International Channel and their sequels, prequels, and spin offs; the anime versions of the manga in my collection; and series I've heard about but never seen.

Very good, sir.

And BL second barrage is top priority right?

Hell yes.

Amazing fighting scenes or gun fights?

Actually, there's more variety this season.

The Hansel and Gretel arc had some effective (and somewhat disturbing) drama, it manages to stay serious for three episodes with a bare minimum of silliness or cartoony violence.

The Hunt for Greenback Jane, however, was like the action movie 80s-era Hollywood wishes it could have made. It oozes "comic gold" from every pore. Nothing but three episodes of bloodshed, explosions and one-liners.

Now to get ready for Fujiyama Gangster Paradise, the longest (and from what I've heard, most tedious) arc in the series.
