You'd have thought it would be pretty difficult to forget about something that occurs in every single scene in the program.

I might have been so used to the commentary that I forgot there was any.

I have just become depressed instantely by reading a single BBS post, i'm fucking pathetic. No wonder people want me dead.
I'm gonna start posting a lot less from now on unless I have something I really want to discuss or something similar. I wouldn't call this dropping out of the club, just posting a lot less.

Oh, good then. Anyways, I was thinking about asking for some anime for Xmas, any suggestions?
Hmm.. i'm as well, looking for some recommendations. But i'll try to contribute some myself this time.
Since it's Xmas, i'm pretty sure you're looking for some feel-good animes? How about..
Hidamari Sketch
Minami-ke
Aria
I've heard good reviews for those mentioned, so i guess it should be good.
To be honest, I was never a fan of Black Lagoon. But I have been thinking about getting the original Bleach, not the garbage on Cartoon Network.

A break? That is what I need, can't wait till thanks giving. Of course i'll probably spend the whole thing lying at home lying in bed pigging out on food.
Excel saga.
I never knew you watched Excel saga. I love that anime.

I didn't know they released any DVDs. Or are you offering to the manga?

I guess the manga could be better than anything else I'd probably find.

The karakura town ark is better in the manga, soul society ark better in the anime, the arrancar ark the anime and manga are about the same, the very end of the of the arrancar ark the msng is much better and its still to early in the huceom undeo ark to decide which is better.
Thats all i'm saying about the topic in here, if you want to get into more detail go post in the bleach club.

Hell Girl.
I remember reading about it and thinking "Wow, that's one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard for a television show".
To be fair, I don't know much about it other than it involves a website that can only be accessed at midnight by someone who's really pissed off at someone else, and at that website they can get a girl to take the person they hate off to hell, on the condition that they go to hell. It may be better than I envision it.
Reminds me of Death Note now, but as I heard about Hell Girl before Death Note, I suppose it'd be better to say that Death Note reminds me of it.

Currently on the 13th episode of Hokuto No Ken (Fist of The North Star), I love it so much that I decided to do a little fan art; expect it soon.

Don't bother, Bleach gets just as dull in the uncut Japanese and/or original manga format.

God, don't get me started. Also, to go off into a tangent; NOT EVERY DUBBED ANIME SUCKS ASS, THOSE WHO BELIEVE THIS ARE WAP FAGGOTS! Oh Gary, sex please, unless you're currently impotent at the moment.

I KNOW!
I seriously cannot see how Black Lagoon can be seen as any less than very good (if not excellent).
Sure, there's a few weak points to it (Revy has no emotional depth whatsoever, she's just there to chew scenery, shoot people and look sexy), but it stands out to me as the best anime of 2007.

As I've said myself many times, Mattykins.
Plus, some dubs are downright better than the original Japanese version.
Black Jack in particular was much better in English, since Kirk Thornton is actually capable of showing more emotions than anger (unlike Akio "Only works as Solid Snake or another gun-toting heavy" Otsuka).
(Translation: MSN now, unless if you're MSN is totally fucked, then you know where to be.)
It's not the MSN that's fucked.
Just my laptop.
I may be on later, so keep watch.

Its one of those things that sparked a fad in Japan. One of the top 10 animes showing in Japan.

Yeah, generally the whole idea of the series. But each episode shows a story of different people, each with different kinds of grudges. Some are very saddening (like the girl who sent her mother to hell) and some are quite gay and obvious (school grudges) Each episode varies. some suck and some are very nice.
Reminds me of Death Note now, but as I heard about Hell Girl before Death Note, I suppose it'd be better to say that Death Note reminds me of it.
People love thrillers for a change intsead of those typical "mecha/fantasy" anime.
Sanctuary
I apologize, but it just never caught my eye. I was thinking about getting the original Dragon Ball on DVD though. Prolly my favorite anime series ever.

Perhaps some people don't like ridiculous, over the top violent action cartoons?
Then again, I enjoyed the second season more than the first, when the series decided to be all out ridiculous.

Second Barrage is like the over-the-top action flick 80s-era Hollywood wishes it had the genius to produce.

You'd have thought that the whole Hansel and Gretel arc would be a little difficult to get away with in 80's Hollywood.
And ridiculously difficult to get actors for.

Not completely true, the decade did breed some pretty boundary-pushing stuff (Cruising, for example, which was controversial for like a billion years).
And ridiculously difficult to get actors for.
Yeah, that would have been pretty damn tough...
I can see the casting call now...
Sorta spoilers...
LOOKING FOR TWO TWINS, MALE/FEMALE FOR ROLE AS INCESTUOUS SERIAL KILLERS IN FILM ABOUT PAEDO SNUFF PORN AND PIRATES

Yeah, but that's just because the movie had a hate for gay people.
It's just about a guy killing gay people for no reason.
I don't think that would quite compare with *spoilers* two kids who have been forced to star in snuff films in which they're raped, and have to kill other children, going insane and killing people because they think it will make them live forever. Taste would definitely be called into question if it wasn't done right.

Not even that.
They'd have to both be androgynous enough for nobody to be able to tell if either of them are male or female (which is quite simple in anime).

Fuck, can anybody NOT mention anything that's already been seen a million times already?! Plus I would be backing out on my own word if I say Berserk or Gundam 00, but no. Go see Seto No Hanayome, Romeo X Juliet, or even Minami-ke.
Also from this point on now, I'm the Governer of the Anime Club. That's two ranks below Gendo and Wonko or Xerxes or whatever gets up his fuckstick.

I'm going to pursue Romeo's Blue Skies. I'm pretty sure that it hasn't been mentioned before.
Also, today was the first time I've ever been to Blockbuster. I was browsing the used DVD rack out of boredom, when I see the name of a series that I'm sure I heard from /m/. I ended up purchasing Getter Robot Armageddon Resurrection. I was gonna rent New Fist of The North Star, but you guys said that it wasn't worth watching, so I'll rent it at a later date. Might also rent Tekkonkinkreet as well.
Ah, Blockbuster. You have improved the quality of my life.

The title reminds me of that shitpile as well, but I assure you, it's quite a good series.
IF ONLY SOMEONE WOULD FUCKING LICENSE IT ALREADY
I was sorely tempted last night folks. I went to my local DVD store thingy and I saw the complete first season of Baki the Grappler on sale for really cheap. I could not bring myself to buy it at that moment because I needed to get something else.
It will be mine though.
