To be honest, I was never a fan of Black Lagoon. But I have been thinking about getting the original Bleach, not the garbage on Cartoon Network.

The karakura town ark is better in the manga, soul society ark better in the anime, the arrancar ark the anime and manga are about the same, the very end of the of the arrancar ark the msng is much better and its still to early in the huceom undeo ark to decide which is better.

Sure, there's a few weak points to it (Revy has no emotional depth whatsoever, she's just there to chew scenery, shoot people and look sexy), but it stands out to me as the best anime of 2007.

As I've said myself many times, Mattykins.

Plus, some dubs are downright better than the original Japanese version.

Black Jack in particular was much better in English, since Kirk Thornton is actually capable of showing more emotions than anger (unlike Akio "Only works as Solid Snake or another gun-toting heavy" Otsuka).

Its one of those things that sparked a fad in Japan. One of the top 10 animes showing in Japan.

Yeah, generally the whole idea of the series. But each episode shows a story of different people, each with different kinds of grudges. Some are very saddening (like the girl who sent her mother to hell) and some are quite gay and obvious (school grudges) Each episode varies. some suck and some are very nice.

Reminds me of Death Note now, but as I heard about Hell Girl before Death Note, I suppose it'd be better to say that Death Note reminds me of it.

People love thrillers for a change intsead of those typical "mecha/fantasy" anime.

Not completely true, the decade did breed some pretty boundary-pushing stuff (Cruising, for example, which was controversial for like a billion years).

Yeah, but that's just because the movie had a hate for gay people.

It's just about a guy killing gay people for no reason.

I don't think that would quite compare with *spoilers* two kids who have been forced to star in snuff films in which they're raped, and have to kill other children, going insane and killing people because they think it will make them live forever. Taste would definitely be called into question if it wasn't done right.

I'm going to pursue Romeo's Blue Skies. I'm pretty sure that it hasn't been mentioned before.

Also, today was the first time I've ever been to Blockbuster. I was browsing the used DVD rack out of boredom, when I see the name of a series that I'm sure I heard from /m/. I ended up purchasing Getter Robot Armageddon Resurrection. I was gonna rent New Fist of The North Star, but you guys said that it wasn't worth watching, so I'll rent it at a later date. Might also rent Tekkonkinkreet as well.

I was sorely tempted last night folks. I went to my local DVD store thingy and I saw the complete first season of Baki the Grappler on sale for really cheap. I could not bring myself to buy it at that moment because I needed to get something else.
