I never found it to be that funny, sure parts me smile or giggle a little but all the jokes were pretty much the same and were very overused. Plus it disgusted me that almost every joke made was perverted in some way. The only truely epic bit of comeady in my opinion was when haruhi black mailed the computer club for a computer. I found it rather interesting though, but if I could add whatever I want to that anime I would do it like this;
After chronological episode 6 or so when kyon helps haruhi gain control with herself in her inner world and kyon saves the world kyon never tells haruhi about what she is and about the other memebers of her club. After several seemingly pointless episodes(Chronological episode 7 - 14 in the main series) haruhi is, surprise surprise, bored again. So she throws a party at the school(Sort of like a middle school dance.) and invites every student and teacher she finds. Unfourantly only 1/8 of the peopel she invited showed up, but this didn't phase haruhi much. While haruhi was orignally handing out invitations you see this one girl who is being picked on relentlessly by some bullies at school, this girl happens to have no friends and when haruhi comes to aid her by telling the bullies to piss off and giving the girl a invitation the girl tears up she is so happy, takes the invitation and runs into the bathroom. However the bullies overheard, anyway back to the dance. All the bullies show up at the dance just to pick on this one girl and haruhi sees, haruhi tries to get the bullies to go away but they just go to the otherside of the party laughing. Haruhi leaves her and tells Kyon to go dance with her and cheer her up, after some haruhi persuasion Kyon agrees. Kyon and the girl have a great time and haruhi is happy to see the girl happy, then she starts getting jealous and starts trying to get kyon to dance with her. None of the things she tried worked though. Haruhi gets frustrated and storms off to sit down in the corner of the room, she then sees the bullies in the nex room over raising a full huge bowl of punch over the wall and onto the raughters of the main dance room. Haruhi tries to stop them and gets punched in the face. She goes back into the dance room and tries to get kyon but is unsucessful, she sees the bowl of punch up on the ceiling hanging from a couple of ropes. Haruhi looks down and sees the girl and kyon dancing directly below as the ropes start snapping and breaking, haruhi runs and oushes kyon and the girl out of the way just as the punch is released. Haruhi gets drenched and is upset and looks around for help but the vast majority of the students there are laughing, she looks at kyon saying "Well? Aren't you going to help me?" and kyon respondes by going "How? Do you want me to fetch a half a dozen towels from no where?" Haruhi gets angry and runs out of the place fuming mad, the girl kisses kyon on the cheek and thanks him and tells him to go help her. Both the girl and kyon leave feeling great regret about what happened. For the next few weeks haruhi is being made fun of in the halls, and not the initial girl.
Being fed up haruhi prayes that people stop making fun of her and a lot of people join her club. People then all of a sudden stop making fun of haruhi and 20 - 30 normal people join the club as well as the girl from the dance. A few cheerleaders, jocks, geeks, nerds, emos, generic teenagers(None of these 20 -30 new memebers are supernatural) and after several episodes of these new 20 - 30 memebers wrapping up basic mysteries and such haruhi gets tired of all these new memebers solving all the mysteries in one or two days each so she wishes that the number of memebers both decreases and their is a mystery so complex and so huge it would last several months without cease and will test all the memebers very wit, cunning, intellegence, instinct, strength, etc. She gets what she wants, one by one over the course of a few months the memebers of the club are murdered by a unknown killer. It uses tons of clues and such and you watch as they try and figure out the murder, and whenever it looks like they've figured out the killer the suspected killer is murdered or shows us one of the other memebers being murdered while the suspected is doing something else somehwere else. Eventually when only kyon, haruhi, the three supernaturals and 4 - 7 of the orignal 20 - 30 new memebers are still alive the true murder is revealed, and it turns out the murder is really a super natural him/herself. He/she is killed in a fight of some sort between him/her and kyon. Everything is wrapped up then Kyon and the three supernaturals explain everything about haruhi being god to haruhi herself and the few surviving normal memebers.
The end, if this was how haruhi s was set up after episode 6 chronologically what would you rate this on a scale from 1 - 10 all in all? Also if this was there woudl still be jokes of course, just its hard to include what they would be and the situations they come from in that description.
