Remember, thirteen twists makes the knot!
So, is that for the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series? Or something else? Sorry, not good with companies.

It spells the end of Black Lagoon and Hellsing Ultimate (my two favourite recent series) as well as countless others.

Song of the Day: Komm Susser Tod
I know, I know I've let you down
I've been a fool to myself
I thought that I could
live for no one else
But now through all the hurt & pain
It's time for me to respect
the ones you love
mean more than anything
So with sadness in my heart
(I) feel the best thing I could do
is end it all
and leave forever
what's done is done it feels so bad
what once was happy now is sad
I'll never love again
my world is ending
I wish that I could turn back time
cos now the guilt is all mine
can't live without
the trust from those you love
I know we can't forget the past
you can't forget love & pride
because of that, it's killing me inside
It all returns to nothing, it all comes
tumbling down. tumbling down.
tumbling down
It all returns to nothing, I just keep
letting me down, letting me down,
letting me down
In my heart of hearts
I know that I could never love again
I've lost everything
everything
everything that matters to me,
matters in this world
I wish that I could turn back time
cos now the guilt is all mine
can't live without
the trust from those you love
I know we can't forget the past
you can't forget love & pride
because of that, it's killing me inside
It all returns to nothing, it all comes

Well that just sucks. Well, we always have the original Japanese versions, via imports and...other means. Who knows though, maybe it'll get picked back up again...though I doubt it.
My brain is fried atm, so sorry if I'm still not getting it XD it just feels like I'm not.
Man, tonight is just not my night....
I also just realized the Video Girl Ai OVA series is long out of print, and being a fan of the manga (and Nav Katze, who composed the series' amazing score), I somehow came to the decision that I needed it like soulblood. There are only VHS and Laserdisc (!) copies on eBay, and the least expensive DVD copy available on the internet is $59.97 USD (and that one's used, for fuck's sake).
Maybe I should quit the whole "otaku" thing...it's leaving me jaded, upset and broke.

That's a bit of an off statement.
Death Note is an okay series.
It started off well, but then fizzled out about halfway through when the characters got all screwed up, and the motives of them seemed to disappear.
After then it began to be a chore for me to watch, and thus I still haven't bothered to finish it.

You can say that again....

I gave up around 18 episodes in, then decided to watch a bit of the later episodes, only to end up intensely disappointed.
I finished the manga, and did not really enjoy it. The later volumes die a pathetic, silly death under the weight of ridiculous plot devices and bloated characters (Light's ludicrous egotism gets old....fast).

It was rather strange.
After a short while I began to watch the series only because L seemed like an interesting character, but the constant delving into his mind, showing us exactly what he's thinking and what he's planning, and also pointing out all of his flaws kind of killed that.
He's like a far less awesome Batman, only Batman actually gets the job done (and the people he chases are far better villains).
Kuro - Puting the 'Kur' back in 'inkurable disease.'
Actually what animes out here are like fma and not too cheesey or romantic or stupid?

Yep.
His constant second-guessing (even when he was right) got annoying.

That's for damn sure, Light Yagami has nothing on the Joker, or even Two-Face.
Also, Kaiyodo's Revoltech brand has done it again....pure genius.
I'm pre-ordering it as we speak.

Shitsux, yo.

There doesn't seem to be any known English release of that special, it's only available in France, Japan, Italy and Spain.

Hellsing, Drifting Classroom, Doomed Megalopolis, Orochi: Blood, etc.

It is, Geneon has pretty much doomed themselves...
Also, now that I've pre-ordered Yotsuba, I'm dying to pre-order Kaiyodo's 1/8 scale Fuka (although none of the shops can agree on its release date, Hobby Link Japan says November, Anime Nano says New Year's Eve).

Sure thing...
1. Five favourite animes and a sentence or two about each.
2. What kind of anime do you dislike?
3. What got you into anime?

It's Lord of the Flies, TO THE EXTREME!
Though I've only been able to find the first two books.
Azumanga Drifting Classroom was somewhat entertaining nevertheless.

So I was watching Trigun the other day, and I noticed something. You ever wonder how heavy Vash's gun must be?
I picture that gun weighing like 5 pounds.
Hooray, Darker than Black got licensed!
Now to wait until spring of next year...
LOOK OUT NEGROES! IT'S THE 50, 000th post in Anime Club. Here's to another 50, 000; that'll be the day we eventually grow out of Newgrounds.
Also, Nia-Chan in Gurren Lagann is too fucking cute for her own good. I know Gainax is finally trying to get the moe aspects, but Jesus, this it giving me a nosebleed, and a hard on. Also 14 episodes in, and they haven't fucked it up yet. Cheers Gainax, you whores.

Hahaha, one day....ONE DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!
I actually can't see myself "outgrowing" Newgrounds, I thrive on the immature flame wars and occassioanl fun/intelligent discussions. Even if I stop posting regularly, I'd still make a point of popping by from time to time.

I'm sure that number would be all the more significant to me, if I had joined this club at the start.
Otherwise it just shows me a bunch of other people have posted in this club in the past few years.

I do not believe that.

Hmm, makes tons of sense.

Ha, I think that's the case for all of us. But still, I think you can name more than 3, right?
Hello there, this is what appears to be my overdue 1st post in the Clubs and Crews section. What better way to use it than to ask for membership in the Anime Club?
Here are my five favorite animes.
1. Fullmetal Alchemist. I enjoyed the anime because alternate take on the industrial revolution was very appealing to me. Also, the characters drew me in without seeming cliche. I read the manga up until book 9 or 10, then I decided to move on to better things.
2. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. At first, I wasn't too impressed. The 6th episode almost threw me off the series. However, an e-buddy begged me to continue watching it, and I did. Now, I eagerly await episode 26. I continued watching the series because something epic and groundbreaking happens in pretty much every episode. It's fast paced, and we get to see Simon grow from a young boy lacking confidence to a man who's spirit makes the heavens tremble with fear.
3. Akira. A film based off of an epic manga (although I haven't read it yet). Akira is so, so awesome. Admittedly, I have only seen it once, but it had such a lasting impression on me that I just had to list it here. Tetsuo was such an enigma to himself and others, and Kaneda was there, every step of the way, trying desperately to rescue him (while getting the girl, too...).
4. Ultimate Muscle. This is the series that got me into anime, even more so than Pokemon, Medabots, Digimon, or Yu-Gi-Oh. It was so funny, and the characters were zany and off the wall. The wrestling portion was cool too, albeit kind of slow paced. I want to read the manga someday, or perhaps watch a subbed version, since I've heard that the 4kids dub does not do the series justice.
5. NANA. I have watched the anime, the 1st movie (I heard that the 2nd was a load of crock), and am starting to read the manga. I originally did not feel like pursuing this series, but then a friend lent me a copy of the first few manga books, and I enjoyed it, but felt that reading a manga that focuses somewhat on music was silly, so I stopped reading it. I watched the anime instead, and I was hooked from there. I enjoyed it due to the unique art direction, the music, and the ever-changing situations thrust at both Nanas, as they overcome obstacles together.
I dislike anime that revolves around it's main gimmick too much for it's own good. Examples are Naruto, where everyone "wannsa b teh gr8st ninj4 EVAR OLOLOLool", and Pokemon, where "evry1 gotz pokeMANS n battles to be teh g8est mastR EVAR OLOLolol".
Like I said above, shows like Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Medabots, and Ultimate Muscle got me into anime. They were so appealing, compared to the American cartoons that were on the air at the time (Although, I do enjoy things like Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, and the multiple incarnations of the Batman series, not to mention comedy shows such as Metalocalypse, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and Family Guy).
Anyways, as you can tell from my list of favorite series, I'm fairly new to anime. I am applying to this group so that I can learn of potential anime series that I can enjoy. Thanks for reading this application. Now, I must pierce the heavens with my drill...or sleep, whichever one is easier.
