I'm not sexually attracted to cartoon characters, if that's what you mean. I just like Japanese cartoons. I don't have to get off on it to like it.

If you watch or read hentai, for shame.

I don't like hentai, but I don't think there's anything wrong with people liking it.

Alternatively, it can just be plain funny even if its content warrants a "Not sure if I want".

Trigun is a good series, but the problem is that it has the capacity to be great.

They stick far too much to that 'silly' type of humour with the irritating voices and the stupid facial expressions, which gets quite annoying.

It has a pretty cool idea, some sort of interesting 'bad guys', and a pretty cool character design on Vash, and that guy who is almost exactly like Spike, but it's entirely let down by its random 'funny' interludes.

*Spoilers*

Also, I don't particularly like how quickly Knives was introduced.

It has Legato as this somewhat cool, Sephiroth-esque main villain, and then just randomly puts in another higher up villain.

I found that annoying because Knives is a lot less cool.

I had such a good impression of it after watching the first few episodes for the first time. I was expecting it to have it conclude with the kind of ending good enough to stand up from my seat shouting "WHOOOOOOOO!", but the last few episodes just didn't have the flare I wanted.

They stick far too much to that 'silly' type of humour with the irritating voices and the stupid facial expressions, which gets quite annoying.

Debatable, since it completely lacked in terms of humor in the later episodes much like how the first airing of Evangelion went from "refreshing comedy and suspense drama" to "angst angst angst with no progress".

In short, it just wasn't spread out well to keep a series good to watch.

It has a pretty cool idea, some sort of interesting 'bad guys', and a pretty cool character design on Vash, and that guy who is almost exactly like Spike, but it's entirely let down by its random 'funny' interludes.

Not to mention the enigmatic aura around Legato Bluesummers as a 'messenger' of Knives.

It has Legato as this somewhat cool, Sephiroth-esque main villain, and then just randomly puts in another higher up villain.

Exactly, it seemed to me that Legato could have just backstabbed Knives and confronted Vash himself in a dramatic standoff.

I found that annoying because Knives is a lot less cool.

More like a disgruntled little brother that has a petty score to settle.

I never said it should have no humour at all.

Look at Cowboy Bebop or something, that has serious bits, with humour as well, without having to conform to generic super deformed (or whatever it's called) humour.

I just found myself enjoying the parts where it tried to be serious a lot more.

Also spoilers.

I sort of liked the ending of Trigun, until I found out that Knives didn't die.

That disappointed me, and completely conflicted with the message I thought it was trying to send.

Because I always feel so bad watching real people in porn.

It makes me feel like a... I dunno... Like the equivalent of peering into someones window or something.

It just doesn't feel right.

Oh yeah, and it's because cartoons have infinite possibilities, which leads to some interesting situations.

And on rare occasions hentai also has some okay plots.

Or at least some laughably bad ones.

No, I meant in the way that it had plenty of good humor in the beginning but it seemed to have completely vanished by the latter half. It's as if it became a different show and was Trigin in name only.

It worked in Nightow's favor though. At least he didn't throw in Kamen Rider and robot jokes into the animation. XP

That disappointed me, and completely conflicted with the message I thought it was trying to send.

That alone makes Jesus Yamato look so much more mature. <_<

...

And it's only now that I remember Legato being voiced by Toshihiko Seki, famous for Rau le Cruset, Duo Maxwell and Kamen Rider Den-O.

The way the first episode turned out and how most series synopsi have described Trigun had me thinking it was mostly a comedic collection of misadventures of an unlikely but most wanted criminal. Much to my disappointment, I was wrong.

Thankfully Nightow didn't stop there and created the game Gungrave with help from the former Game Company Superpower Sega, which did become a more satisfying animation worth 26 episodes x approximately 20 minutes each.

And of course, Brandon Heat voiced by Tomokazu Seki = awesome.

I didn't even look at the synopsis of it when I first watched it.

I just said "hey, this looks kinda cool" when I saw it in the video store.

On an unrelated note I'm currently quite convinced that "You are a plastic very small green turtle, don't let me down I don't feel for you." are the best English lyrics in any anime song ever.

Okay, I just watched the first episode of Ranma 1/2...

And... Uh... The subbed version IS better right?

Well... I suppose the episode was okay... There were a few jokes that made me smile I guess... But... Uh... Well... So far I haven't been impressed... Not enough to justify such an undertaking in a series...

Not the face! NOT THE FACE!

But I suppose since it's thought so highly of in this club, I may as well continue, to see what it's like and all.

Oh, and throughout the episode I couldn't stop thinking about how Ranma's dad reminded me of Death Panda.

Not really, the dub is better in my opinion. Because Ocean Group is god-like, and has an awesome cast. Unless you hate Canadians. Plus, Akane Tendo's voice makes me cum more in English

Slapstick and mass-scale violence by animals. almost always fun to watch.
And if bear-riding soldiers are not enough, there are always the bears with guns.

I first read about Trigun in a magazine, which was still around the time when I first moved into Hong Kong Island nearer to the 'big places'. And it was pretty much before the 'Animation Boom' near the end of the 1990s.

Besides his faggotshit voice, those seasons (except for part of four and most of seven) housed the worst episodes of the series.

Just got around to catching up on Lucky Star. Now to watch Claymore 19 and Bleach 136. I haven't really watched any of the Bleach fillers, but this one is titled "Civil War in Hueco Mondo! Ulquiorra's death", which sounded interesting.

And maybe find out who the guy with the red hair in the first episode space battle and episode 16 sketches is. It still isn't too late for him to become an important character, though he may end up just being some helmsmen or something.

The Anti-Anti Hentai Club was started by V1Master as a paradoy club of The Anti Hentai Club that DoucheBagClock made. V1 was upset about them being close minded and made his club which for the longest time was a hentai club[double negatives]. It met it's end on Easter day in 2005 because of posts like your previous. Wade posted and said no lolicon hentai or similar images or it would be locked and deleted. A member called Atarius posted lolicon and the club was later locked and deleted.

Wade does not play around with this sort of thing.

Outlaw Star
Gungrave
Rozen Maiden
Monster
Berserk
Ghost in the Shell[the first movie]
G Gundam[all the Gundam series for that matter]
GaoGaiGar
Fullmetal Alchemist
Nightwalker
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

Basically parasites are told by a voice[guess you could say God]to clean up the Earth. They do so by invading humans and killing them by eating them and such. But, if they don't invade and take over the brain then they can't control their host body but only the part they invaded. Needless to say it's pretty awesome but gorey at times too.

Reminds me of The Thing, where peoples' heads suddenly open and become mouths or their stomachs open up right when someone is going to use a defibrillator and bites the guy's hands off.

Creepy, paranoid movie.

Well the Bleach filler wasn't too bad. It did bring up a valid point, about how the hollows would react to suddenly being ruled by a Shinigami (not kindly). So a group of dissenters take the hougyoku and go to find Urahara, who made it and thus knows how it works.

Backstab attack for double damage!

But yeah, if Parasyte was turned into an anime that would be awesome. Tokyopop got license of it and printed all ten volumes[I think]but then discontinued print and it's very scarce to find a Tokyopop printing of it[Guess how I read it]. Del Rye picked it up but is starting from the beginning.
