Debatable, since it completely lacked in terms of humor in the later episodes much like how the first airing of Evangelion went from "refreshing comedy and suspense drama" to "angst angst angst with no progress".
I never said it should have no humour at all.
Look at Cowboy Bebop or something, that has serious bits, with humour as well, without having to conform to generic super deformed (or whatever it's called) humour.
I just found myself enjoying the parts where it tried to be serious a lot more.
Also spoilers.
I sort of liked the ending of Trigun, until I found out that Knives didn't die.
That disappointed me, and completely conflicted with the message I thought it was trying to send.

Quick question.
Why are people attracted to anime? They're frikkin' cartoons! If you watch or read hentai, for shame.
Because I always feel so bad watching real people in porn.
It makes me feel like a... I dunno... Like the equivalent of peering into someones window or something.
It just doesn't feel right.
Oh yeah, and it's because cartoons have infinite possibilities, which leads to some interesting situations.
And on rare occasions hentai also has some okay plots.
Or at least some laughably bad ones.
