Well, depends on what's your genre preference. But, as always I recommend Ranma 1/2 comedy/action series with some of the best voice acting for a series (see Akane Tendo), and awesome soundtrack too boot.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (if you haven't seen it already, because almost everyone has). Lupin the 3rd, classic series about the grandson of legendary thief Arsene Lupin, who has pretty much followed in his footsteps. Also, my personal favourite anime Nana. Basically a story normally directed for girls, buthas an awesome storyline both men and women can enjoy. If you're into drama series.

If you like mech series, ask Harofreak, since he's seen more robot, on robot action than anyone else here.

Berserk- Epic story and great characters. And lots of violence

Cowboy Bebop- Do I really need a reason?

Outlaw Star- Gene Starwind id just so damn cool

Bio Hunter- Very unheard of anime film, but well worth watching
