I saw someone mention Shin Chan a while back and I'd like to comment. Shin Chan for me is a complete hit-and-miss show. There are nights when that show is fucking awesome and then there are nights where I can't even watch 5 minutes.
I dunno why though.
Fuu.
I just got back from the convention and it was certainly worth dressing up for (no long lines for admission FTW). China and Hong Kong has progressed pretty well in terms of dubbing work into cantonese and some into mandarin.
They really need a LOT of work when it comes to what they have on-stage for singing though. Sure, they're no JAM Project with Kageyama or AniKING as the main singers, but does it hurt sales that much to have people who can actually sing and not squeak into the microphone? <.<
I would be writing a more detailed review with images in a week's time.

Just the differences in culture which you can only partly relate to whereas some parts are enjoyable to watch as Shinosuke wrecks their home just to kill a fly Action-Kamen style.

I believe it's the equivalent of a DVD-back synopsis.
Though I don't tend to read those anyway.

Actually, the entire contents of Top Secret Folder #3 are pics based on that episode.

Yeah, I've got the same mentality about it.
That said, when it's good, it's really fucking good.
I haven't seen much Shin Chan, but what I saw made me laugh.
I just got DVD volumes 1 and 2 (out of 5) of Fist of the North Star. I'm on episode 3 and it's already quite badass. I have a question, though. Was there originally white blood or is that due to editing?
I wish they would do that month of Miyazaki again. That was awesome! Maybe they could do something similar.
Congratulations on your username change Akatsuki321.

I've seen it on TV and the blood was red.
I don't know why yours would be white other than editing.
nope. I just watched another version with the original opening (no need to mention how I saw it) and it still had white blood. I guess it was in the original.

That's all I needed to know.
I only watch anime that's been dubbed in english, but if I get into it enough, I'll watch the subbed episodes...
Anyway, I just received this game called Okami. Why the fuck didn't I see a commercial for it? This game is awesome. It's a shame that it was overlooked.

Yeah. Gundam VS Zeta Gundam is by far the best out of all of the Gundam games made. Well, maybe aside from Gundam Battle Assualt II, then again not sure since both are just that good. But yeah, Federation VS Zeon was good as well.
FUCK GOD I HATE THIS CURSOR LAG SHIT SPEED
I saw a Gundam SEED game there too that I had never even heard of. Not mentioned on tv or in any magazins at all. I almost ALMOST got it due to only being about $20 but I opted for Dragon Quest VIII, the boxed edition. Also only $20 so yeah...
At 7/26/07 10:28 PM, Mendou wrote: Indeed that one looks great. Not to mention loads of more mobile suits to play as, i saw a video of someone playing that game as the double Zeta gundam, i thought the thing was indestructible either that or it's just really good.
Yeah. ZZ is a BEAST in that game along with Zeta and a lot of other MS. The two I mentioned before hand and MS Saga: A New Dawn are my favorite ones. MS Saga is basically a Gundam RPG chibi style. But what I'm REALLY looking forward to is the Gundam Dynasty Warrior's game. It's basically like the Dynasty Warrior series, fighting style included but with Gundams. I came when I heard about this.

That would rock if JAM Project was there. But maybe they'd rather have more money in their pockets in the end perhaps? One day I plan on going to AWA[AnimeWeekendAtlanta] either just as myself or find me a costume of Char's Zaku II S. I remember reading Anime Insider[years back called Anime Invasion]and it showed one listed for about $1,000. But it had all the bells and whistles to it as well. Shield, heat axe, machine gun and even some crackers too. Not to mention is was a high gloss finish and had a lot of detail into it. Plastic but it was aweomse. I have around $2.5k right now so maybe one day...

Ah you've seen it too. It looks pretty good does it not? I head Crossfire for the PS3 sucked pretty bad which is a real shame. They said it was basically just rushed to be a launch title instead of taking a fem more months and turn it into a monster of a Gundam game.

I bought the game a long while back but never got around to playing it. I'll have to give it a go some day. I've only heard good things about it though so you're in for a good time. But yes, it's a shame that a lot of good games get over looked.
Vagrant Story is my favorite game of all time and hardly anyone has ever heard of it before. Ever. At all. At any time. It bugs the shit out of me too because it's such a great RPG. Chalk it up to poor promotions and released right before the PS2 was launched.

Wasn't Okami the calligraphy game that got number 1 best game of 2005 on G4 awards? I'm pretty sure it wasn't totally overlooked.

It deserved more though. It's still disappointing that such a beautiful game could get less recognition than it deserved.

I've got no idea.
Here it was just playing in the film festival in 2 showings: At 3pm on a Friday, and at 9:30pm on a Saturday.
I started reading reviews of it, and I found it quite funny how half of the bad reviews I found were just the reviewers saying how much they hate anime in general.
"Anime is too unrealistic, I can't like unrealistic films, so I hated this one."
Still, the movie was great, and I quite liked how it randomly likened the internet to dreams.

Well, they did not advertise it because it got so much attention during E3, also it got very good scores from reputable critics.
And to Gendo, Ranma pwns all. Even Ebichu. Hamster< Pig Tailed girl.

Smart choice.
I had the SEED game (got it for $15) and it was so unfairly difficult and unfun. Sold it for $12 about two weeks later.
DQ VIII has been on my must-buy list for too long, I need it.
But what I'm REALLY looking forward to is the Gundam Dynasty Warrior's game. It's basically like the Dynasty Warrior series, fighting style included but with Gundams. I came when I heard about this.
That (along with MGS 4 and RE 5) is the reason I'm gonna upgrade to a next gen system.
The import reviews have been unanimously positive and the game looks totally stunning.
That and I'm a huge Dynasty Warriors fanboy.

You don't need to tell me that, sonny. Seeing as I'm likely NG's most obsessive Rantard.
Ebichu actually has loads of snarky wit and social commentary, hence it's a significantly more intelligent comedy than Ranma, but not necesarily a better series (since Ebichu doesn't have much of a linear story or anything to it other than jokes).

good comedian. AWESOME game. I got stuck in it, though. And I didn't like the stealth missions as Octavius, or whatver his name is.
