Can you even spoil Naruto here.

AND! Just that bit of dialogue doesn't mean that Tobi is Madara...it could mean he has the power of Madara.

The controversy continues. We don't even know for sure at this moment.

Maybe it can be all a ninja skill to mess with the viewers and spawn all kinds of online rumors.

Maybe we underestimated that Kishimoto.
Good Kishimoto, you look like you're hiding some powers.

...

What a haul today, not only did R.O.D came as a set for only $120 HKD, I even found a rare gem drawn by Tooru Fujisawa (sounds familiar?) called "Kamen Teacher". More student beating-up madness mixed with a strong hint of bike-riding Sentai is literally for the win.

It really is quite a predicament.

The best example of an English voice I prefer would probably still be Cowboy Bebop for... Well... Everyone except maybe Ed.

I quite like the voice for Ed in the Japanese version.

The other voices sound horribly out of place on the characters in Japanese.

Because some things just don't work for some languages, even if made by their own people.

Which brings to attention that other countries should be doing their part in animating for their own audiences instead of shitting up to Japan to make it for them. <_<

Excel Saga had an obnoxious dub.

Yeah, lightining quick subs are hard on the eyes and mind.

Much agreed.

Ed was really, really good in the Japanese version (particularly her random little bits of singing), but everyone else was ill-fitting.

Bebop flat-out has the best damn dub ever.

Tell me if this is still the case, but do the dubbers for other languages actually try to force-sing their way into their own language?

Bebop flat-out has the best damn dub ever.

Must have been easier with the target audience.

Now Lucky Star and other culture-heavy animations, I bet there would be hell raised it mismanaged (and easily mismanaged it is unless the original Afureco group hand-picked and managed the multi-language dubbing).

That really depends on whether or not movies are included in this ranking.

Things like Princess Mononooke and Spirited Away had some pretty awesome dubs.

Though I suppose that also depends on whether or not this is based on how much better the dub is than the original language version, or just how good the dub is compared to other anime dubs..

Depends, I've seen some dubs that do it and others that just let the original audio play.

If it's for comedic effect, it's usually dubbed.

I ask because I remember accidentally browsing through the TV channels only to come across the dubbed version of Rockman EXE by Kids' WB.

At that point, they actually tried to forcefully add singing of actual album songs by the dubbers. I'll leave the rest of the mind-burning idea to your imagination.

If it's for comedic effect, it's usually dubbed.

I am yet to hear it get messed up by recent dubbing QUALITY/quality, at the very least.

Which one? Jessica Calvello in season one (eps 1-13), or Larissa Wolcott in season two (eps 14-26)? I heard that Jessica lost her voice because there was so much screaming involved with her lines.

I have no idea where you could download them individually.

As I remember, I think I downloaded them a year or 2 ago in a torrent of all The Seatbelts songs.

Which would clearly explain the fact that I have all the Seatbelts songs on my computer.

What? That's just unheard of. Or maybe it's because Jessica messed up more than the script's full length several times over in such short intervals? <.<

Ah well, just more proof that the person who voiced Sailor Moon, Katsuragi Misato and Murre Ramius isn't just for show.

As an act of kindness I've uploaded both to my Putfile. I don't think any other songs sung by Ed were put onto the CDs.

So in 10 hours from now, the Hong Kong Anicom would begin.

I would be going as a small group with a few who are going in with CosPlay including myself (because according to the organiser, costume = free admission, and what better time to try myself as Black Jack?). Pics would be taken as I go; of group members, other CosPlayers as well as getting some of myself (if that darned hair colour just works better than it does during tests. <.<).

I would put up a brief report as to how the China-Animation booths and displays will have shown their newest 'work' in a week's time as I need to go to Korea for a conference right afterwards.

Of course, stay tuned as I would get back to NG/A/ as soon as everything in front of me is over and done with.

If that was true, then the debate over what "anime" is would get complicated. The first season of Harvey Birdman is Korean anime?

Well of course, but Korea doesn't come up often. Not many anime conferences that the public can attend are there? Too bad anime studios can't have an E3-Song-Microsoft-Nintendo type event, where they talk about the animes that are coming out this year and next year, as well as show off some new stuff...not sure what they could show though. Maybe new animation program/style...

Which just adds to the fact that the basics are always the most important thing, which means it also adds to my argument.

"Anime, pronounced ah-nie-may, is the shorthand name given to the term Animation by the Japanese because it is much easier to put in their words than the common term Cartoon. Unlike western definitions, the term Anime can be used for all forms of cartoons and therefore disregards origin of production or directing body."

If I must, this can even be my PhD thesis in several years' time.

Maybe new animation program/style...

Like you stated, I believe such would only be reserved for software demonstrations. I doubt any self-dignified company would go around advertising techniques and skills used for their own work for free. I know I wouldn't unless it was a classroom lecture for near-graduating university students (even that has pay for me involved so no count).

I just dared to hear how the dubbed (English) version of the Black Jack OVA sounds like and ironically and tragically, only the dark doctors' voices sound wrong as they sounded way too high pitched compared to their usually stoic and schadenfreude nature which has been portrayed perfectly by their original voice actors.

And since neither the first TV Remake nor the 'sequel' has been licensed in the US, I can say that you lot won't be seeing it in stores unless they are imports from Japan. XP

I don't think I have to worry about Fanservice issue with Gainax anyways. I mean they started the jiggle and show plenty of nip. They even made a Beach episode where the hot girl wore MORE clothes than normal...though wearing less would be difficult.

Hey guys, I figured out a major spoiler for naruto. N comes after M, and before M is the letter L. So, as you can clearly see, Sakura is L in drag.
