The only way it wouldn't be a violation is to talk about the ways it should be made into an anime. Sarah could be any strong willed, full figured anime girl. Jareth kind of looks like Dio, but David Bowie would have to do the voice and songs. Make Sir Didymus into a small fox-man warrior and Ambrosius into a large "He-man's Tiger" type wolf. Ludo can be a giant yeti cyborg. The series could be either a light-hearted adventure, comedy, or horror-drama. The Labyrinth itself would be a key character, and if it were more horror-drama type show, then they could use more good characters to be killed or have random Goblins getting killed.

The Helping Hands scene could be a good chance for clothes-ripping fanservice!

Man..Astro Boy is kind of a dark series. Little Kid getting killed, then his father is determined to bring him back through a robotic substitute. Later he sells him to a circus because he just can't replace the real son or something I think. Reminds me of a Twighlight Zone episode. That was a creepy show.

Okay, I just started watching Star Ocean EX again (the anime made about Star Ocean: The Second Story, one of my favourite games ever), and I can tell you:

This is a decent example of how videogame plots don't translate well into other media.

Lots of the stuff you find great in the game doesn't seem to work as well when put into an anime environment.

That being said, it still has a better plot than many other anime's, and it's still better than other videogame anime's I've seen (I'm looking at you Final Fantasy Unlimited).

The writers have done a decent job of it so far, considering a large amount of the game is going from one place to another and fighting monsters along the way with no character interaction, something that needs changing in a show, to make it less boring. Though they did manage to ruin the Mars Village segment, it's still okay.

The characters are a bit of a mixed bag, in a way. For one, they all seem to have been made anime stereotypes, and they changed Rena's character quite alot (making her a hell of alot more defenseless and the like), and Celines character for that matter. But then again, they managed to make the voices a large amount better than in the game, so you don't have to suffer through a bunch of "They were easy" and "It was okay" for ages.

But for an anime that's based on a game with an excellent score, the sound track's terrible for half of it, and extremely boring for the other half. The only good music I've heard on it is Rena's Theme, which was just taken from Star Ocean 2.

I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone who hasn't played Star Ocean: The Second Story, but I suppose it's still better than most of the crap out there, and it does have an interesting plot; just one that works a whole lot better in the game (which I definitely would recommend if you happen to find it and have a ps1 lying about anywhere). But I'm enjoying it well enough, if only for nostalgia purposes.

But one thing that gets me; Opera and Ashton in the same frame? What's up with that?!

Hehehe, I did read the link Sir God-King. But, I wasn't sarcastic when I capitalized the word epic, I was sarcastic in the "e-slang" part. Since Ranma is so fucking awesome, the word epic must be capitalized at all times when associating that series with the word "epic" at all times. The only manga series I own in full is Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.
