I'm expecting the release to be around September this year in cinemas.
I am not sure whether they will be releasing it on DVD quickly, depending on the popularity and the length of the roadshow. Given the information released to public, they would release it on DVD probably three or four months after the roadshow ends.
I do not care whether it gets subbed in one form or another as I do not need them.
You need insider information if you want any more details and no, interrogating me is out of the question.
That's discouraging, I will most likely have to watch it unsubbed then. My Japanese is decent enough to understand the gist of what's going on, but I feel more comfortable watching things subbed.

I'm no Gainax director, mind you.
And just go for the absence of subs. It's... cleaner.

Just for the small details huh.
But it's not like Evangelion as a whole had any 'subtle' text or notes worth remembering.
Though on an unrelated note, Slayers Try did parody episode 23 of Evangelion, down to having Akira Ishida voice the Kaworu parody (though he had a full-time voice casting as Xellos anyway).

I've been learning Japanese for the past few years, and I have to watch everything subbed.
I can understand a few sentences when I concentrate, but it doesn't help me understand what's going on too much. I tend to have to either read the plotline of something first if I'm to watch it without subs, or just watch something that's really easy to understand (like My Neighbour Totoro or something).

There are some animes that I can watch completely unsubbed like bleach, where half the episode is them grunting, I'm sure tons of people who watch anime can do that. On the other hand, there are animes like Gintama that are extremely hard to follow if you don't have a 100% grasp on the language. (Also, I heard that the sub groups semi-butchered the subs to gintama)

I'm sure that it's a problem for anyone, even the Japanese viewers if they do not have subtitles (in their respective mother-tongue or preferred language, of course) for key terminology in more specialised shows like Betterman (Biology/Genetics), Black Jack (Medical) and Death Note (conversation-heavy).
Only when I absolutely need it, I resort to subtitles if I do not know some key terms which are better known than not.

Well of course action-heavy anime's are easy enough to watch unsubbed.
All you need to know is that something is happening to lead up to someone fighting, and then you can work on it from there.
But for the real plot based shows or movies, or the ones that use excessive words they made up for the show and complicated language, I really need subtitles.
And also, I generally prefer to have them anyway, so I can have the full picture of what's going on.

Since choice of character does not matter in the least, why bother, and further still, why bother posting about it?
Hmm can I here your guys opinions on Dennou Coil?

If it has a character like Konata then it would be. She is just a person I can relate to because I see myself as true japanese otaku, I eat pocky and masturbate frequently to games from illusion. I also know a lot of japanese like "desu, kawaii and konichiwa". One day I would like to fuck Konata, if she refused I would have to rape her. I love you Konata.

Ugh....but Lucky Shit is so mercilessly dull and overrated!!!!
I must admit the animation is nice and the Gamers clerks are funny, but the main cast is pure shit.

But seriously, its boring shit. Characters are dull. The actual content makes me drowsy, the effect is multiplied as everyone in the show looks stoned. When konata goes into her rants her voice makes me want to rip my ears off. Clerks are entertaining but not that funny, the only hope for me is for the dad to make his move.

I tried sitting through an episode... I got 8 minutes in and wanted to do two of the following: eat, and dance.
The intro is so catchy, and then they ruin it by talking about food for 5 minutes and somehow its not funny. If they talked about food for five minutes in any other anime (azumanga, haruhi, ranma), it'd totally be epic. But this is just... shit.

There are other good animes coming out now. I hear good things about Darker than Black. Claymore is pretty good. The plot is a little basic: Getting revenge while battling inner demon. But almost all the characters have that inner struggle, and when the demons wins, some cool enemies appear!

Claymore looks interesting, but Darker than Black is meh.
It's about people who have super powers, but they have no emotions. Very emotional anime.
Did you see what I did there?

I couldn't agree more, such trivial crap would probably be lulzy in a series that actually has a plot, but when the long boring conversations are essentially the plot, it doesn't work.
Also, it's worth noting that I posted this in a Chinese restaurant, waiting for my meal.

Obviously you aren't keeping up in the club, since we don't do members lists, or have characters anymore. So "debate" all you want, it's now even more pointless than ever.

Hmm, since I was away, I assume I got you into that epic series of epic. Because I talked about it first. So, do you have anything to say about me?
HAHAHAHA

Since when does Azumanga Daioh have a plot?
