And it is thanks to the time it takes to produce one volume, since it makes the comics more enjoyable with angry Shinji instead of angsty Shinji.

*Minor spoilers*
Not to mention all the over-the-top psuedo-yaoi fanservice in volume 10, and the fact that Gendo has significantly more depth, and that it makes you think without being confusing or too preachy.
*End spoilers*

The improvements are well worth the wait, here's hoping the final volumes will be as consistently awesome as the previous ones.

Kaworu really tries too hard to be funny only to make Shinji his man-bitch every time.

Paper Bag, what?

Pretty much.

Not only that, but he complains far less in the manga.

More specifically, he does not hesitate to voice his opinion (but in a more typical angry teenager way) as much as simply standing still with his head down as shown far too often in the animation.

And from a typical mecha view, it's interesting to see a similar trait (hidden anger) in both Shinji and his EVA-01.

Which reminds me, the manga also has some incredibly impressive mecha combat, Sadamoto's artwork is sheerly amazing.

It's the sheer detail and refined speed lines, aren't they?

If you told me to look for a hint of QUALITY in then, I'll be stumped for a whole day.

...

My next recommendation for all: Air (TV) and Air (Movie).

The TV version had a slow pace at first, and as for the movie... I was moved by the changes and the way it played out right to its different but even better conclusion.

Hell yes, I was wowed by the high level of detail in even the simplest panels.

Quoted for fucking truth.

Guys. I knew it was supposed to be a heart. I just don't like the idea that it is supposed to be one. It doesn't really resemble one. Kind of but not totally.

And like I asked before, has anyone seen the DMC anime?

I never knew he liked strawberry.

I seem to be prone to it only in this club. Really it only happens here. Plus I'm trying to catch up after my brother whored the fucking computer for 6 fucking hours before I could get on once today. He really needs to stop watching anime hours on end. He doesn't even watch the really good stuff. He doesn't even know what Chrono Trigger is! Although he does watch Hellsing.

And can you answer my question?

Response to Anime Club 2007-06-26 18:44:04

Fisished watching the First Season of Death Note 19 episodes of pure win and epic.

Now, as promised, I'll move on to Escaflowne.

No, because I have not seen the series.

Now you must try and choke down the slightly inferior second season.

Yay!

Yes, some of us have. At least me and SenorPresidente have watched it. Go to page 1543 to see a brief talk about it. If you are waiting for someone to say yes so you can talk about it...you could just say what it is you wanted to say about it.

Like asking has anyone seen Sentou Yousei Tasukete! Mave-chan? It's about an Otaku that goes to a convention and accidently gets stuck in a fantasy world with some imagined women fighters, that face the threat of becoming forgotten

or...ending up like this (which SO TOTALLY never happens....):

Yay!

It's not as bad as I remeber it, the concept is original, and intriguing. Not the greatest anime of all time, but still good. I was wrong about Escaflowne, so, i move on to the next episode. Also, it has a bad ending theme, sorry, j-techno doesn't do it for me. Also, I do believe the opening sequence from The Melancholy parodies Escaflowne's opening sequence. Just a bit.

I actually like the ending song Mystic eye's. Well you glad to check it out dude.

Well, I never said you had relatively decent music tastes, but that's my opinion. It's a decent anime actually, i wouldn't call it the greatest, but it's rather good.

With so many exclamation points and overreacting nature of that post.....I'm not sure if there gonna let you in...

Yeah I think I overdid that one. Sry bout dat. Anyways I was reading the posts on Evangelion and I agree. The anime started out with a lot of action but after a few episodes it took on an interrogation approach to every episode. It got really repetitive and really boring. Good manga though.

Great, now my opinion has lowered even more for FORGETTING it despite stating inferior titles first. It would have been different if you did not even know it so Gendo would have something to introduce but nooo...

...

Having gotten my hands and ears on Inori~You Raise me up (Romeo x Juliet OP), I have enjoyed it enough to make it into my PSP (a.k.a. fukken saved). And above all, it's the english version which I enjoyed even more than the original.

And of course, this is a recommendation to everyone.

Tell 'em, Haro.

Faggot gets no points for stating a generic "best anime" after talking about crap series.

Gameplay? About three out of five.

Overall enjoyment? Four and a half.

It's a game you play more for the atmosphere (great music, cutscenes and story) than the action (stuff's slow-paced).
