Oh. Well like I said I was one of the first times I actually was here. As in online.

I guess everyone is just watching the MagiKarp video and waiting for it to end until they post.

Yeah. I had to exit that when I went to the dentist's. I felt like I was so close to the end too!

Ouch, just ouch.

Canadia Land fails at pricing DVDs, some stuff (MPD Psycho boxset = $25?!) is piss-cheap, the rest (Volume two of Popotan = $48.65?! ), erm......not so much.

Another humorous incident, went to two records shops (chainstore, two different locations) one day, each had a copy of The Original Dirty Pair boxset, one store had it for $99, the other $27.99.

I laughed my ass off, but was sadly two dollars short of the required price at the second location.

Agreed, the negativity was uncalled for, especially since the flash was indeed hilarious.

I guess I will too then. Anyways...

Any Animes you guys know of that will be dubbed soon? I appreciate the original subbed versions and all but I prefer hearing my own language being spoken. And did you know they have a DMC anime?

Ugh, I couldn't stand Escaflowne. It basically was a too try hard version of Eva, and also had a pre-Inuyasha mentality. Also, The lead douche character is a fricken angel, the lead girl character is too much of a dyke, and come to think of it, the whole pendent thing rips off Chrono Trigger. Sending a person back to a different time with foreign magic powers is too much like Chrono Trigger. Also, a fucking cat-girl has a boner for the angel douche? GET FUCKING REAL. Also, what was with the uptight prick who kept saying "cheek" after he got slashed in the cheek? What a pussy. Escaflowne was a lame, generic version of Chrono Trigger.

I'm just pissed he dissed one of my all-time favorites, I still think he otherwise has great taste is more awesome than 90% of the population.

Twilight-Knight- Wow, just wow; um my opinion is law, obey it or I'll put you on my death note. . .but first, post a picture, your name, and buy me a death note :D

Gendo- Sorry to upset you honey, but when I first saw Escaflowne, I tried to watch it, but it never captured my attention. Plus I felt that the characters were weak. The storyline was somewhat original, but the personality traits of the characters in my opinion hindered the ability to make me focus on the storyline, and therefore I couldn't stand it as a series.

Pfft Fine, I'll try to watch Escaflowne (after Death Note of course); but if my opinion still hasn't changed, then you can forfiet your godlike status. Also, fact, it's been AGES since I've watched an episode of escaflowne, who knows, i may turn around and like it.

I've been listening to the Yu Yu Hakusho OSTs in the past few days when I can. Kuwabara's theme got me remembering the series and why I love it. I think the best part of the series or at least what I can remember is the Dark World Tournament. Bits after that I never really saw through nor can I remember Sensui or whatever his name was.

Kuwabara is my favorite of the series though. His actions and pride are one thing I like about the character and his sword skills[at times lack there of]are awesome.

Wait...I forgot what the OSTs are...

Can you tell me?

Also, Sensui was that messed up guy with Schizophrenia. And I'm pretty sure he was gay.

Yeah, tall and skinny guy with multiple personalities. I remember Koenma said he was like Yusuke but more powerful. Something about him having seven sides to him. The rest after that saga I forget pretty much all of it.

Time and time, I keep hearing the differences between BGM and OST being almost identical.

...

I was rearranging my music CDs earlier today, and I have found my set of Fullmetal Alchemist OST. What I noticed on the back of Disc 2 is that it said FAOST, which I presume it meant "Fullmetal Alchemist Original Sound Track" in full.

The main point is that Fullmetal Alchemist was shortened to "FA" and not the common "FMA", so for the sake of consistency with the original, I might even end up using the 'canon' abbrievation. Heck, this might even cut some lines loose away from the misconception of FMA/FMP like many newbies are experiencing.

Gendo and TK are right. Escaflowne rocks, you suck.

He does not suck, God-king, he is merely misguided.

So I've been watching more of Claymore. Teresa of the Faint Smile was kick-ass, and those Awakened Ones are shmexy...just the girl ones.

It would be funny if the FAOST was for Shenzhen Faost Co, but I doubt that. Fullmetal Alchemist OST makes sense.

Wow, TV is being mean to animals. With Drawn Together hunting wtih a fully automatic weapon and Halo Needle Gun, then in Reno 911 when a guy tricks the officers into shooting his neighbors dog.

Mediocre TV series, awful movies, excellent manga (plus a fucking kickass spin-off).

The series starts out packed with action, fanservice and a fairly sex-obsessed sense of humor, by the 14th episode, the action and lulz just die away...then it's just a bunch of melodrama and psuedo-intellectual bullshit.

Watch episodes 1-5 for the fun parts, and 21-23 for the smart parts, fuck the rest.

The movies spat all over the fans' expectations and overcompensated the godawful story with loads of brutal violence and some just plain nasty imagery. Not to mention "End of Evangelion" had a horrendous ending and "Death and Rebirth" was the motion picture equivilant of a clipshow.

At 6/26/07 12:52 PM, KermitTheMuppet wrote: Hmm, I was thinking about picking up the manga recently but I only saw the second volume. Does the plot differ from the anime (like fma)?

A wee bit (the anime came first for Evangelion, unlike FMA), and it is a tad bit of an acquired taste (stuff moves slowly, and it's really dialogue-heavy), but is overall far superior to the anime.

Also, read Angelic Days, for it is the best alternate universe spin-off ever.
