That happens to me too.

Well....with every series except Naruto and YYH. YYH was epic. I'll never forget those names (most of them).

I've decided I'll join the Anime Club. Is there anything I should know about? I read the first page and no one answered that one user when he asked if there where any requirements and no one said much.

Oh, and here's a link that I think Haruhi Suzumiya fans might like.

I will admit to having done worse dances. While sober.

Since everyone else seems to like treating this like their own personal blog, I will too. This is my new tattoo. No, it is not the only tattoo I have.

Speaking of names:

Unlike many characters with names in multiple languages, it is a surprise that out of the hundreds of characters in every Gundam universe, only one of them has a proper name written in Kanji. Not even Amuro Ray, Domon Kasshu, or any other character with distinctive Asian origin (Mixed or pure) have ever been addressed with their name in Kanji (not counting Tony Takezaki's parodies).

...

On a different note for those following the voice acting roles of Tomokazu Seki, has anyone noticed that his array of characters voiced ever since 1995 to 2007 has gone from deep-voiced to high-pitched voices as of late? I feel that it has even affected his recent revoicing of Domon Kasshu in Gundam Musou (PS3).

Never got around to seeing it, looks boss, based on a classic doujin from the 90s.

I'll probably buy it sooner or later.

Well I watched Gunbuster and Diebuster. Though Gunbuster was old and not all that great too me, the battles, events, and endings in both series were EPIC! Now I don't usually say something is epic, but those endings were.

GUNBUSTER DIEBUSTER SPOILERS*************************************
**************

At the end of Gunbuster they use a ginormous Black Hole Bomb that destroys an entire galaxy and then the two heroes return to Earth after 12,000 years. And then in Diebuster they almost crash the Earth into the space monster that has used that black hole for power, but then the giant Diebuster stops it and the main girls beat the space monster. The show ends with the Earth making the Welcome Home sign that was at the end of Gunbuster!! So a series made in 2004 ends with the series made in 1988 and 12,000 years in the past.

Fuck yeah!

Yeah, probably best ending of a sequel series. It is very FLCLish, with the art style and the way the characters look.

I was just catching up on the pages I missed when I was out of town. How is the OVA of Kashimashi a paradox? I thought it just continues where the show left off and gives a second ending.

Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the show. A little too melodramatic for me...with the crying and emotions..and not the manly kind. The ending to the show was nice and the OVA was sweet, but the show should have been more funny/less emotional. It was like Fruits Basket, but better...cus of the Yuri and Hazumu's naivety to girlhood.

Now that I watched Gunbuster/Diebuster, I am seeing the similarities with Gurren Lagann (lightning kick!). It would be cool if Gurren was able to beat Gunbuster's record for most enemies destroyed in a single episode. Looking at my last post I was a little off with the black hole. It wasn't the galaxy destroying one that the Diebuster monster used, it was the solar system destroying one.

Lucky Star is funny, though I don't always understand the stuff happening in Lucky Channel. I guess it involves radio/website stuff that isn't shown in the anime.

Hello everyone of the Anime Club. It is I, Ramiel, just stopping by and checking up how far the club has been doing. Some of you might know me, others may not. It feels like ages ago since I was once part of this. Just checking up on the latest anime and must admit that Lucky Star somewhat similar to Azumanga, with reference from different animes such as To Heart, Initial D, and so on. I've been trying to find episodes on Youtube and Dailymotion, sad to say there are limited number of them and some dubbed in another language. I also hate that Youtube is removing anime and favorited amv's from the site due to copyright infringement, making a dent to us hard core anime fans.

I've been busy lately trying to start on my comic and working with AAHC (if some of you remember them). Once again, hello and I'll make another round sometime soon.

Dent? What dent?

Those of us hard-core anime fans buy the anime we watch.

Christ I hate it when people get into the definition of that 'hard core fan' shit. It doesn't matter if you own the series or not but as long as you have the knowledge of 'said series'.

I'm a galactic fan of G Gundam but I do not own the series but have the knowledge to be called 'hard core' which in a sense is a stupid term to use. It's one of the reasons why people hate anime fans at times because they act like such elitist vaginas about anime at times that it pisses people off.

If you're a fan you are a fan. End.

It's not logically a paradox (I was overracting for the sake of humor), but the whole second ending thing annoyed me. THE FIRST ENDING WAS DAMN FINE ENOUGH, WE SHOULD HAVE LEFT IT AT THAT!!!

Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the show. A little too melodramatic for me...with the crying and emotions..and not the manly kind. The manga blows the anime out of the water when it comes to humor over melodrama, big time.

Loads of emotional mumb-jumbo aside, it's still an epic series.

Me - Yeah. I've read the manga of the series lent from a friend and enjoyed it. Made me a fan of the series.
Girl - How can you call yourself a fan of the series if you don't own the manga or the anime!?
Me - Um, because I've read the manga and it made me a fan of the series. Something wrong with that?
Girl - You can't call yourself a fan if you don't OWN the manga of the series. I own BOTH the manga and the anime along with half of the plushes, two t-shirts, the OSTs and all of the figurines.
Me - For your information you elitist cock rag you don't have to own a DAMN thing of ANY series to be a fan of said series. Kill your fucking self.

Fucking lulz.

That is so true, Lord God, how I hate elitists.

I wonder if there are people dense enough to assume ownership of materials related to a series entails fandom, because I can openly say I own merchandise related to series I dislike.

This sounds like half the women I was friends with back in California. I was scared to walk into their rooms. I might have died under a landslide of plushie's and yaoi fanart.

I wasn't trying to be a total cunt.

The fact that I underlined "buy" was to enunciate the point that the discussion of illegal ways of obtaining anime (i.e. YouTube) is forbidden in this Club.

I don't give two shits if you own the anime or not. But for the sake of keeping with the rules of this Club, at least say you own it.

Meh. Or not.
